New RP Area for City/Town based threads?

It's come to my attention that the Underground Bunker is being used for RP's which was never the orignal intent of the bunker.

So I'm proposing a new section like... The Barrows, or something like that, to represent Psychotopia's more "civilized" areas to be open to the general Populace for RPing, unlike the City center.

Yay or Nay?

Also feel free to suggest a better name if you can think of one.

Um yeah Shaon has a... I guess you might call that a point... Psychotopia = Urban Environment... with random vegetables.

You're both wrong. Psychotopia = super exclusive + urban enviroment...with random weather.

What's she's suggesting is some kind of subarb of Psychotopia to play host to such RP's that by setting don't really fit in the wilds.

That's exactly it. Our only non-outdoors type board area is in the exclusive domain of the RP Masters, and not available to the general public.

I think a board for urban adventures is in order, and seeing that we've disposed of the Amphitheatre Lobby it's not like there would be actual increase in the number of boards.

Short of that, the RP's from the Underground Bunker are going to have to be shunted into the Wilds, which already has a number of good RP's running.

Perhaps a modest sized urban city has gown up in the area the Training Dojo, a separate city from Psychotopia,

perhaps it could be called-

Dojopolis Question

or

Dojo City, or
Dojoton
Dojoville
or Sensei City
or Springfield (no, the Simpsons already used that one)
or Metropolis
or Whoville
how about Gerbil City
or Corneliusville?

Sancturary Settlement Delta: As part of the Psychotopian-Dojo Technological Exchange Program, Psychotopia has created a settlement within the Dojo grounds as an extention to it's existing grounds. This base has enticed hundreds with it's location so close to the popular holiday spot that is the Dojo. This comes as a price, however, as so many innocent beings are sure to attract the darkness...

While I think "gobal" threads like Corporate Development fit well in the Wilds... some completely or mostly urban/indoor threads do not.

And if you read the history of the Training Dojo, you'd know it's a small building with a much larger inside in a forested/outdoor area, Goron.

Not exactly an urban place.

What's wrong with having multiple boards? It helps keep popular threads from constantly bumping each other off the upper part of the page.

You have yet another interesting idea Embri. You have my support. This should actually bring new types of roleplaying and new storylines to the forum, as people I'm sure will be happy roleplaying in this area...

I certainly will be interested, and am now thinking up ideas... Whoooooo, mah head is spinning.....

I personally love this idea. The only other area that was specifically for this purpose is probably dead, and it could only be accessed by mods and admin. This gives people the chance to explore other types of RP.

A name... a name... hmm, let's see....

Blackstarville?
Psychopolis?
Psychamlet?
Psychoville?
The Haven? (I like this one best)

A seperate village from Psychotopia, this small town is reserved for urban RPs.

Hmmm... many good suggestions for a name. If this poll passes with a majority, then I'll set up a second poll for voting on the name.

Sound fair? Could everyone just suggest one name? Pick your favorite if you've suggested multiples. I'll gather them all and we can decide as a group, if an Urban board comes to be.

If you could also include a short (one to two sentence) description of your Urban area, that would be most helpful. I'll start with mine as an example:

The Barrows - While the heart of Psychotopia remains closed to most, beneath the ground and around the city center exists a vast network of shanty dwellings, dark alleys and uncharted tunnels. Here, those down on their luck or who prefer to go unnoticed dwell...

^ That's sort of what I was looking for, description wise. A name and the basic idea of what your place would be like, so everyone can pick.

The chosen name/description will become the new board, and the person who came up with the winning idea gets a nice shiny Dojo Service Medal, so start writing~! Wink

The Civic - A metropolis-type area outside of Psychotopia's capital. The area is a self-governed community- if one could call it that. It's good place for those who wish to be left undisturbed.
