Genetic Theft and Underhanded Dealings

This is set just over four years ago, in Fade and Phase's past and is meant to explain the little development in Unfinished Business in the Training Dojo.

Mr Tylios was a senator of some import, currently at one of those 'parties' for important people that mostly consisted of standing up, eating food no bigger than your finger and generally showing you were still in a position of power*

*The mansion they were in was huge, the usual expensive chandeliers adorned the ceilings, while silk curtains matched the silk table cloths. Servants moved around the crowds, bringing with them platefuls of finger food and expensive wines*

*Tylios was wearing the most expenive suit he could find, it made him look imposing to the untrained eye. To the trained eye however, or thos that knew him would know he was quite relaxed, a glass of red wine in his hand as he chatted to a small group of peers. The current topic was the fact that he'd love to take a higher position, but a certain rival of his currently occupied said position and thus made it hard for him to do so. As a side he'd also mentioned that neither he nor his wife had the ability to have a child, even though they were both recieving treatment*

*Mr Tylios joked to the others, although he promptly recieved a small tap on the back after making the comment. Turning around, Mr Tylios was surprised to see a small but old looking man with a grey beard and receding hairline. This particular gentlemen Mr Tylios recognised as someone who he'd never though get to where he'd gotten to, though it was just below his station of import*

Would you care to follow me outside Mr Tylios? Your wife should come too. I believe I know a way to solve all your problems

[GBE]

Mrs. Tylios was doing the usual wives thing, talking to the other business mens, and politicians wives and girlfriends, making her husband look better as a public personality than he really was.

They did the usual wives thing of joking about their own husbands inadequacies. She kept it no secret that her husband couldn't get her pregnant, and that he was a little lack lustre in the bedroom department. To the really close knit wives, they spoke about their illegitimacies with other men out of sheer boredom.

She mentioned she'd left her, plaything as he was getting a little too clingy, and now threatened to expose her, they joked about having him permanently removed. Only some of the wives knew how easy this was to do, but only ever made a joke about it.

Looking over at her husband to do the cursory wave, she noticed a man had approached him, she thought she recognized him, and excused herself from the rest of the wives and headed over towards her husband and the man.

She attracted a lot of attention from some of the other men, considering she was wearing a very attractive red ball gown that exsentuated her slim waist, and her curvy hips and boosted her bust. Her hair was down, and flowed. She'd had red tints and highlights put in especially for tonight, she had to look her best. When stood next to Mr. Tylios, they offsetted each other like a perfect couple, the powerful businessman, and the attractive wife. She had more business sense then most really knew.

Holding her glass of red wine, the glass which looked a bit like a goblet, sat in her hand quite well, gently tapping her husbands arm, both to gain his attention, and to show her attraction to him, she puts on her best smile, and flicking her eyes towards the man, "Aren't you going to introduce me to your friend...?"

[Swix]

I was hoping the gentlemen would do us the courtesy himself, dear, since I do not know his name

*Mr Tylios said as his wife came up to them, before staring at the man intently. The short man bowed slightly before speaking again*

Ah, please forgive my rudeness. My name is Mr Humphreys, and if you'd please follow me outside? As I said, I know a way to solve your problems, but you must be discreet

*The old gentleman turned and began walking towards two large french doors that led outside. Mr Tylios turned to his wife and offered her his arm*

Let's at least see what he has to say dear, are you coming?

[GBE]

She turns to look at the other wives. They wouldn't miss her for a few minutes as they had surrounded a young bartender and had begun a little attack upon him. None of the husbands would notice, business was always on their mind. If they were as good at being good in bed as they were at business, there would be very few parties. She would swear they were an avoidance gesture.

She allows her husband to take her arm, and gently tapping his arm with her other hand, she smiles at him, "Yes, I think we should see what he has to offer. Another business friend is, invaluable as ever." There was the briefest flicker in her eye, that only lasted a few milli-seconds that showed her slight boredom with business.

She was a little fed-up of money, and wanted a little more attention. The price you pay for nice things. And her affair was now a disaster, she had only wanted fun, but he wants a relationship. He can't support himself, never mind her.

She takes the first step, playfully tugging her husban, "Well, aren't you coming dear?" She gives him a mock-stern look...

[Swix]

*Mr Tylios allows himself to be pulled by his wife, and smiles at her playfulness before he starts making his way outside*

Of course I am coming dear

*Mr Tylios says with a slight wink to his wife as they reached the huge garden. It was filled with many decorative looking outdoor chairs and tables, and the sunlight was pleasant*

*Mr Tylios frowned as Mr Humphreys instead made his over to a small patch of grass, away from everyone else and awaited them there*

[GBE]

Whispering to her husband "He looks a little serious. It just muuuust be important", as was usually the case with men dressed like Mr. Humphey, but she'd said it with an air of sarcasm.

Gliding across the ground, or at least that's what her ball gown gave the impression off, she crosses the expensive patio, the design she'd done herself, and walks onto the grass, looking around for any uninvited attention. She waits for Mr. Tylios to speak first, as was the case in most of the business dealings...

*Mr Humphreys grinned a little secret grin as both Mr and Mrs. Tylios made their way over to him, and pulled out two pieces of paper*

I heard you are having troubles. These are contact numbers to two who I believe would be able and willing to help you, for a price of course.

*Mr. Tylios watches disapprovingly, he was supposed to be the one speaking first not the little man*

What are you suggesting, Humphreys. Make yourself clear.

*Mr. Humphreys nods, handing over the pieces of paper which both appeared to contain mobile phone numbers and a name on each paper: Phase and Fade*

They will be able to help you, eliminate, your business competition Mr. Tylios. As well as indirectly helping you both with your other problem

What are you-

The problem you and your wife are having? If you can get their dna, I have some contacts who can take care of the rest of this. Their genetics should be strong, it would be wise

*Mr. Tylios scratches his clean shaven face, before turning to his wife*

What do you think dear, we could have a child...

[GBE]

Mrs. Tylios had almost had an heart attack when Humphrey's mentioned their other problem. Her hand actually flown to her chest as he'd begun to speak about their problem.

With a slight look of relief across her face, she continued to smile, although slightly out of annoyance, "It appears doctors and nurses are bad little people who can't be quiet, even when generously asked." She gives her husband a look of a later discussion.

"But a child is what we want most. We have spent a lot of time and money on this. I would do anything to have our own child. Perhaps we should consider it..."

[Swix]

*Mr. Tylios nods, and then looks at Mr. Humphreys who appears to be grinning*

And what do you get out of this, exactly?

*The little man shrugs his shoulders, almost apologetically to the pair*

Oh, don't worry. I'll get everything I need. Now go on, I'm sure you two have much to discuss

*Mr. Humphreys leaves without another word, leaving the two pieces of paper in Mr. Tylios hand*

[GBE]

Mrs. Tylios can't help but feel slightly unhappy with Mr.Humphrey's smile. As it was, he'd left them now, and she takes both pieces of paper from her husband and looks at them.

"Must we discuss this now. We do have a party to attend. This could be discussed later, could it not?"

[Swix]

*Mr Tylios stares at his wife with a shocked look. This was their chance to have a child, at the least she could be enthusiastic about bit, nevermind his business rival. That would of course, sweeten the deal. However he sighs and gives in*

Alright dear, we'll discuss this later, if you want to get back to the party so bad

*He once again offers his arm*

[GBE]

Able to read the look of disdain upon her husbands face, "If we discuss this now, people will start talking. If we keep this until after everybody has gone home, and you've kept a clear head for business, and got whatever deals you were after, then you won't make a mistake now will you dear."

She takes her husbands arm, and gives him a peck on the cheek.

Don't get me wrong dear, I am enthusiastic, but I'd like to keep things simple dear. Oh, we never got a contact number for Mr. Humphrey's. Thinking anout it, was he even on the guest list dear...?"

She begins to walk towards the main hub of the party again, slightly tugging her husbands arm...

You know, I don't believe he was. I cannot remember, there were such a lot. We should check afterwards

*He again let's himself be tugged by his wife towards the group*

*Later after everyone had gone and the place was tidy, Mr Tylios sits in a comfortable chair as he waits for his wife to discuss certain events and their plan of action. Should they choose to action a plan, of course*

[GBE]

Mrs. Tylios walks into what would appear to be a sitting room, she stops as she observes her husband, "Are you not going to read your evening paper? You must have a lot on your mind..."

She pauses as she walks over to the fire, and begins to spark a light to begin the burning of the coal. As it slowly begins to burn, she stokes it with a poker.

She's now changed from her expensive ballgown, to a simple ankle length evening dress, dark red that accentuate her curves. She has a thin shawl draped over her shoulders, and she's let her hair down, in preparation for bed.

She's about to walk over to the door, when Gregory enters, their resident butler with a tray, a pot of tea, a pot of milk, a small plate of sugar cubes and two plain white mugs. "Thankyou Gregory, that will be all tonight, you may retire if you so wish..."

Gregory makes a slight bow, tilting his head and the upper part of his body slightly, "Thankyou m'lady. I think I shall, it has been a long day. I bid you, and the sir goodnight m'lady..." With that, he turns and leaves the room, closing the door after him. For a few seconds, all that cen be heard is the checking of the front doors and windows, enuring that they are locked, before he quietly patters upstairs..."

"Would you like bourbon or congac with your tea dear...?" She begins to make two teas, one slightly smaller in volume than the other.....

Cognac please, dear

*Mr Tylios sighs, steepling his fingers together. The evening paper lay on the table in front of him, completely unmoved*

We should have a lot on both our minds tonight. But a cup of tea while discussing should help a bit.
