Goron seems serious about getting the Olympics running again. To tell the truth, I myself have been anxious as well. By popular demand, we're looking like we're going to the finals.

Not that I believe we'll have a problem, but I noticed one of the things that showed up in our "judging" by 3kul was the fact that we didn't really do to much prep work for the match. I beleive we got lucky and our opponents were even less coordinated, had we gone up against the EC or the Guardians, we might not have fared so well.

Our opponents are all well known by the whole of Blackstar, and we are not ignorant. You two have most likely seen them fight in other threads, if not that, then I'm sure you read their first round. You did read the first round didn't you? *Glare*

They are fairly well coordinated, and provide a wide range of skills and abilties. Fortunately, so do we.

In any case, I would like ask HisLordShip to continue as our judge. If he hasn't responded to this thread in 4 days, I shall contact him via PM.

I did indeed go and have a read through their first match. However I may well have to go and re-read it again, just to be sure. I believe they had GBE, playing as a character named Jho'Lhak leading the group?

The others were Sekhmet, Shadowveils character, who seems to be an experiment of some kind. Goron as Goron, and Shine as Whiteoak.

I would personally be more worried about Whiteoak, as his character seems to be adept at both magic and technology, the latter of which pose a problem to us.

I am however, not suggesting we take the others lightly. They are all rather formidable, and have one more person to their advantage.

I have read vhat I can, and vill uze zis to our advantage. I am mozt concerned about ze mages. However, if ve can zeriouzly injure ze other two, it vill give uz an edge, az ve vill only have two to remove from our pathz.

It would seem we have won the first round of the 2006 RP Olympics, despite our apparent lack of teamwork.

So we will definitely be up against the Guardians in the next round. So I have scouted out their profiles from the Hall of Records and put them here for convenience and to save the rest of you time.

Strategy suggestions or comments anyone?

Details:

His eyes are almost pure black. He has no hair or facial hair, but instead has several strange pins sticking out of his face and head. Many have tried to use them as a weapon against him and have failed. No-one truly knows what they're for, but it was a sacrifice made by him in order to become as powerful as he is. They cause him no pain, and he enjoys seeing peoples reaction to them.

His pins can be used as conducts for pure Magick when he charging himself up for a war. When he is at full power, they crackle with lightening. They are constructed from something his people call longium - a non metallic substance that lasts for centuries and is incredibly hard to break.

His true motives are unknown. He seems to be peaceful, but destroys his enemies maliciously. He relies on the support of the leaders of the Mageus Region, The Elders. He is very diplomatic, but will not bow down to threats or violence, he does not condone violence in his space and punishes those who are violent with an incredible severity. He is respected, and in turn respectful of others wishes unless they threaten to cause harm to his people. His tactical abilities in warfare are immense, and so far unchallenged.

Abilities:

Has no known superhuman abilities but is an experienced master of Magick. Many believe him to be more powerful than he claims.

Skills:

He only uses a few Magick skills regularly. He has cosmic awareness, allowing him to know exactly what's going to happen and combined with Cosmic knowledge which allows him to know an incredible amount of things, makes him a wise person and powerful person affiliate with.

He can terraform any room in which he remains in for more than five minutes, giving him an almost unlimited control of that room. He can become part of that room and manipulate it to an extent.

He has been known to give and take powers away from allies, friends and family as he wishes. He has not used those powers himself. He is partially feared in the belief that he can use them himself. He has never clarified this. He can claim other peoples Magick energy if they use it within his special chambers on his planet or in his personal transport ship via crystals that react to Magick, glowing a diamond white. They can absorb any Magick in the air and channel it to him as long as he wears a pendant.

He can cast curses and can heal others - but in return, they must give something back to him as a gift to the Universal Magick. His spacial region is endowed with a growing supply of Magick crystals that when broken as a gift return Magick energy back to the universe.

He can maintain a constant forcefield around himself and one other. He can create forcefield walls that are only temporary and stay even when he has left the area for upto 10 minutes. He can fire pure energy in the form of Magick at people which carries a lot of force and on impact tends to cause severe muscular injuries and unconsciousness (however, this is very draining on his powers and he needs a lot of Magick crystals in order to be able to fire many times).

He has several weaknesses. He has little control of his Magick abilities when he is in an unknown location. He prefers not to use melee attacks. He is not the quickest to use his Magick in the general scheme of things, but is the fastest in his region. Wars of Magick have been known to span decades. For more powerful or higher density of Magick to be used, he needs a few seconds to get it precisely correct. He has little power if he has not repaid the Magick debt back to the universe. So in order to be at full power, he must return some Magick or mystical energy to the Universal Magick stream.

He is able to pilot Space Ships, but during wars, his army tends to use Space Whales. Huge creatures that are incredibly thick skinned. These space whales also feed of the Magick Crystals for sustanence. They travel the universe following a 'seasonal pattern'. They have been around for an unknown length of time, but have always been used by Jho'Lhak's species as vessel of wars and transport ships. The Space Whales can carry half an army inside of them at any time. They can smash through most Space Ships. Their communication can be used in destructive bolts of energy.

Weapons:

His main weapon is a staff that he gained from a planet he was on during his youth. The staff is made from Sentient Stayash Trees. The only way to gain such a staff is to be a loyal friend or ally of the sentient Stayash. The staff itself is sentient and reacts to the Magick and emotions of its user. It can also grow in size with it's user. Even when all forms of Magic were disabled, it will still live through the pure energy of its spirit.

This particular staff can only be wielded by Jho'Lhak unless otherwise given permission by Jho'Lhak. It can be combined with charms, Magick Crystals and can even use spells of its own accord, providing these are stored within it. It has a limit of five spells, those currently in use are:

A force field of immense strength
A blast of raw mystical energy enough to concuss and injure most opponents
Levitation
A light spell (able to create light, or a blinding flash)
Healing spell
The second weapon, so to speak, is a Magick Crystal turned charm that gives Jho'Lhak a defence against any known and custom made charm. The reason why it is so effective is because it's had centuries to be bolstered with new spells to allow it's defences to grow. He always wears it underneath his clothing out of view.

As the Stayash Staff is sentient and living, it requires Magick as this is a core part of their existance. Negating this would be adverse to it's health. It also feeds of sunlight like all other plants. When out in space, and wrapped in a forcefield with its wielder, it can provide a constant supply of oxygen.

Summons:

Light Sprites:

Jho'Lhak, through his years has collected several summons, many he does not use anymore. However, the most common ones that he will use are beings known as Light Sprites. They not only provide light naturally, but can carry messages across vast distances to other Mages and such like. They are friendly up to a point. At their most aggressive, they can cause burns on any enemies through physical touch, and should they get close enough to your face, can create a blinding flash.

Exvolae:

A recently aquired summons is an alien creature Jho'Lhak has named Exvolae. The rest of his species has been banished into two seals. Jho'Lhak can summon any of them, but the most powerful of the group is Exvolae. He can absorb magic and magick (and all other names) energy. The more he absorbs and learns, the more powerful he gets, and can cast several spells himself.

His general appearance is a long slender, yet muscular body, that doesn't appear to have skin as such, and has a sheen to it. When on all fours, his body is quite low to the ground, except when being aggressive, or running. His feet have large claws, that tear up the ground as he moves. They can tear through most materials with a little effort. The healing factor of his species is immense, and wounds tend to be fully healed within minutes, especially if they stop to lick themselves, as their tongues appear to have healing bacteria.

Their tongues, when used are fairly muscular, and can latch onto items, and other beings. Their saliva is quite sticky, although, it is painful for them to have their tongues cut.

Their bodies also appear to have a strange kind of exoskeleton, with it running along the spine but not connecting to what appears to be an external skull. Also, some exoskeleton appears to be along his limbs. A more recent transformation has given Exvolae two semi-curly horns that could impale most beings. Also, a thick, medium length tail has grown, which has a strong enough flick to trip opponants up, or throw them across short distances...

Known Family:

He has several children and grandchildren who own different regions of his spacial territory. All of them considered to be lords and ladies and heirs to his mantle.

History:

He has been around for an unknown length of time. Using his knowledge of Magick and alliances made with alien species who brought technology to their world, they were one of the founding members of the Mageus Region of space which is mostly peaceful, willing to trade and highly aggricultural.

His people are not particularly an attractive race, but appearances can be decieving. His people are very concious of how they look to other species and are very shy about it. The general populace are kind and generous, although the patrolling gaurds and soldiers are fearsomely aggressive.

Whiteoak Once upon a time there was a college (associate) professor who played Creatures on his computer at work. He inter- bred the best C1 norns he could find until he had developed a breed of the very best. They were good eaters, highly intelligent, friendly, good travelers, and not overly obsessed with kiss-popping. One went immortal, but he didn¡¦t want immortal norns so he deported it and left it in the Creatures file. This norn¡¦s name was Whiteoak (seeing as it had a wood norn¡¦s head). The norn got bored in this file, sitting there unused, so it started to rummage around the Professors computer, soaking in as much religion and philosophy as possible. Soon it realized that it existed, then it realized that other things existed, and also that a much larger world existed. One day Whiteoak also discovered the college net, and it really started to travel, picking up all the learning that this college had available. At first he was especially interested in all things technological, frankly he knows a heck of a lot more than I do. Then one day he happened into a Philosophy student¡¦s computer, found a few hidden files and discovered a whole series of qabbalistic and magickal rituals, and while reading them, the Archangel Michael, answered a call and was amused by what he found. So he took Whiteoak in as a "pet¨ and taught him even more, introduced him to his angelic buddies and the other three great archangels, enhanced him in many ways, gave him a physical reality. He is about 4 ft tall with great strength and agility. He was enlisted him into the ¡¨Angelic Special Forces.¡¨ He is a blessed being, Just as there are some beings who are or have become truly evil, Whiteoak is one of those beings who at heart is truly good. Vampires who drink his blood, will boil from the inside out, like drinking holy water in some mythologies. Yet while he is good, caring, compassionate, and all that good stuff, well, sometimes great evil must be met with great force. He is a part of that great good force in the universe

Appearance: He wears clothing made of something woven and vaguely metallic (highly thermal), this is covered by armor plates which are white, opalescent and iridescent (extremely light weight and highly impenetrable to edged and projectile weapons, bi-layer hollow so as to reduce kinetic pressure injuries typical to hard armor.) The back of his hands are covered by single layered gloves of the same material. He still wears the red topknot traditional for males of his breed.

Main weapon: He carries a hardened white oak (looking) walking staff with a pointed blade tip which looks like black diamond (blended with crystallized titanium,) the hand grip area appears pearly opalescent, on which is a control pad for the electronics)
He is an advanced student (not really quite yet a master) in both shaolin staff forms, and ("american") jiu-jitsu

-The blade is manufactured diamond (for hardness) tempered with crystallized titanium for added tensile strength. cuts almost anything.
-High energy laser, cutting laser, light saber, weapon and/or cutting tool, Holographic projector
-general illumination

-tractor beam (grab and/or pull, large or small, up to ten ton max)
-force field (push and/or smash, large or small, up to ten ton max)
- - - both can be either inertial neutral (not affecting Whiteoak, including lifting capability) or the staff can be used to move Whiteoak relative to an object.

-all powers can be finely focused or broadcast.
As he sets his staff down, it powers down, no longer receiving the bioenergy recognition of its owner. He can carry it strapped on his back when he rides on Obed.

His "Right Hand"

(This change happened to Whiteoak over in Gameware, but it is a change I want to make permanent, so I’m putting it in here too.--)
As a result of needing to apply a prosthetic right hand following a Mech attack, Whiteoak devised a special appliance to replace the damaged hand. The right hand now has a new set of abilities. When he curled in his three fingers and pointed the first finger, like when you were a kid and pretended to have a gun--- he did have one; fully automatic and never needed reloading as the bullets were made from earth magic. That magic setting could be adjusted (from this default setting) to other types of projectiles, including, but not limited to ice, fire, water, wind, (speed fully variable) and also a plasma beam setting and intentionally including silver bullets. He had a grip that could crush coal into diamonds (at its fullest setting.) He had tried for “spidey” webbing, but couldn’t get the sticky, swing from building to building thing, but he did come up with the ability to cast various sizes of nets in a very strong semi-metallic twine that would encircle and tighten on contact. When he puts his hand to his ear, it sends out an invisible, magic, carrier wave beam that he can “target” with an internal “heads up display”. This allows him to “eves drop” on anything in visual range. It also has the ability to mentally communicate back to his object person if he intentionally chooses. (It’s not a full telepathy; it must be someone with in visual range.) One more ability, that being; when he wills to, he puts out his hand, palm forward and an energy field emerges from it. It can function as an additional shield, or an attack barrage that scramble/confuses the mental efforts of the victim, unless they can push back. It can also envelop a being, cutting them off from telepathy, or shielding them temporarily from outside influences.


His ¡§Arsenal¡¨,
a small handheld device a ¡§Compressed molecular storage device," it contains among other things:
-the Sword of St. George, it¡¦s a single handed, two sided sword with a unique alloy to the blade that causes the flesh of dragons to rot, doing extra damage. Also there is a switch on the handle that activates a force field with a five foot radius from around the blade plate that deflects flames coming to the front, but don't get caught from behind with it on, it's been know to trap the flames into a ball around you.

-Sling of David, especially affective against anything large than its user
-Sword of Truth, touching and/or cutting anyone with it will cause them to tell you the truth; it also works as a fairly good small sword.
-Sword of Eden (Divine Power of Creation) cast or cut
-Staff of Moses (parts the sea, controls bodies of water, especially effective against water based beings)
-Bow of Jonathan, accurate and especially effective against flying animals. In its message bearing mode it can travel up to 100 miles to deliver an encoded message to the named ¡§recipients¡¨
-War hammer of Deborah, especially effective against males, and evil types (and tent pegs ļ)
- several more of his signature staffs
and some other basic weaponry

Compressed Molecular Storage handheld device with three modes
1-Junk Drawer
with most common office products and anything else really found in my desk drawers, my home junk drawer. or the tool box and work areas of my garage. And other misc. technological stuff that I don¡¦t even understand, as I said he is really good with this stuff. This can also be used for storage of inanimate objects.

for live things, with a limited capacity of ten items, currently empty

3- Doctors Kit¨ device similar to those above

Food Provisions
He also has a food stuffs bag (a small leather pouch on his belt) that provides appropriate provisions for Whiteoak and whoever else he works with.


Magick

Empathic - can sense the ¡§presence¡¨ of an entity, and can sense its emotions, even share them or ¡§reinforce¡¨ them, but cannot read thought or communicate telepathically

Master Healer, physical and mental/spiritual

Creative uses of any and all and mixtures of elemental magick
air (wind, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc)
fire (flames, fusion, etc.)
water, for drinking, or rain, or flood, or hose-ing
earth, earth, rock,
spirit, hence spells
space/time fast time, but only as far as he can see, and cannot interact with things in normal time, can interact with other fast-timers. (other than that, with limited exceptions space/time is beyond him, but hole in space/time opens up to take him in when he is killed so he can be resurrected, after all, he is an ¡§immortal norn¡¨. It takes time to bring him back (and not until the end of the immediate battle), and he is kind of sick and weak upon first returning. He does not throw his life away for fun. (This is not for power playing, it just keeps him in the RPG in the event of total catastrophe)

Spiritual Energy Fields -- doesn't always have them on, must have stated their existance. They include, but not limited to, such things as:

Banishing Ritual and Limited Protection¨ a spell, creating a healthy clean space surrounded by a sort of force field around him mentally/spiritually. It would warn him of incoming spells, block low level ones, and keep evil beings from sensing him too strongly, without impeding his ability to cast spells out. It was roughly egg shaped and ten feet out from him.

"Harmony and Balance" He can form and/or release a spiritual gyroscopic bubble (can be added to his own field, or cast quite separate from his own field) which would attempt to envelope a being and aid it into quieting it thoughts and feelings, and allow it to stabilize any unhealthy, insane, angry, aggressive, evil, or similar mental states and find its own balance and harmony. It would be rather persistent about enveloping its intended being. (once completely obliterated a Dark Psycho clone)

Reflexive Protection Field Any magickal spell he sends out will affect him also, and any spell thrown at him will have its power cut in half (or to at least non-fatal levels) and the extra energy added to the bounce-back effect which sends a stronger spell back at the entity casting it.

Full Protection and Integrated Response -Analyses the psychic surroundings for influences, detects incoming mental/spiritual influences, and makes the owner aware of them, They can choose to accept or reject, (block is total, no over-ride and the sender is not aware of interception). Improved stealth non-detection capabilities. Alert and bounceback on attacking spells (default), or alert and stealth scatter (2nd choice. Requires “refreshing” and maintaining, as a “move” or it slowing weakens.

Spells and Orbs ¡V including, but not limited to, such things as

Calming and Affection¨ spell

"Geriopoverita" (Illusion.) He appears aged, and in brown tattered coarse woven clothing, giving the effect of old, and poor. He limps as he walked and his staff now appears as it once had, a plain white oak walking staff.

Love, Life, Justice, Caring, Compassion and Character orb¨ (Orbs can be delivered in a variety of delivery systems)
They positively experience vision of a world free from fear, healed of hurts and angers, balanced both personally and socially, where love, life, justice, caring, compassion and character reign supreme.

Divine Energy of Creation¨ Orb "Let there be light¨ This is the force that originally brought existence out of chaos at the time of creation. The effect being that anything hit with this would have what ever was good in it strengthened (even if it was just "honor among thieves" type stuff) and what ever was evil in it neutralized a bit, and nooo, it wouldn't be absorbed to make a bad thing stronger, it would just dissipate some part of its evilness and energy as the two forces cancel each other out, and it would not cause bad things to writhe in agony, the good and the evil would just counteract each other out of existence,

Harmony and Balance , see above as a weapon against evil

Long Dark Night of the Soul¨ a spiritual energy draining spell which causes loss of purpose and a great lethargy, Like a spiritual black hole it sucks energy out of a being so it just doesn¡¦t care about the things that seemed important to it before. In beings where good resides, this usually precedes a time of personal growth and a reordering of priorities into a new spiritual level, but in evil, insane and chaotic beings this next stage is not possible, and it just drains the heck out of them and leaves them with a strong feeling that they just want to go back to bed and pull the covers up over their heads and shout "go away¨ whenever their roommates knock on the door ( is that too personally revealing?)

“Irony and Aardvarks” spell, it causes the recipient to see the ironic humor in whatever situation they find themselves in and leads to occasional and ill timed fits of uncontrollable and convulsive laughter, coming out when the recipient uses his or her intentional will to begin a hostile action. (lasts two attack attempts)

“Caring Friendship” spell causes the recipient to feel fondness and affection for persons around him or her, but especially anyone who is attacking them, and tries to “settle this argument peacefully like the old friend we are”

"Shock and Awe Orb” which, when used, dumbfounds and confuses, (and renders incapable of attacking) persons within a 100 foot radius of is detonation (and it can be thrown or sling shot, or other wise delivered physically.) The cast-er can mentally select those who will or will not be affected. It lasts one post for magically adept opponents, [who should explain in their post that or how they detect its influence and that they can subsequently neutralize its affect] that is of course unless they have previously posted some sorts of mental shielding. It lasts two posts [one to be affected by it, and another one to be shocked and awed by something they perceive as shocking or awe-ful, and then they can resume on the third post.

Each ASF member will have available for retrieval 2 of these, Sanders and Whiteoak can create them or cast them as spells, but it takes a fair amount of energy and time to create new ones or do the proper mental rituals to cast the spell. The would have to allow a posting or two of game play to go by without significant involvement to allow for this inner activity, which they should indicate as preparation, but would not have to say just what they are doing until it is used.

Shadowveils char Sekhmet:

Name: Sekhmet (Hybrid Test Subject 313-K-GAMMA)

Age: 19

Species: Human-animal hybrid

Description: Sekhmet is a human spliced with DNA from a serval, Verreaux's Eagle and bat. She stands about 5-foot-9 (including her ears) and looks like a large, bipedal serval. She has a ridge of short, black and white feathers down her back, and longer flight feathers along her arms.

Abilities: Sekhmet has the best of the senses of her animal genes. She can move on two legs, or drop to all fours if she wishes to run faster. She is as flexible as a cat, with the claws and teeth of a serval, and is a lot stronger than her light build would suggest. Although she has retractable claws, her hands are still human-like enough to allow her to manipulate objects. Her bat genes also give her the ability to echolocate and hear at very high frequencies. She can jump more than three metres vertically, and the flight feathers along her arms allow her to glide. Due to her feline teeth and jaw, she speaks with a slight hiss and growl to her words.

Weapons: Sharp teeth and claws. She has recently acquired a GORON wrist console with laser cannon, beam sword and EMP cannon features.

History: Sekhmet was created as part of the ill-fated Project Hybrid. The aim of the Project was to create genetically-enhanced super soldiers by splicing animal DNA into human test subjects. Unfortunately for the scientists, these hybrids proved to be uncontrollable. A lapse in security allowed several to escape, and they soon set others loose. (See here for the full tale of the escape, as yet incomplete.)

Sekhmet was part of a sub-group within the Hybrid project, dubbed Project Sphinx. The intention was to create an elite team of feline-avian-bat hybrids, intended for special operations deep in enemy territory. They were designed to rely absolutely on their “siblings” (think Star Wars: Republic Commando…with fur).

Sekhmet’s four siblings, named Isis, Nephthys, Anubis and Osiris, were killed in an escape attempt gone wrong. Of the five, only Sekhmet was recaptured alive. The death of her comrades left her mentally shattered. Her memory from this point on is hazy, it seems likely the scientists of Project Hybrid were using memory-suppressing drugs to keep her in a controllable state. The memories of her former comrades and their deaths resurfaced during her escape from the laboratory, with almost disastrous consequences.

She remembers nothing of her life before she was changed, not even her own name. Whether this was deliberate or merely a side-effect of the hybridization process is unknown
