Deciding Who will be the Owl Sensei

Shaon, being herself, decided to make things difficult.

We have two people up for the Owl Sensei'ship. Shaon, mistress of the Master's Guild, and EnDschultz, Founder and Council Elder of the EC.

I feel both have proven their leadership, though EnD to a futher extent. So I leave this to the Council of Blackstar to decide? Who shall be the Owl Sensei.

Edit: an offer has not been sent to EnD. If he is accepted by the poll and turns down the offer, Shaon will get it.

Yet my old Yaut'jian ally will work nicely. A doer, indeed. Besides, the goddess of illusion has other dutuies to attend to in the master's guild.

Actually this has stumped me as well... we are looking for an Owl Sensei and we first think:

"Hmmm what would be the best Owl Sensei?"

"Wait, how about an Owl?"

"No, let's try a Wolf."

I've come to notice that no action has been taken for this. Is EnD to take the job or not? If not, I would be interested. The only request this as no Sensei has been appointed for the Owls.

3kul, darling. The position has not been filled, and quite frankly it seems a lot of people have forgotten about it. I only by chance decided to take to test when I was getting it for another person, got the owl result, and then decided to look into the requirements finding only that there were none and the owls had no Sensei. I feel that if this continues then it will be forgotten about, and that would be a shame.

And, after having a long discussion with two other members they both agreed I would be suitable for the job, and as for my role playing style it is quite similar to the requirements. You just don't know what I'm after; and seeing as I haven't been seriously participating here you have no right to judge from my lack of posting and such.

Are you done? Or must I speak more on the matter. I simply asked for the job if no one was going to be serious and take it, must I be evaluated?

Lighten up with your tone Raven, I don't see how I've gotten you so annoyed but evidently I've gone and said something that's somehow bent you the wrong way.

Firstly, it would be extremely arrogant of you to assume that you could get a job like this without being evaluated at all - all of the Sensei have been voted in, and that's the only fair way to do it imo. If someone votes without taking a person's skills and style into the equation, it's not a very sensible vote, now is it?

Secondly, it's slightly hypocritical of you to be angry at me for misjudging your style when you apparently haven't been posting all that seriously here. You can't expect to be a Sensei without participating seriously, and you can't expect people to be able to evaluate you properly without you showing them everything you've got, or at least explaining why you think this job suits you (which you still haven't by the way, 'I got Owl on the test' is not the most compelling of arguments, I was more hoping you'd elaborate on the similarities between your style and the definition of Owl style). To explain why I thought you did not match the Owl style, my initial choice for the Owl Sensei was Michael Rawlings, and from what I've seen your style is nothing like the person who RPs him - I judged you by comparison to the other candidates and the definition of Owl style, not by a lack of posting on your behalf.

So yes, I would prefer that you speak more on the matter, and since this is the kind of thing that would be put to a vote I'd expect that you'd most likely want to do the same - two votes puts you in a tie position with Shaon, who may or may not still be interested in the job, and can hardly be considered a majority vote.

I was not assuming. I'm sorry if I gave you the impression of thinking that I could get the job without evaluation, and I simply asked did I need to speak more on the matter. I was no way angry, believe me, you would know if I was. If I sounded arrogant I apologize for it, and if you need an example I would be happy to role play with someone for an example.

And I haven't been posting seriously, as in I haven't joined any major role plays. I feel that they are too far gone for me to just 'pop into' at the moment. And 3Kul, in my absence my style has changed. My characters have been edited, modified, twisted and deformed from their original, over powerful (IMO) selves.
