Individuals: Round 1 - Match 1: Churitsu v Naine

*Naine and Churitsu enter DP's field. At the moment it appears to be a wide white room with no precievable ceiling and four walls. DP's voice rings out*

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. FOR THE FIRST MATCH OF THE INDIVIDUALS TOURNAMENT, I GIVE YOU CHURITSU AND NAINE. WILL THE COMPETITOR'S SHAKE HANDS, THEN GO TO THEIR OWN CORNERS.

*Churitsu and Naine give the best handshake they can do considering Naine has no hands. They both then go to opposite corners of the field*

THE ENVIROMENT SELECTED FOR THIS MATCH IS THE ASTEROID BELT!

*As DP says his, floor reaches up around each competitor and surrounds them, forming a spacesuit (designed for each competitor), which quickly fills up with 30% Oxygen, 70% Nitrogen mixture. The spacesuits seperate from the ground as the gravity is lowered to zero, and the ground breaks up into small chunks, ranging in size to pebbles to oversized boulders. The inertia dampeners adjust themselves to give the illusion of traveling on an asteroid belt that is whizzing through space.*

Naine somehow attaches the spacesuit, again, despite having no hands, and runs a few diagnostics. The oxygen level was very reasonable. No more domino sequences of doom this time! The faint, satisified chugs and whirrs of the microreactor inspires more confidence in him, and he jumps, letting the lack of gravity take him up.

...Wait. Lack of gravity? These antigravity thrusters won't be too useful, then... or will they?

While Naine contemplates, Goldie runs as many diagnostics as he can process, to see what might turn the fight against them.

Goldie commandeers the speakers of the exobody for a single sentence.

"Show us what you've got!"

If Naine had hands, he'd be slapping them across his forehead right now. But he doesn't, and so clicks to express the same thing.

Churitsu was somewhat surprised that, of all things, they managed to even have a taur-spacesuit.

Of course, putting suits on is still awkward, and so she took a good bit of time to manage to have it on correctly.

She wielded Fenrir in a relaxed position, the scythe calm and placid.

"Show us what you've got!"
The dolphin said.

The wolf nodded, and jumped in the air.

Her skills at leaping were rather high, having four legs and all, but the lack of gravity in the arena enhanced her ability, letting her almost fly from rock to rock.

"Catch me if you can~"

Naine whistles amusedly to himself and throws himself downwards, adjusting his course by miniscule, calculated movements of the exobody's limbs - altering inertia just enough for him to collide with a moderately sized rock, bouncing him upwards.

He looks up and around. Damn! Where'd she go?!

After a few minutes of aimlessly floating, she managed to get between two rocks.

Attempting to aim, she pushed the rock under her. It shot off, leaving her floating under a boulder.

If her aim was right, the medium-sized rock would smash into Naine's back at a high speed.

Naine's proximity sensors starting wailing and ringing at an annoyingly high volume - directly inside Naine and Goldie's minds. Outside, nothing would be heard.

[ Heads up! ]

Naine manages to throw an arm to the side, spinning him around to face the rock, and he concentrates a barrage of metal shards into the rock.
Unfortunately, this has no effect other than slowing it down unnoticably, and Naine is sent flying backwards after it collides.

"krzt... Lucky shot!"

The wolftaur was leaping from rock to rock, attempting to concentrate on both where the rocks were and the damage her rival was taking.

"krzt... Lucky shot!"

The guardian leaped from another rock, so she was floating in front of Naine, drifting backwards from him.

"Do you want to see if that was just luck?

[ Intimidating, I think not. ]

Here, you have a go.

The internal exobody commands quickly rewire themselves to receive overriding input from Goldie, and Naine focuses on the incoming sensors.

Hrrm... try spinning with torque theta on axis Z, and then stop as soon as optical sensors report an instance of non-linear motion.

[ ...Is it that hard to just say "Spin around until you see her?" ]

Hey, welcome to my world. Now get moving! I know thought exchange is very fast but you're still wasting valuable time!

The exobody spins on its axis due to calculated swings of limbs, controlling intertia and facing Churitsu in a matter of seconds. A nearby, smaller rock drifts by, and the exobody's right arm lunges forward, jamming it into the gausser's exit compartment.

The gun is then fired rapidly, until the momentum of the combined metal shards sends it flying towards Churitsu at a high speed.

Churitsu's eyes went wide as Naine shot at her. Nowhere to jump.

She attempted to pull herself away, contorting her body out of the way.

It didn't work perfectly. The majority of her vitals were unharmed, but several of the shards had hit her tail, sending gray and black patches of fur everywhere.

The wolftaur cringed. Doing the same manuvers she was doing would be a lot harder now.
