Hello NR. I do Have a question: Are robot characters allowed? Or is this rp world strictly dungeonsanddragons type stuff?

There aren't any rules as to what you can and can't have,as far as i know.

Gah,what i really need is a nice cheerful person like embri explaning this,not somebody who manages to kill several topics by simply posting in them.

I wouldn't say that Danikat, but to have such a character, you have to have a great deal of experience.

Anyways, welcome. I'm the Sensei, esteemed admin of all things black and starry. I'm also In college, so I can't stop in as much as I would like. But there are many mods and other admins I have appointed that can take your questions.

Oh, and have a monkey.

And why is whenever DP mentions university I think of Unseen Univeristy?

"Now, as for your question, all types of characters, weather normal, fantasy, science ficton, paranormal, or otherwise are welcome here in the Dojo. We have but a few golden rules, including:

Thou Shalt Be Respectful of Thy Fellow RPers,
Thou Shalt not Powerplay
Thou Shalt not bother The Sensei with unnecessary questions,
And Thou Shalt Use Thy Best Grammar and Spelling!

Oh, hm... what else, well if you need to bug someone, look for a Admin (me or addman is generally a good choice, as AL37 and TheSensei are usually REALLY busy) or a Mod. You can spot either by our belts.

"Admins have gold dragons, and Mods have silver dragons. Any of the other residents will usually be happy to help you out, as well."

Kiri's large bulk soars downward from above, cobalt scales glittering in the metaphoric light. Annoyed with the crappy entrance, a blue anthro feline with spikes trailing her spine hops down from the dragon's skull. She nods and waves towards the newest Psychotopian immigrant.

"Konnichiwa, Drlupinmario. I am Panther, shapeshifter extrordinare, and this obese thing of a dragon is Kiri."

Kiri glares and torches Panther comicly, chuckling evilly.

Just kidding. We prefer to call it 'protection money'. Anywho, while I'm here I might as well issue you an obligatory excrement-throwing Monkey-nator 2000. I warn you, it's a test model so be very careful with it.

I suppose I should introduce you to the various Dojo organizations:

The EC (recognisable by the rank uner people's usernames) is representative of chaos, destruction and mint-flavored tooth-paste. We specialize in insane plots and bad innuendo. We've been arround since before the CC crash, and we aren't going anywhere soon (although as of late our plots have been a bit more controversial than we'd have hoped).

The Guardians are dedicated to protecting the Dojo from evil, or so I've heard. They aren't as old or as big as the EC, but they're formidable opponents and they know it.

The Flock is run by Father Mac, and is in essence the dojo's priesthood. They tend to take a less active role on the forums. I don't really know much about them, so you'd have to ask a Flock member for that information.

The Corporation represents capitalism in it's purest form. They are dedicated to controlling the Dojo, hoping to destroy it in an attempt to gain more knowledge and capital in a frivolous attempt to... Well, control the universe I suppose. They're even smaller than the Guardians, and a lot nastier should you ever get it their way. With unlimited resources avaliable to them, they have by far some of the most advanced technology in the Dojo avaliable at their hands.

To join one of these organizations you need to prove yourself in the art of RPing. These groups are highly selective, so don't get ticked off if they reject you for some reason.

Of course, you don't need to join an RP organization. But they are pretty good status symbols Wink
