Question about the new money system:
Why is it that some posts earn more than others?

Is it the length of the post, or where its posted that determines the value, or something else all together?

, is the Japenese currency. I figured it appropriate to the Dojo.

Some posts earn more than others because they are longer than others. You also get bonuses for responses to a post, so Danikat, I've earned you a few yen right now.

Right now, they're pretty useless. But soon I'll implement a system that will allow you to exchange these things for the creative works of other's on the board. I'll explain more of that system when it comes online, but I figured I'd give the people here a chance to earn some before the system comes online.

I've had this idea for a while (since the public forums), and the Dojo just made it feasable: How about we intergrate the money system with the various Inkwell websites. As in, if you have an account on the EC website and you make one here, you can choose to intergrate the two accounts and trade money and items between the two forums.

You could buy an EC exclusive item and offer it as a prize in a tournament in the Dojo, for example. Or you could have a store that's avaliable in both the EC and Dojo forums! We could go... Well, I'd say multi-board-al, but that's too sucky even for my tastes. But you get the picture.

If we intergrated it with the EC's public website people could even buy our stories. I think it'd be cool, anyway.

are the items also going to be for like, computer files such as if i had a book i had written on my compy and i could sell it for seemingly useless yen/cornielious life points/gerbils?

At the EC we already have a stores system in place. We offer goods and services to other members in exchange for cl (Cornelius Lives, the official currency of the EC). I myself offer a story writing service, where I write a short story on the topic of the buyer's choice. I also offer Personalised Lyrics (where I take the lyrics of a song and change them to suit the customer), and a hitman contract where I have to attack a member of Gameware.

Other people offer RP items, such as creation of a unique weapon, spirit charms, potions and the like. Some offer custom avatars and signature pictures. Just anything you can offer people really. It's a fun system and it'll be great once it get's going here too.

Ohh, this sounds like such fun! I'm not sure what I can sell... Hurrrm, writings, maybe, or sprites. I'm good at sprites and pictures!

Muhahahhaha...DP, the Dojo is looking great...I still have a copy of the original Blackstar if you want it...

And the other thing: I'm looking at other expansions besides the EC's 2 sites, and Blackstar.

Any ideas various Blackstar members?
