It's kind of like a spellcheck on a word processor,
it opens a new screen and picks out all the words it thinks are misspelled and offers replacements.
The problem is that the word you are trying to say isn't always there and it doesn't do grammar corrections...and it erm... has a BO problem (? Confused

)

I can honestly say I have never met this "Spelling Cow", and from the cries of dismay proffered over it's suggested use, that would seem to be a good thing. Little wonder it doesn't spell well or have a proper grasp of grammar; bovines are notoriously thick headed when it comes to language.

From the sounds of the previous posts (did you even read them?) the complaints about spelling cow were not from chatspeak, but a lack of grammar ability and poor dictionary.

Hurrr, that would be interesting. I don't know if anyone has come up with a Chatspeak spellchecker. Isn't that like saying dry water, or cold heat?

Last time I checked, chatspeak was so badly spelled there were often several different versions of the same word, and you needed a translator (10 year old or younger) to help you figure out what everyone was writing.

Yes it does. There's no good reason to use arcane abbreviations for proper words unless you're too lazy to type in the proper ones, which isn't a good excuse at all. Proper words and puctuation make written posts clear and simple for everyone to understand. Period.
