In a dusty corner of the Amphitheatere, resting on a pedestal is a square, black book with metallic blue writing on the cover. It is entitled simply "Shadows and Light", and signed with a hoof print. How mysterious...

Between ~ 1999
March the Circle, round and round,
Turn the tables, lost and found.
Listen and learn, sight and sound,
Heart's fire burn, the doubts that hound.
Shadow and light, before my eyes,
Shifting and changing, form and size.
Dreams that haunt, tease and shift,
Spiraling down, to darkness and mist.
Beyond myself, lost in time,
These thoughts, are they truly mine?
There they dance, unyielding motion,
Dreamlets float, beyond my possession.
What am I after, what is my intention?
I am between non-sense and revelation.


Dragons and Dreams ~ 2001
Starry lights, of the sky,
On silver wings, a unicorn flies.
Planets round, a celestial dance,
On the startops, does she prance.

Flying fire, morning's light,
Calls me home, glittering sight.
Shadow wind, ruffles by,
How to find, where destinies lie.

Dragons and dreams,
Nothing's as it seems.
Here I sit pondering,
While my mind is wandering,
To places I've never been.

Shadowlands ~ 2000
I am the cat who walks the Shadowlands,
Between truth and deception, reality and imagination.
I am both but I am neither, all and yet none.
I follow no one's footsteps, no other's path.
I am the cat who pads in the Shadowlands.
First of the first, last of the last,
Many say they saw me, but none will ever know me,
For each moment I shift, a new facet to present.
I am the cat who runs in the Shadowlands.
Try to catch me, come if you will,
Many try, but all will fail.
I am the cat who vanishes in the Shadowlands.


Inner Strength ~ 2001
Sanctuary of mind and soul,
Revelry of ebb and flow.
Energy lies, bound within,
Release the ties, gentle Ki-rin.
Force unbridled, wild and free,
Tame it now, and carry me,
Away yet within, deeper to go,
Give the power a direction to know.
Release the force to find it's mark,
Bring the light to skies so dark.

When Bright Stars Sing ~ 2001
So many stars, so very high,
Shining lights of the sky.
Where did you come from,
And where will you go?
How did you come to be,
And what do you know?
I know so very little,
I am so very small,,
Everything seems simple,
When you've seen it all.
Perched on the edge of reality,
Looking beyond, to see what I can see,
Gazing and wondering,
About everything,
Sitting here and listening,
To the bright stars sing.

The Balance ~ 1997
To destroy the darkness
Is to destroy the bright,
For it is shadow
That gives meaning to the light.

One by One ~ 2002
One by one, we come,
One by one, we go.
One by one, we come,
One by one, to know.
One by one, we are,
One by one, we'll be,
One by one, we come,
One by one, to see.

Silliness ~ 2002
Blank page, staring back,
Where are the words?
The letters, they lack.
Where did they go?
Why won't they return?
I would love to know,
Why me they spurn.
I want to write
Quite badly, you see.
But all that comes to mind
Is poetry.
I must answer the questions,
It's necessary.
But when I try,
My thoughts turn airy.
So here I sit,
And here I sigh,
I cannot compose,
And I still wonder why!

The Legend of Titan's Forge ~ 2005
With the passage of a thousand turns of snow and sun,
The trinity shall be sundered and return from the sea.
When the last cycle ends as it was begun,
Rebirth and renewal must come to be.

From southern skies a blood moon rampant
Cloaked in its robe of darkest black.
The anvil, reawakened, gives forth its sparks ascendant
And the savage flames that race cannot be held back.
The great mountain shall reawaken
Its fury again in sway
The skies dark and then aflame,
The ground shaken,
Send forth those of noble heart to guide our way.

Fire meets fire to rekindle the forge of life,
The harbinger of destruction must at all costs be tamed,
Yet those who meet the challenge are rewarded with loss and strife,
Only a true bond may quench the titan of flame.

Fire child, flame touched, take your place in the hall of heroes.
May you one day find joy in your unity.
In the darkest hour of greatest woes,
Doubt shall give way to clarity.
