Yes, crazy, I'm actually opening the Master's Guild for requests.

The masters are, currently, pretty much a 'pass go for free' card, as not only do you get access to Psychotopia, but to every board not restricted by another group.

To become one with the masters, you must PM me a request.

Using an Instant Messenger is a prerequisite, unless, however, your timezone serverly clashes with mine, in the case of 3kul.

I *will* be doing a personal RP with you, and I *will* be scoring it. I'm probably not going to tell you exactly what you scored, but if it is lower then a *ninety*, I will not let you into the Master's guild. The score will also dictate how long until you are allowed to reapply. Do your best.

On a final note, I reserve the right to decline your application. In that case, you really want to work hard and really impress me, because you must've pissed me off something fierce.

On a really final note, in light of the belt-rank system that may be replacing the current one, when put into place, only brown belts will be allowed to apply. Sorry, Forte.

I was always under the impression that I got in based almost entirely on that one sword fight with DP in the original Forum Wars topic.
If not then I have no idea.

Incidentally, obviously this is a purely theoretical question, but you mentioned that an instant messenger is a prequisite and that you'll be doing a private RP with the applicant. I assume this means the RP will take place in real-time over said IM.

So I'm just wondering, is time taken to reply a factor in your judgement?

I think it's more for convenience and privacy, given that we don't do that many real-time RPs. But I could be wrong.

I'd say you were chosen simply because you were an obvious choice, Danikat, not simply because of any particular awesomeness.

Time taken to post should amount to zilch in this sort of selection process (so long as it's not hours at a time to make tiny posts, that is) IMO, as it can take time to formulate a good post. I personally disagree with the IM system in general, it's generally too confusing and fast-paced for proper RPing.

EDIT: I just noticed that Shaon doesn't actually have an RP Master badge yet 0.o. Irony! Razz

I'm here for the fun, that seems like too much work.

Sooner or later I'll improve enough to earn one, or the time thing will click in and award it to me. This is all getting toooo formal for my tastes. I am not particularly a competitive person. I don't care to come under the judgement of this kind of IM trial. I hope that there are still other ways to eventually earn this, or I'll just have to fore go that experience in life.
