I've noticed there are a few moderator and master RPer positions being tossed around like candy, so I was wondering, how do you claim these titles for yourself?

I was wondering the same thing - what's required for these positions?

I think to get the master RPer title you just have to prove to DP that you're a good RPer.

(Oh that reminds me DP, I checked with the post office and the cheque really is in the mail, its just slow.) Laughing

Danikat is correct - it's the Sensei's job to alot titles. It's quite likely that only those who have already established themselves as masters of their craft will be recieving the RP Master title. Consider it a reward for all that hard work they've already done! The forum titles are given to people who (I belive, feel free to correct me on this one) were already active in that forum's RP section. And of course, the EC title is for EC members. No brainer there!

NO, actually, because I have so many boards, and I want to get as much of the community involved as possible, I'm opening up Moderatorship to anyone who volunteers via PM. Catch? I only want each person to moderate one board only.

That way, i figure I get a whole bunch of people interested in the success of these forums, and get a successfull Forum in no time.

As for the RP Mastership, that's reserved for those who have demonstrated a superior mastery of the Art of the RP. Like the winners of the RP Olympics will recieve.

Edit: I should note that the Training Dojo is tied to the Group "The Association of Student RP'ers", and as such, a bid to moderate that board is a bid to moderate that group. And moderatorship of that group is closed all but those who are members of the Master's Guild

I was wondering the same thing. Mainly because I just tried to post in Psychotopia City's 'The Arena' RP and got a 'access denied' message. How dare you deny me from fouling up your pristine city with my stupid and often highly dangerous (read: Explosive) antics! Razz

So who judges who's a master of rp? Can anybody say it wouldn't be a bias for friends and old rp friends?

I'm a somewhat experienced rper myself, and from what I've seen on many an occasion, is that it all depends who's playing what character and against/with who...

And it also depends on the strength of the storyline, and how long it actually lasts...

It's difficult in the least for one to judge who's a 'master' rper...

Right now I've limited to those who from past experience with myself has proven themselves to be expert at the art of the RP.

And that's a high standard (can't have everyone being a master, it would take away the prestige of the position).

In the future, I'm thinking of tying admittance to the RP Olympics, so that everyone who wins at that will be admitted into the Master's Guild.
