Description: These creatures, if indeed such a low name could be used to describe them, are often victims of magic or science, where several ancient and otherwise dormant genes have been activated. This grants them abilities to change their bodies structure by will, but only into one other form, known as their Gargoyle form. Another gene that is activated causes is triggered by this transformation, and causes their skin (and anything in contact with it, such as clothing) to become coated in a stone like layer varying in length from a few millimeters to several centimeters in width. This allows them to take blows far beyond what normal humans can take, and makes most bladed weapons useless against them, but makes them highly susceptible to blunt weapons (slegde hammers especially).

They are also known to have extrordinary longevity, living centuries, and possibly even millenia, before subcoming to old age.

They are often more nobel and honor bound than normal humans, often seeking to do what is right in both their human and Gargoyle form. Because their condition is often genetic, it is often passed down in families once activated, causing Gargoyles often appear in clans.

Not many are known to exist today, except for a report of a rogue Gargoyle working for The Sensei and a small clan under the leadership of Father Mac. Sadly, most have been hunted down and murdered as "Monsters" by the humans they often seek to protect.
