Don't ask me why but I was playing around with www.babynamesworld.com and having decided that Katy and all its variations had boring meanings and histories I started looking up other things.
I was looking up Danielle when the name Danika caught my eye. Suprising firstly because I had no idea anything closeer to my screen name than Dani was a real name, but also because it apparently means 'Morning Star'.
On its own thats not significant. But long after I started using this name, but before I found that out I started giving all my RP characters the surname Aurorel. Which means Dawn Star. _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

All you need now is an evil half with a name meaning night star or something like that . _________________
Bah, Give me 2 days and a load of napalm...
Haven't had much luck with my other RP characters. Alzaranth, Lopp and Veamoth aren't real names.
(ALthough I found out, again after I'd started using it, that Torene's dragon was called Alaranth.)
Nearest I found for Arian was Arien which means 'Enchanted'. But I know what Arian means anyway, its the welsh word for Silver, which is why I picked it. (Also means money.) _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

As most everyone knows, a homonym for Shaon (Sha-on, opposed to Shay-on) means time in hebrew. If that is not ironic, I don't know what is.
This has brought on other such psudonyms, most famously... damnit JquickTrans be useful for once and give me something better than umlauted Z...
Apparently it hates me. But it's the kanji for time. _________________ Shaon Galatea -- Artist | Musician | Radio DJ | Voice Actor | Writer |

Arian is also the obsolete spelling of Aryan. _________________ I LIVE. |

Perhap Evening Star might be a better choice instead.

Hmm...
Well the obvious one would be the Quenyan Undomiel, meaning evening star. But thats too closely associated with Arwen Undomiel.
But I've been playing with an online latin dictionary and come up with some posibilities:
Noctiel or Noctel for night star.
Vesper apparently means evening, which gives me Vesperi (Vesperiel?)
Theres also Vesperim or Hesperus which are actually latin names for the evening star.
(Which is actually the planet Venus, as is the morning star. Which coincidentally is my favourite planet.) _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott
