Changes, Changes, Changes

As you know, the general webmastery of this site, plus my real life, leaves me with little time for the details...and the devil is in the details.

So, to keep things running smoothly, I've appointed a new admin, in charge (officially) of Item creation and problems, Store issues and restocking, and medal distribution and creation. And that Admin is...Embri!

As part of this move, to restock your inventory with an item you sell, you will have to buy the "Pony Express Delivery Service" from the Board store...don't worry, it's reasonably priced. But this will allow you to alert Embri directly with what you need. You don't need to use more than one of this service to get more than one item, just list all of what you need in the one message for the use of that service.

I hope this helps iron out some of the wrinkles involved with the lag in getting the admins to do stuff.

"You can purchase either a restock or a new item request in the Relics of the Dojo store. All currently listed items will be created without charge before the new system comes into play. I have lists, so don't even think of trying to slip something by me..." Embri grins, showing off her pointy teeth.

"Anything created after today will require an Importation License or Pony Express service."

Hrrm. Embri, I don't suppose you could get around to finally supplying my store? I've only waited, let's see, since the 8th of June.

If I have to pay now because of the fact I've been waiting semi-patiently for over a month, I'll:

1. Scream.
2. Foam at the mouth.
3. Contemplate deleting my store topic, and my empty, empty store.
4. Seriously rethink about whether the idea of making a store was a good one.
5. Give up and sob uncontrollably.

I'm on it, Cirral... really, I am. I know you've been waiting, and your comments of waiting have not gone unheard... you were one of the reasons I asked DP if he would allow someone to help out with the Stores...

Let me assure you, everything that is currently listed in the Marketplace will NOT be subject to ANY charge... all your items will be delivered shortly, no payment required...

Also, anyone who has fewer than five items will be given a number of Importation Licenses for free, to get them up to five items. This may take a while, as we have a number of members, and I will fill the item requests first.

If you have no items, you will get 5 Licences.
If you have one item, you get 4,
Two items, you get 3... etc.


If you've got five or more items already, you can buy your own!

In the spirit of fairness and to encourage good commerce, this should allow everyone to have the ability to request five items for free.

I'm working on all the items currently listed - buying the service isn't going to make it go any faster, because there's only one of me to go around! I'm working basically from oldest post to newest... have a bit of patience, and I'll get everything done.

Anyone who's items were not made on this first run through is because of the following reason(s):

Unclear description
Problems with the item
Deemed too powerful or not practical

I'll either leave a PM and/or a post in the Marketplace explaining. Revise the item(s), and I'll make them happen.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

All items that were free of problems have been added to the system and the appropriate accounts, and Importation Licenses have been issued for the entire Dojodian community. *whew!*

Now, I'm going to be teaching for today and resting my hooves, which are about to fall off from repetitive mouse button clicking. ENJOY! I'll be back on duty come the weekend.
