Blackstar Council.

As you can see, I've renamed the Mod's and Admin's group to "Blackstar Council". This is in anticipation of a change I'm recommending now, which I got the idea of from Embri..

Recently, I enacted some changes to the status quo. Before, when I've done such changes, they've gone off without a hitch. That was not the case this time. I honestly thought you guys wouldn't have a problem with these changes, but you did, and now they're undone.

But this leads us to a new frontier. People want more input before changes are made. As Head Admin, I have no choice but to bow to the will of Blackstar. So here is what I'm thinking.

We form a Council to help me decide if changes are worthy and good before I enact them. Nothing as formal as the Council Elite of the EC. What I'm thinking is this: This "Blackstar Council" is made up of all Mods and Admins. If I wish to make a large scale change, or if someone else has an idea larger than a day to day issue, they present it to this Council, and you guys vote. IF it passes, I set to work, if not, ti goes back to rework the issues out of it until it get's your approval or dies off.

Sooo....what do you think?

Aye, I cautiously agree... though I think you should put a veto in there somewhere, Au'Marui. In case something goes very wrong. And the council should recommend, not dictate. An open forum to work out changes would be good. The Meeting House is a perfect place - we can table new changes and vote on them, but I still think final decision MUST be made by one person. And that person is you.

If we do make a transition to a council, let's go slow, okay? No more whirlwind changes.... the poor horsie's head is spinning...

The Blackstar Council (can't we find a better name? People will think Blackstar's turning into an EC website) should also contain selected representatives from RP organizations such as The Corporation or The Flock. That way we won't end up pissing people off accidentally.

Yes that is how they run 3kul, but the differnce is we didn't have a name for it.

Sounds like a great idea to me.

Until very recently I've had no complaints about the way this place was run at all. Only thing I've ever had an issue with is how quickly the restrictions to the Wilds and other RP boards were put into place.

When I originally posted the idea I'd thought about it for maybe 30 seconds at most. I'd love to think I'm capable of comming up with great, fully formed plans instantly but its simply not true. So I'd assumed we would discuss and change the idea for a few days or so before anything actually happened and I was extremely suprised to come on the next day and find the idea being put into practice.
But that seems to be getting sorted out now.

This council idea should work well though. It gives everyone a chance to have a say in things. (Even if other members can't post in the Meeting House they can read it so they'll know an idea is being discussed and have a chance to contact someone with anything they want to say.)

But since I have the floor , I agree with the Blackstar Council idea (perhaps, we could be called the Blackstar Representative...? Could work...?) I'm all for it.... *Does a jig, imagining his thoughts and opinions might actually get heard and then runs around pretending to an areoplane...*

I have little authority outside of My Sanctury, however, I am pleased to offer my services to a Council that speaks for the members of the dojo if it helps give them an oppurtunity to express their opinions.
