Darkness...

Collator enters the training dojo, wanting to try out his most recent aquisition, a gun, that appears to be alien in design. Although, its rounds, seemingly in never-ending supply are made from what appears to be solidified darkness.

After further testing on unwilling users, the users appeard to eventually die from mysterious deaths, even when not in contact with the weaponry. Some just keeled over and died for no detectable reason.

After further testing, if only used in short bursts on occasions parted from other times of usage, the effects never seemed to catch up with the user. He had finally found someone who appeared to have control over darkness, and yet, he was so infantile, he did not know his own limits, and his own levels of power.

As he centered himself in the in what his scans detected that the room had advanced technologies that allowed it remain even in the greatest of distortions, protecting the outside world from both positive and negative effects.

Then, followed by a strange pattern of footsteps, Nobu comes skipping into the room. "You're shiny, metal man. You said I'd get a surprise if I followed you. Can I have my surprise now?"

Nobu looks around the room, trying to find what his surprise was, but nothing seems to be here, he scrunches his face up in confusion, "No surprise here? You lie? Lying is bad....."

Collator chuckles at the infantile comments from Nobu, "Yes, lying is, naughty. I will give you a surprise, but first, you must do something for me. Where are you little friends? I thought they were coming with you, little boy..."

Nobu frowns, "Am not little. Am big and strong. Noooooolaaaaaaaaa, Kaaaaalaaaaaaat. Metal man call Nobu little....." Nobu folds his arms, hunching his shoulders.....

*Nola, the red haired 14 year old girl with an unhealthy taste for making people suffer moves into the room. The brown haired and muscular boy known as Kalat followed closely behind her, and they both move to stand next to Nobu. Nola looks around the room, and seeing nothing of interest frowns at Collator. This was more because she was confident in her own abilities to disable anyone anyone telepathically, otherwise she'd have been terrified of the huge cyborg*

Nola: You better be nice to Nobu. Don't call him little. That's not nice.

*Kalat is a little more wary however, and keeps a close eye on Collator as he fidgets next to Nobu, uncomfortable in the cyborgs presence*

Collator is able to detect the nervousness within Kalat, as well as pick up on it telepathically, as it seemed to be in amongst his surface thoughts.

Felix patters in behind them all, absent mindedly brushing his tail against the door, causing it to close behind them. He sits down, and sniffs the air for a few seconds, watching Nola, Kalat and Nobu. Then he focuses on cleaning himself...

Collator looks down at Nola, "My, such a strong mind for such a young one. I expect you've had a lot of experience haven't yoU. Not all of it nice yourself, was it?" He looks at her questiongly, teasing her to answer her own hypocritical statement...

Looking back at Nobu, "No, I can see that you are strong, but, you aren't very big....." He said this to try and aggrovate Nobu into unleashing his darkness to a certain extent...

Stomping his foot, "AM NOT LITTLE!"

[Swix]

*Nolas expression changes, just slightly, to turn her inquisitive expression into a much darker stare*

Nola: Why do you want to know?

*Kalat takes a sidelong glance at Nobu, and sends a telepathic message to Collator. he's a little more polite than Nola*

Kalat:~Please don't do that~

[GBE]

Collator uses the established link, provided by Kalat to send a message back, ~ Why on Earth not, young man? What is it that you are afraid off? ~

Collator looks down at Nola, "Ah, you like to keep things a secret. It must be easy for you, living off this little ones powers? Oh, I can read it at the top of your minds...."

He looks back at Nobu, this was clearly going to be more difficult than he had anticipated, "Why don't you show me what happens when you're really angry? Come little one, lose control. I bet it was easy for you to get bullied, wasn't it? You're never going to be strong..."

Nobu looks both angry and upset, "YOU'RE WRONG! AM BIG AND STRONG! MEANIE!" A small ripple of darkness emerges from around Nobu's shoulders, almost ready to explode.

Collator smiles slightly, his eyes now with a slight glint as he watches the boy. If his friends became a problem, he knew Felix would react faster than any of them expected.

Felix, who lets out a slight meow, hearing Nobu yelling, moves into a postion more to the side of the group, but almost within a larger cats pouncing distance of Nola and Kalat. He sits down, and after a few seconds of staring, he continues to clean himself, licking his chest vigourously...

*Nolas stare darkens even more, even though she was looking up at Collator somehow she still didn't look intimidated. She stays where she is as the darkness radiates off Nobus shoulders*

Nola: I don't live off his powers, I can go home if I want to

*Nola says, folding her arms and pursing her lips*

Nola: We're his friends. I agree with him, you're a meanie.

Kalat:~You. Her. Him. But mostly her. Him when he gets angry, you have no idea what he can do~

[GBE]

Collator merely chuckles back at Kalat, ~ Honesty, I had not expected that from you. Him..... I look forward to seeing what he can do. That is why I am here...~

He can see the surprising confidence in Nola, "You refuse to be intimidated. You are but a mere child. It is odd for such a young one to be so cold and blunt. I'll deal with you in a moment..."

Smiling at Nobu, "Yes, I am a meanie, and I'm going to be mean to you, because you are small...."

Nobu's eyes narrow, "Nooola, I wanna play with meanie...." (This meaning taking him to his own personal dimension, and letting Nola and Kalat help him scare him and leave him with unspeakable things....)

[Swix]

Kalat:~You're here to see that? You'll be here, there, for a long time...~

*Kalat sends back, almost questioningly to Collator*

*A small, mean smile appears on Nolas face as she hears Nobu*

Nola: Yes, let's play with the meanie.

[GBE]

Collator chuckles back to Kalat, ~Afraid of her? For what reason? She is a tyke compared to you. Does she know of your fear?~

Nobu smiles happily, "Okay, we play..." With that, the darkness unfolds and shoots towards Collator, but as part of it reaches his leg, it stops, and appears to hover, holding back the rest of the darkness.

Nobu gets angry and tries to force out the darkness, but it won't budge, and it just seems to have formed alomst a cove around Collator. Collator in the meantime is scanning the fluctuations, the strange radiation and a strange energy eminating from Nobu and the Darkness. Everything is helping him gain an understanding of its inner workings.

"Nola. Why can't we play? I thought we could play...?" He sniffles a bit, and rubs his nose on his sleeve...

[Swix]

~No, that's my job... Do you even know what Nola can do?~

*Kalat replies to Collator, almost incredulously, although he wasn't about to give everything up just yet*

*Nola stares at Collator and the darkness that doesn't quite touch the cyborg as Nobu asks, and shrugs her shoulders*

Nola: I... don't know Nobu... Maybe he's just such a meanie he can't play?

*Nola begins to concentrate her abilities on Collator, hoping this would in some way help Nobu. If not, it should be punishment enough in itself...*

[GBE]

Collator chuckles again at Kalat ~Defiant to the last. I have an 45% idea of her abilities. Ah, I see she is attempting to affect me now, excuse me...~

Feeding back on Nola's slight telepathic link, all the while tapping the side of his head, ~Altering my perception upon reality. Is this how you get what you want? Do you think you can alter my perceptions when I am able to detect reality? It is not me, who is directly responsible for your little friends abilities not working. Can you figure it out, you're smart enough...~ He says this last sentance in a teasing manner...


Nobu tries to concentrate harder, but the harder he concentrates, the lesser the control he has over his own powers, which slowly receed back towards himself, and he stomps his foot. "Nooolaaa! No fair! I always play!"


Felix looks up to see what Nobu's doing, and stares, ready to move if he makes an aggressive action....

[Swix]

*Kalat pouts and folds his arms, he doesn't like Collators attitude. It was too 'I know something you don't know', like what kids would play on the playground, but more dangerous. Then again, the cyborg now had Nola to deal with*

*Nolas eyes widen as Collator talks to her through her minor link. That part of the link, feedback, was particularly weak, yet he'd somehow managed to talk through it to her*

~Your detection of reality is perception, isn't it? What else is there... Collator. Why do you tease us? What have you got against Nobu? He never did anything. He's our friend and I want to protect him from people like you~

*Nolas mind voice is filled with spite, in her trawling through memories she comes upon something that was probably put near the surface on purpose*

~The gun uses darkness too?~

Nola: Nobu! He's got something with darkness in it... But it's in his leg... We should leave, find somwhere else. Have some fun. He's a bully.

[GBE]

Nobu looks at Nola, completely confused, "Where is dark? No dark. Nobu has big shadow. But no dark..."

Collator stares at Nola, she managed to filter through his thoughts with more ease than he'd allowed for. He raises his defences slightly, attempting to see how strong she was. ~Interesting. Detection of reality is perception.

But then, I do not have to rely on my mind, and eyes, I can compute and scan what is real and what is not. Can you affect the mechanics of my mind young lady?

I do not see why you believe that I wish harm upon you and your friends. I only wanted to see how his powers work, but it appears it will not attack itself...~

Nobu appears to have been thinking, "Kalat has big gun...."

*Nola has the look of someone eho doesn't quite believe what she's hearing*

~Why not just ask? Or at least tell us, we could've shown you. Instead you choose to be a bully~

*Nola then looks down at Nobu, as he says he doesn't understand what she means*

Nola: That's it Nobu. He has a shadow, like your big shadow but smaller

*Kalat's grip tightens on his shotgun after hearing Nobu*

Kalat: I have a big gun. What would you want me to do with it?

[GBE]

Nobu looks a little confused at Nola. "Shiny Metal Man has little shadow? But shiny metal man is big...." Pausing, he stares at Kalat, "Nola said gun, you have gun...."


Collator smiles to himself, ~It appears he doesn't quite know what he is capable off. That's why i asked you here young lady...~
