I have some sad, shocking, and distrubing news today.

It appears that Raven (aka Mr. Crow) has abused her powers and awarded an insane (in not the cool way) amount of currency to Thatanos.

What's worst, Thatanos then proceeded to spread it out to several people.

And I know exactly when each of these events happened, and to whom money was given. Me and Embri are working on taking away these ill-gotten funds.

Now to be honest, we don't know if it was Raven, or if Thatanos hijacked her account. But it doesn't matter, both his and Raven's account are banned until we can get things sorted.


I cannot explain how disappointed and upset I am. But I can start to explain how PISSED I am getting! I mean, me, Embri, and all the other honest mods work our butts off trying to provide a decent place for all of us to have some fun, and it seems like every time I turn around this week there's some news of someone throwing it in my face saying "F*** You!" I don't know about me, but damn it Embri and the others don't deserve that crap.

I thought I was nice. Only had two rules, and hey, even they weren't to stringent. But every time...You know what. I'm not going to bother with it. Straighten up, or your out of here...

And some of you already are.

To those of you who have done nothing: I'm sorry you've had to see this side of me. I enjoy your company, and will continue to work to get through this crap so you can enjoy yourselves here.

Ahh, I wondered how Thatanos got his hands on so much money...

I received 3000 , 300 , 30 Gerbils and 3 Souls from him as a 'birthday present' (clever, because it didn't make me ask twice ), so consider all that deleted. Earnest gift or not, I'm not really into 'stolen' money. To anyone else who received a donation from Thatanos, I'd suggest that you do the same - rather than bother DP with this though, just quote the receipt PM that you got from Thatanos and send it on to a mod, since we can modify cash too, and it'll lighten DP's workload a little.

Sorry that you have to deal with this kind of crap DP, most of us really appreciate all the great stuff you've got set up here.

If you spoke with him over MSN Trot (I assuming that you did, ignore my post if you didn't), your computer might've saved the conversation. To view it, go to Thatanos' e-mail address, right click it, and somewhere in that drop down menu there should be an option like 'view past conversations'.

Looks like he cleared out my store, how annoying, I only just re-stocked. Alright, I had five of everything, 3 items @ 600, 2 @ 500 and 1 @ 800, which makes 3 x 3000, 2 x 2500 and 1 x 4000, which then goes to 9000 + 5000 + 4000, which equals 18000 , correct? (sorry, I just needed to write all that down to work it out) 18000 deleted.

I also spoke with him earlier today, though he didn't mention anything worth noting before he disappeared.

I'm concerned. How can I tell if someone has donated money to me or not? I havn't got any notice on it, yet I'm scared that Thatanos might of shared some of his stolen money from me. Please clarify this with me, if you will.

Embri and I have already taken appropriate cash from those who recieved ill-gotten funds. If you have gotten no notice of such an action, your alright.

Now realize that Thatanos used some of the funds to clean out most of the store system, so technically you have some incalculable number of these funds, but it would require to much time to figure that out, so consider that a windfall for being an honest Dojodian.

unless your like 3kul who keeps active stats on your store....at which point alert an admin for any goods that you sold within the last 24 or so hours...especially if you had a good number and sold out.

I'd suggest you use those funds to get some Pony Express Delivery services so that you can restock, however.

Oh, I don't keep active stats, I only restocked a couple of days ago, so I just figured that it was better to be safe than sorry. For all I know I could've sold out before he got the money. But I can afford to make an assumption like that, since I have money coming out of my ears courtesy of my serious gambling issues (not a good moral for the kids at home, but I never said that I was a particularily good person ).

Like DP said, if somebody's donated money to you, you'll receive notification of it (in the form of a PM) - if you've received no PM, then you haven't received a donation.

I'd just like to say that I doubt Raven had any involvement in this. It just doesn't seem like the kind of thing she'd do, and why would she help out Thanatos of all people? It sounds like he got access to a mod's account and used it to give himself a large amount of money. Of course, I can't say for sure, but on first appearences and judging the characters of both people, I would be very surprised if Raven knew any of this was happening.

I'm disheartened that such a thing would happen on these boards. DP, Embri, if there's anything you'd like me to do to help out, I'd be glad to give you a hand. You've probably got everything covered between you, but just in case.

We're coping. I'm very sad and disappointed that someone would do something like this, especially because to shows a complete lack of respect for Au'Marui, the rules, and the Board as a whole.

We're still assessing the damage to the economy, but I have a complete listing of what Thatanos bought. (Needless to say all of those items were destroyed.)

If you wish to get rid of the money used, by all means do so. You can donate it to the Board's testing account, TestGuy.
