Equana walks in looking puzzled. Seeing the cut on Kat's foot, she leans down, and taps it with her horn. The cut suddenly vanishes, leaving not a trace to show lep's injury.

As Natu jumped, Kat ended up hitting the weapons rack. She takes a moment to set the rack up before another practice charge, not giving a lot of attention to the new swords on the rack.

Short sword is a term descriptive of the size of sword rather than a particular type of sword itself (and contrary to what folks tell themselves, size does matter).A short sword is generally any bladed weapon longer than a dagger but shorter than a longsword. Throughout history, short swords have been popular as both primary weapons and back-up weapons. Warriors not quite strong enough to wield a large sword carried them; the lighter weight of the weapon made it very effective in a close quarters melee. Spearmen and archers often carried short swords as a secondary weapon, should they have to close with and fight their opponents.

*happy spices* Sword: The *happy spices* Sword is a long, straight bladed weapon with a rather plain, undecorated grip. While the blade could be used for thrusting, most often the wielder would swing it like a baseball bat. Ordinarily the weapon could be wielded with one hand, but the grip was long enough to accomodate a two-handed grip when necessary. The blade length was rarely much longer than that of a simple longsword, but because the weapon could be used with two hands (although there was really just enough room on most grips for about one and a half hands), it really couldn't be categorized as either a one or two handed weapon, making it a *happy spices* as far as swords go.

Greater Sword: Despite their straight blades, greater (two-handed) swords were designed for swinging, rather than just thrusting. These are one of the few swords designed to and capable of crushing through heavy armor. A lot of strength and space are needed to use a two-handed sword well.
