Admittedly, the baby stunt was low-risk but to even consider putting your child in anywhere near a dangerous animal like an Alligator is just plain stupid. What if there was a freak accident of some kind, or if the situation got out of control? It's not like the media was 'telling' us anything, there was video-taped evidence of someone dangling their child in front of a born predator for a live audience. It spoke for itself, IMO.

Still, he was a pretty good bloke, despite the occasional act of stupidity.

Apparently, his parents did the same kind of things with him, and his parents' parents before that, so it's not like he knew any better.

Personally after seeing the footage I was more worried that he wasn't supporting the poor kid's head properly, considering how weak baby's necks are.

And if people would just bloody look! The child was on the opposite side of danger! The only danger was Steve getting his arm bitten! I'm sure Terri would have never let him put the child in danger if that's what she thought!

Do you honestly believe he'd have done something like that if he didn't know what he was doing?! FFS! The man rolls around with crocs and alligators, I'm sure he'd have more fear of, I dunno, slipping than being attacked!
