Say, what is it going to look like when people are training in more than one art? As of now we just have one belt or a solid color and a symbol on the belt representing the class. But if (for example), DP started training in monky style, he'd be a black tiger and a green monkey. Will there be multiple descriptions? Will there be multiple belts?
I like how there turned out to be about 6 styles when that's what will fit on the belts atm. That way if someone managed to miraculously become a belt (black/green/brown/etc-doesn't matter) in ever style the symbols fit just so when combined with the mod symbols. Congrats on that!
Also, you mentioned many people would satr at a generic red belt because they've shown the requirements before. If we start training at another belt do we have to start all the way at white again or at the lowest specialized belt.
EXAMPLE: I start with red (highest generic belt). I try for Spider and get a good status there. If I try and train in Mantis style, do I start at generic white belt or at generic red belt?

first off, if you train with multiple belts, you can only hold five belts (system limitation) And that means you'd have to shed some of your other spirit ranks/etc.
Second, if you get a good ways in Spider, and decide to start training in the Mantis style, you still keep your Spider belt, and once you meet the requirements for Mantis green, you'll be awarded that as a second rank.

I'm sure Al could up the five-belt limit without much trouble. I don't think an artist belt is appropriate. The belts are related to RPing, and whilst art can help with profiles, it's not a valid 'style' of roleplay.

I agree with Net - feel free to make an Artist's Guild or something with the group making item from the board owned store, or maybe make an 'unofficial' belt to put in your sig, but 'official' belts (ie: ones that appear under your username) should only be for RPing, since this IS an RPing site after all.

He's working on it, but from what I've seen of his requirements, you've got a tough road....Chameleon just might be the hardest path to walk (as it should be).

Indeed... Chameleon is likely to be at least as hard as earning two different Black belts, maybe harder...
And as was previously stated, once you've cleared up to Red belt (the highest generic non-style belt) you don't have to redo anything below it - when you apply for a style, just fill the entry requirements for Green.
However, it is possible to have to work back up through those levels again if you manage to make yourself a complete troll - the Admins and Mods are not above busting someone down a rank or two for major transgressions.
(I'm talking major stuff here, as in the kind of thing that lands you in the Hall of Shame. Demotion is unlikely (and I really hope it never has to be used) but it is a possibility in extreme situations.)
Shano - THAT Shuriken... I remember now! Apologies. And yes, I'd be willing to consider it as a "story" if you get a plot or series of story lines rolling through your comic.

It's fine. While I have yet to see the requirements, I did expect it to be more difficult.

...Why not have 'at least two Blackbelts' as the requirements, then? I doubt people (other than Swix) will go for Chameleon first, and since when do people need to progress in one belt at a time?

Rai is most definately a Mantis. Without her automail, she would be able to use her sword-thingie. And she can't perform transmutations quickly without both arms either. (They end up being really complicated, and it would be ridiculous to draw a billion different transmutation circle on a battle field while you're try to fight. )
Xuxi might be a Mantis, without her puppets, she's near powerless. She can phase through people and scare the hell out of them, though. 
The two characters that I just posted- Vatican and Ishi- would both be different... Vatican is a Mantis, maybe a Tiger... He gets his fighting from his guns. Ishi is a Spider- she doesn't fight too much, and is there as a supporting character for Vatican. I could go on, but I'd bore you with all the details. (GO MANGA-KA!  )

Ok...this is kinda slow. For those who had problems using services, such as the Talismans, the system is back up. Use those Tiger Talismans.
And any other talismans you feel like using...*complains about those good for nothing Mantis's with their two green belts already*

I can't help it that the Mantis style is just so much cooler and more popular than the Tiger style . Also, you happen to be one of those good for nothing Mantises .
Listen up Mantis-hopefuls! I'd like to make myself very clear about the requirements for the Mantis green belt so that we can get as many Mantis style RPers as possible:

This is probably one of the hardest to fulfil, and pretty self explanitory. For most people here, I'd imagine that the Corporate Development thread would be the source of the medal.

'Duel' is more a formal choice of terminology here, it's more just like fought with/attacked or something. Current Mantis belt bearers are myself, TheDarkPsycho and Goron40 - if you've fought any of us in the past, you meet this requirement. If not, throw down the gauntlet and issue one of us a challenge.

If you don't fulfil this requirement, hang your head in shame  . To be serious about it though, maybe try to get in a bit of practice around the training dojo, or get the hang of things through an actual RP.
That about sums it up! Now get over to the Tribal Pool Store and buy up those Jade Mantis Talismans - all the cool kids are doing it .

Trace seems like a mantis, but also a monkey, however he shows some different styles like a Chameleon sometimes.
