Cloning can be a long process, and there's not always a 100% success rate. You could end up with a demonic, mutant dragon spraying everyone with flaming acid lazer beams and swallowing the world, or it could just be mentally challenged.
Also, if you clone your dragon friend and let them breed, technically, they are family as they are pretty much identical DNA-wise, and that would be incest. I suggest she breaks the traditions, as, being the last of her species, there's no family left to frown upon her! Plus, she has a very good cause to do so, conservation! Did you know I single-handedly saved the entire penguin population from bird flu? Conservation is a great thing, so your friend should feel great about doing her part.
