The Devil Bird

(This is taking place in the Black Forest. Anyone can join in, so please do. I hate being bored.)


Silver Phoenix had just had a bad run in with a hunter, seeing her as an exoctic bird to put on display. As he drew back on his bow, she flared up in hot blue flames and she waited for the hunter to let loose his arrow. Her eyes were red with rage.

The hunter had thought she was merely a rare form of peacock. He had no idea it was a fire bird. It was truely a legendary site. And although he was stunned for a second, he couldn't pass this up. He let his arrow fly, aiming at her heart.

Phoenix screeching like an eagle, twisted to the side in a brilliant flash of color. Then she breathed in and opened her mouth and sent out a flamethrower upon him. He was set on fire and he dropped his bow and ran, running into a lake. But she persued him, her flames turned off now, she attack his head, gripping it with her talons. The man took out a knife in desperation, and cut one of her legs, but she held on eventhough she bled. She gripped more, crushing his skull slightly and she brought her neck down and she pecked out his eyes.

Soon the man, not being able to see, he fell into the water. The demonic bird dragged him out like a roc would do to cattle, and she layed him on the shore and began to slice and eat him.

A being, which seemed to be composed entirely of red swirling mist, walked out of a nearby tree. After a few minutes of standing there, the individual particles of mist start to curve inwards, landing at predetermined locations, eventually forming the shape of a man

Nothing to ordinary about this person. From the ground up, he wore combat boots with a urban camoflauged patterned pants (grey, blue and white). On his left him was a sheath, that appeared to have nothing in it at the moment. His shirt had it's sleeves ripped off, and on his left arm he had a gauntlet like armband that he was messing with. He was very well built, though his face gave the appearence of age and wisdom. His beard gave his face a nearly streamlined look, and his ears had been pointed. He wore his hair in a crew cut, not to short, but not to long. The most noticable feature was his eyes, or lack there off. Where his eyes should be, sat two orbs glowing a pale ice blue.

Then he spoke. His voice carried a great authority and power, but was wisened enough not to startle or scare, just make you respectful.

"Why do you eat my hunters, Pheonix? I have a hard enough time getting them to venture into the Black Forest with the EC pulling their pranks. Now if they hear of a demon bird, they will surely stop coming in here altogether."

The God of Insanity sat their, and waited for his answer.

[Jent]

*Trace does his usual routes in the black forest, looking around for a rare flower to the dojo. But the black forest has more of the flowers because the EC members can't touch them without getting pain in the process, only heroes can touch them.*

*When he reached a lake, he saw DP in one of his form. But what surpised him was a huge bird, then he thought.*

~Wait, birds like these live here. The odd thing is the bright colors.~

Trace: Hello DP, what ar you doing here?

[Cloud]

*Cloud was about to scare the hunter, one of his many pranks that he did when he was bored, but a strange bird beat him to it. Seeing DP materialise and another being unknown to him, Cloud stepped out of the shadow of a tree where he was hiding.*

That is unfair. I have an official decree here that only permits members of the EC to scare/kill people in the black forest.

*This 'official decree' was suspiciously written in Cloud's handwriting and haphazardly 'sealed' with what can only be described as a rock print made to look like the seal of the dojo.*

[Leporidae]

Lep was praticing her skills as a flyer in the black woods. The burnt trees make the best obsticles and it's really spacious. Her claws grabbed onto a dead branch and started to swivel around before unleashing herself, giving her a nice boost up in the air. Unfortainitly, she forgot to flap her wings, becuse she was concentraiting on thinking how fun it was to swing on the now broken-peice-o-burnt-junk. It was only a matter of time before she landed on her back a few trees away from the bird, witch acttually happend.

After a minuet or two of back pain, she got her self up, punched the air above her and exclaimed with much enthiusiasm "Woohoo! That was FUN! I gotta do that AGAIN!" After that, she dropped her fist and blinked a few times, trying to think of what just happend.

Silver continued to eat the man until she felt the presence of some being behind her. Her eyes narrowed angrilly. She hated when she was bothered while she was doing most things, including eating. Turning around, her body flared up in whitish blue flames and she looked into piercing blue eyes of a man, who seemed oddly powerful.

"What do you mean your hunters! I wouldn't let him kill me! He needed to die!" She screamed.

Then she saw another man, and heard what seemed like another intelligent bird flying around....but she sounded like she was foolish. Silver didn't have time for this. She was really wanting to fly away now, but, this man.....maybe she wanted to know something. If she was wrong, she would leave.

"NO. He did not need to be killed. He was wrong, I sent him hunting other creatures, not you. But Justice in this world is dealt by me, not you.

Now, if you'll stop chewing on his inards, and tell me who you are, I'll let you be on your way. "

It was at this time that DP had noticed Trace.

"Do you mind, I'm kinda in the middle of something. Should you be trying to get one of the Relics or something?"

DP turned his attention back to the Pheonix

"And if you don't mind, I'd much prefer dealing with a humaniod form."

"Very well master of the realm!" She screeched, and she flew up high and spun, making a vortex of flames. When she appeared again, she floated down appearing as a teenage girl with black hair, yellow eyes, dressed in black and red armor and pink garments.

"I am Rei. And I am not from here." She told him. Her voice was cold and powerful.

((Why would a Forest filled with evil and named 'The Black Forest' have flowers in it at all? I must solve this problem!))

The sounds of engines roaring suddenly kicked in, and could soon be heard throughout the Black Forest. It was time for the EC Grunts to do the weekly mowing, though this time they were running late. They'd been ordered to kill every last flower by sundown (simply because sundown seemed like a cool and unrealistic deadline to set) - if they ever hoped to make it on time, they'd need to kick it into high-gear.

Trace: I got a rare item already, and I'm here to find a rare flower that grows so easy here. Evil creatures get hurt by touching them, heroes can touch them, while most neutral go right threw them. Oh I almost forgot, here have a pocky cake. 100% non tampered by fort.

*Trace grabs a cake out of his back pack, then hands it to DP.*

Trace: Have you seen a flower called the Eily Flower?

Right as Rei transformed, she was there.

The massive vixen posed on the branch of a nearby (dead) water oak, the branch, unrealistically, not bending under her weight.

She made herself even more known, speaking in her distinctive echoing voice.

"A humanoid form, you say? Why, perhaps, did you declare a horse to be future ruler of your country, then? That would involve much dealing with a non-humanoid. His horn's abilities only extend to the mind."

Loud whoops and cheering could be heard as the grunts mowed down yet another patch of flowers. Though the grunts would certainly be affected by the magic of the Elie flowers if they touched them, the mowers, being relatively neutral, appeared to be unaffected by flower power. The flowers on the other hand felt themselves rather painfully shredded into a million pieces, before being set on fire by last grunt in the group, who'd had the insight to head back to the Cave and get a flamethrower to better ensure the maximum success rate of their botanical genocide.

((3kul, machines are not affected by the plants power, but the energy that checks if its good, evil, or neutral would go over the device until it can't extend that far off a wave or hits a good, evil, or neutral. Weak organisms like decaying flesh or plant food don't go in good, evil, or neutral because its to simple. You better watch out for the 5 hundred footer, if a evil creature touche it, they may fry. But if you attack the big you I'll say how it takes damage.))

*The huge one is feeling the pain of the weaker, it starts attacking any grunt that hurts the flowers with the trees.*

((Oh, it is ON now Trot. You and your flower army are going down. Btw, why would you ever need to ask people where to find a 500 ft flower? Unless you're blind, it'd seem like a pretty obvious thing.))

The grunts were sent flying by the giant flower's attack, and their ride-on mowers were smashed to pieces. The grunts, an obviously dim-witted lot ((it's not like we'd send out the best of the best to do this kind of work)), gave up and turned back towards the Corrupted Cave.

The battlemonkeys on guard were in the middle of a rousing game of "who can snipe the tiniest woodland creature" when they noticed the grunts on their way back. The grunts voiced complaints about the flower, asking whether or not they'd done enough yet, a question which was answered with a thumbs-down from the battlemonkeys (as well as several ruder gestures). The 500 foot flower was quite clearly visable to all, and one could almost choke on the joy that it was spreading throughout the forest. If they couldn't take care of that before sundown, well, most preferred not to speak of the kind of punishment they'd receive.

The grunts decided to have a quick look around the Cave for something that might help against a gargantuan flower, and managed to sneak a large barrel of Agent Orange out of the EC kitchen, as well as a few experimental weapons, amongst which included chainsaw launchers, termite chain guns and various other weapons that were probably more dangerous than useful.

With a tremendous explosion, the barrel of Agent Orange was blasted into the air (courtesy of a slightly modified BFG), and the battlemonkey sharpshooters fired at it the moment it was above the giant plant, showering the Black Forest with the deadly herbicide.

((Apologies to any non-floral people in the Black Forest atm, you might want to vacate it or something Oh, I just noticed how very off-topic I am... Um, well, I spent enough time typing this, so I don't really just want to delete it. Maybe we can just work it all in somehow. ))

[Swix]

*Overhead, what appears to be a gigantic golden eagle with bright green eyes soars above the gathering, watching with her enhanced vision. Harpy would chuckle to herself at the hunters fate if she had the right equipment to do so in this form. As it was she didn't, and so couldn't*

*Harpy had left the cave she and Kafka had been inhabiting for some time now in order to stretch her wings, being stuck in this form could sometimes take it's toll, and the fact she couldn't speak was most annoying. The reason the mutant was stuck in this form was because she was pregnant, and the offspring developing seemed to require the metabolism and protection this form offered them. Inside Harpy, ten eggs were beginning to mature*

*The huge bird contented herself to watch the events, as well as the flower war that seemed to have started up a short distance away*
