Dazed and confused

What is going on? My world is turned upside down once again. This should not happen twice in one's lifetime! But it has, and I am forced to reevaluate myself once again.

I did not want this. I did not want to become what I am, did you know that? No, I think only one person would know that.

I just wanted to do my job, go through life, make my brother, my real brother, proud of me, wherever he is... No, that is a foolish notion, he is dead and that's all there is to it.

But then, I found out the truth about myself, and my world was turned upside down for the first time. I accepted, for my life and for my lust for revenge that had also surfaced. For the fact that I was one of them, a freak, and in a way for me I felt this would put things right.

I thought things had settled, I thought the shakeups had ceased, but no here I am again. In the middle of a shakeup, and again by the same person.

What was I to you then, I wonder? A tool perhaps at the start, one to be moulded to spec. What am I now? I must be more, or what has happened would not have.

What are you to me? I anticipate the question back. Then, I am not sure. Both protector and captor at the start, but then it became something more. A relationship of sorts grew, and now here we are.

But I never could have expected this

My world is once again shaken by its foundations, and here I stand, dazed and confused.
