((This is a private RP for me, Zane and SnowLilly, though if you're interested in popping in to lend a hand/hoof/tentacle/appendage, feel free as long as you play nice. Both are in need of some very basic practice. ))

Embri landed in a wide open meadow, surrounded by forest pine trees. Nodding in satisfaction at the location, she settles down to await her students.

Embri snorts and rises, eyeing Zane. "Let's begin then."

"To start, some basics. Everything in double quotes, like this stuff I'm saying right now, is assumed to be what your character is saying verbally."

~Anything like this, in tildes "~", is thoughspeech.~ Embri speaks directly to Zane's mind.

~And something like this, in tildes and italics, is what I'm thinking privately.~

"When you want to do an action, either just write it out normally like this:" Embri stomps the ground.

"Or you can use stars, like this:"

*Embri ran around Zane several times.*

"One last thing. If you have to say stuff Out Of Character (OOC), then use Double Brackets."

She stalked over to Zane, rearing and snorting fire.

"Learn your place, vampire. I am your elder, if not your better. Let's begin. Why don't you describe yourself?"
