...What happened to the good ole days, when the EC didn't get served by new-comers (The Guardians) and our plots were appretiated instead of attacked by Yoshimasaites? *Sigh*...

Maybe you need to be more selective. It doesn't take much to make an ECer these days... As for Yoshimasities, that just means your plots are getting better.

Zis vas naught but a ruze? Not exactly an evil plot. I have experienced vorse over my life. But bringing in child abuze vaz a little too much don't you zink?

Indeed, child abuse is not a laughing matter. Addman may have gotten ahead of himself there. It was designed as a mere jest, however it appears to have escalated beyond that. I assure you, our next plot will be much more insane than this one Wink

I concur on both your points, Mr. Doyle. This wasn't exactly one of our best performances, and our SiC probably should have considered the seriousness of the child abuse comments a little more extensively before posting them.
I assure you, we shall make every attempt to increase the hilarity of our plots in the future.

Personally I can't see why people are so upset over it.

I freely admit I was well and truly taken in by it. I spent 2 hours working out my initial reply to this thread, trying to make a valid point in a way the parents would actually listen to.

Later on, as things got stranger, I started to suspect something and after a little investigation I realised what was going on. And I laughed, esspecially at myself for falling for it. If I remember correctly I've fallen for every EC plot since their creation, no matter how many times I say I won't.

The child abuse refrences may have been going too far but overall there was no harm done and I hope that in time most of you will see the funny side. I said in my very first post that I didn't believe things like that really happened, and yet I still took the bait. Just a sign of how gullible we can be sometimes.

And I think HisLordship could be right that it may even have done some good for us. I know I never really realised how much RPing meant to me until I was faced with the threat of losing it.
Its easy to take things for granted, but its only when you can't do that anymore, when you have to fight to keep them, that you realise that you really care about them.
