((This is a thread for the four Gaurdians to post and train in. Anyone else is allowed to make ooc/ic comments, and maybe provide a moving target, otherwise, please hold of posting....))

Jho'Lhak had been conversing with Mr. Hyameo as to the usage of the technology provided, as some of it, for all reasons, was alien to him. Entering a new part of the gaurdians facility, he'd activated the training room.

Nodding his appreciation of the size it could achieve, he activates a wall comm, signalling all team members to converge and meet in this training room.

Floating around, he awaits their arrival...

Goron and Shadow burst into the room.

"I saw comm signal and got here as soon as I could! What's going on?"

Goron took a moment to look around the room, and noted it was a training room. Goron was not a total idiot, and was able to deduce that this might be for the RP Olympics ((Which we have limited time to train for so let's get on it!)).

"Oh... I suppose this is training for the Olympics is it not?" Goron said to Jho'Lhak, "You'd better sit this out Shadow, I don't think non team members are supposed to participate."

The grendel grumbled something in Gribble and then lumbered over to sit by the door.

((Sekhmet is unarmed, perhaps someone could lend her a gun? Goron's store is not stocked yet, else I would get something there.))

Sekhmet enters the room and takes a look at the other Olympians. "You wissh to train?" She stretches out on all fours, then jumps back to her feet, watching Jho'Lhak. Small, flying creatures often brught her feline instincts to the surface.

Whiteoak enters the room and deduces the purpose of the gathering.

"Sorry to keep you waiting"

Slightly off to the side, he begins one of his staff form katas to loosen up and uses the time mentally to bring up a Harmony and Balance Field and a Total Protection and Integrated Response Field. With each "strike" move in the kata he shoots multicolored sparks, just to show off a little.

without losing concentration, he inquires of the group"

*I have a set of earbud style 2-way communications devices, sort of like walkie talkies ((they 're in my profile and have been for a while, I think their use would be legitimate.)) do you folks want to use them? I am so psyched for this. I think we've got a fairly strong and well rounded team ((and fairly good when it comes to action/description posting too)) Well Fearless Leader (he says, now addressing Jho'Lhak,) how should we best prepare and how do we best acquaint each other with our abilities and our weaknesses?"

((Veil, I don't have any guns, but if you check my profile you could borrow something, sling, sword, bow and arrow, one big nasty anti-dragon sword, one of my staffs??))

Jho'Lhak looks around each of the team members, considering each of them. He had not learnt of their skills, balance or abilities as of yet, since they were still becoming aqainted.

Turning to Whiteoak, "I know of similar devices. We should keep ourselves ready for all possibilities. Anything could happen in the course of events.

Before we begin, I would like to see a demonstration of defensive and offensive skills or abilities. It would be easier to demonstrate against a general target, so if you could please entertain my request..."

He floats up towards the control panel again, and using a program he had previously installed, following the manuals supplied by Mr Hyameo, he types in a few digits. The room flickers before the holograph generators kick in, coupled with localised forcefields around the images, giving them a basic form.

There are eight in total, two for each, one offensive, one defensive, set to a medium level of skill for all to participate. Jho'Lhak takes the lead, and lifting up his staff, and aiming towards one of the defensive figures, he charges up an average sized ball of raw Magick, and unleashes it towards it.

As it collides, the image fizzles and disapates. Jho'Lhak lowers his staff, and holds it to his side. "This will help us deside our best tactical positions. In your own time..."

((Not sure any of that would work, Shine. I guess I'll just stick to clawing people's faces off.))

Sehmet listens to Whiteoak's description of the communicators. "That may be usseful, but I doubt they will fit me", she says, gesturing to her pointed ears.

Unsheathing her claws for extra grip, she scrambles up one wall like a cat climbing a tree. Leaping off, she spreads her feathered arms and glides across the room. "I can climb, and glide." Suddenly pulling in her feathers, she drops onto one of the defensive figures and delivers a killing bite to the head.

Vaulting off the fallen figure she begins to circle an offensive target, showing off her agility as she ducks and weaves around its attacks. Lunging beneath its guard, she bites down on the figure's wrist and slashes her claws across its middle in a disemboweling motion.

"I am fasster than any human, and skilled at closse combat." She bares her teeth in a feline grin. "A rranged weapon is of little usse if your opponent iss too fasst to hit."

Goron looked causually at the hologram, then at Jho'Lhak.

"I'm more of a balanced fighter. Not particularly weak in any style of fighting, but not incredibly strong either," he explained, "I keep a vast amount of weaponary at my disposal, and I would have it for sale, but the gods are slacking off again..." Razz

"My console on my wrist provides me with a laser cannon, a sheild generator, a retractable beam sword, and an EMP cannon. I'm perfectly capable of surviving with my more primitive weapons, so it's possible that Sekhmet could use it."

Goron drew three shuriken and threw them in a spread-fire pattern. Before they even hit their targets Goron launched himself after them and cut the center target in half with his katana. The center shuriken passed right through the hologram's head.

((BTW Shaon's spilling EC secrets, and telling me that they bought out the charms store's stock... Not something to worry about, but do keep it in mind.))

Whiteoak took up a defensive stance with his staff, but before advancing, pushed a couple of buttons on the control panel in its center.

He then moved in on the attacking image, it began with a right sword strike, which Whiteoak parried deftly. They continued a fairly mid-skill level, brief spar, finishing when Whiteoak cleverly moved inside a strike and delivered a slice to the hologram’s jugular vein with the staff’s blade tip. Being just an image, though, it remained standing, ready to continue. Whiteoak, bowed and withdrew.

However, he then held out his staff and pushed another set of buttons and a holographic image of Whiteoak appeared and advanced upon the attacking image and the pair of holograms repeated the earlier spar.

He then changed some frequency settings and his own image grew to match the size of the attacker. Whiteoak’s image was now mimicking Whiteoak’s movements in real time, and he superimposed his own body’s image over that of the attacker’s and the two wavelength frequencies canceled each other out and both images disappeared.

“I win!” the real Whiteoak said with a smile and a wink.

He then turned to the defensive image, and attacked it with his staff. Whiteoak is a master of his weapon and his skill was exemplary. He was fast, he was deceptive, and he was agile. He struck and blocked, he jumped and ducked, twirling and sweeping his leg, but he pulled every one of his strikes, showing that he could have completed the strike, but not wanting to finish the fight. He then withdrew quickly and twirled his staff over his back into its carrying strap. He clapped his hands together, and his face became oddly blank as he centered into a zen like state of concentration. From his right hand, a burst of flame shot out at his opponent, from his left emerged a stream of water, he merged them into a blast of steam, that would have fatally scalded a mortal opponent. He dropped his hands and was visibly sweating and showing signs of exhaustion. He began to walk away, but paused and turned again to face the defender. With his right hand he started a breeze, which he twirled into a dust devil. He kept it up and intensified it, gaining momentum until it was a ten foot sized mimi-tornado, directing it towards the hologram. With his left hand he consolidated small obsidian shards into the center of the tornado as it reached the image. He could now relax a bit and just keep steering the tornado around and through the image of his opponent, while dematerializing any rock shards which flew out of the cyclone. His breathing was coming easier now, but he was still sweating a bit. This was the fun part for Whiteoak. He clapped his hands and the tempest collapsed into a pile of obsidian shards, which themselves disappeared.

He turned to the others, face looking innocent and insecure; seeking their approval and affirmation. However, his mind was attempting to slide its way into Jho'Lhak’s, sharing empathically with him feelings of mutual respect as prelude to a further subversion of his true feelings, encouraging Jho'Lhak to feel a bit awestruck and favorably impressed. Whiteoak smiled broadly at the diminutive mage.

Whiteoak turned to Sekhmet and said

"What do you think? I was a little slow getting the cyclone thing up to speed, but in the end it came together passilby, no? and by the way, my best friend is a lion, and with just a little bit of sponge foam the communicator fits nicely. There is also a music file setting, solo or shared, we have lots of fun with them, the right music can be quite motivating in a fight."

Forte walks in as Forte, to the Guardians, he's the God of Destruction, as sometimes changes forms into Kassato to throw off people, as Kassato, no one, in no way, can identify him as the God of Destruction. He leans over the railing and looks at the team.

"Hey, you guys need any stronger targets?"

Forte smirks as he rests the Blade of Destruction on his shoulder.

Sacriel walked in grinning, her light hair bouncing around her face like a glowing halo. Her bow was slung over her shoulder, and her sword secured at her side emitting calming essence over everyone in the room. "Hey! Sorry I'm late, I only just joined." She said enthusiastically, white teeth shining as she grinned. "Well, if we're training, I don't want my hair in the way!" She said, pulling a white hair bobbin off her wrist and quickly securing her hair. "Oh, wait..." She said, a sad look coming across her face. "Is this just for the Olympic team? I was really hoping to get some training in..." Her eyes showing disappointment. Looking around, they looked more watery then they should be, as if she'd been replaced by a puppy looking for something. Clasping her hands behind her back, she looked down at her feet.

Jho'Lhak taps a space between the nails embedded in his head, shaking his head side to side at Whiteoak, "I am no telepath, but I know when someone is attempting to influence my thoughts. It's something I have experienced time and time again."

Turing to look at Forte, Jho'Lhak may not have known his real identity, but he knew he was no mere mortal, but respected his privacy, as deceptful as it was.

"I would welcome a challenge. Perhaps it may inspire the team as it maybe." The blue hued sparks around his mouth flicker, as his native language is translated into the Earthen language they all appear to speak.

He watches as Sacriel enters the training room, unsure of how to proceed, he was one for set standards, and ruling, but she may prove useful as a real opponant, even if she is a member of the Gaurdians, "You may train, but against one of the olympic team members."

He turns to Sekhmet, "I fear you may require the most of our protection, as it appears that should anyone have abilities similar to Whiteoaks or mine, you may be at most risk. But, you may also provide amble distraction whilst Whiteoak and I provide offensive and defensive spells."

Turning back to Whiteoak, "As communicators, I feel the, ear pieces would be useful, but I would prefer not to be distracted by music, it is, too easy to become distracted, and miss an important message. However, your skills are impressive, for magick from this area of space, although, you appear to tire easily, here, this may provide help in an emergency."

He pulls out what appears to be a small glowing orb of some sort, "This is a Magick Crystal, which grow in abundance in spacial region from which I hail, crack it open when you tire, and it will provide you with additional energy."

He finally turns back to Goron, "A man of many talents. You would be useful in offensive, and distracting positions. I would like to see some further skills from the entire team, but first, I have a challenger...."

Floating up to eye level height, him only being 15 inches in height, he stares Kassato in the eyes, his narrowed. He holds his staff to one side, a hand palm up towards Kassato, "When you are ready....."

((Righto... more detail... Although, short and sweet seems to be a common problem here.))

"Oh, joy a real opponent," Goron said, rolling his eyes, "I'll take you on Sacriel if you'll wait a second..."

Goron set about gathering up his shuriken. He walked over to the wall behind the holograms. Two of the shuriken had pierced the metal and were sticking straight in. The third's impact crater showed where it had hit, but the shuriken itself had plummeted to the floor.

"Damn," Goron mumbled to himself, "My throw wasn't hard enough. I'll have to work on that."

Goron wheeled about to face Sacriel. His face was set in an angry look, but softened when he saw her. The watery eyes looked as though she was about to cry. Who could be mad at such a face? Goron straightened up and shook it off.

~This is combat, Goron. You can't pay attention to your emotions, lest you become distracted.~

"You're move, Sacriel," he said with a grin as he walked into the center of the room.

((Was that better? Worse? No change?))

Whiteoak outloads four of the communicator devices and begins to distribute them. He hands one to Goron, and then to Jho'Lhak, he talks with him briefly:

"I was not actually trying to influence your opinion of me, esteemed mage, I was presuming you would be able to detect the intrusion. I could have just told you, but I though showing you was more effective. I am not able to speak telepathically, but I am an accomplished empath, and several of my spells have the ability to affect the moral or mood of another. I can demoralize an opponent or encourage an ally, although I don't generally mess with the minds of my comrads. And, thank you, I would gratefully accept the magic crystal orb." he says, taaking th4 gift.

He offers to fit the communicator into the feline's ear. Addressing them all,

"I've preset the frequency, but you can control the volume by biting down hard with your back teeth on the side of the earbud. there are three volume settings, and the fourth bite shuts it off. Biting as an attack does not affect it, you have to have an empty mouth, and a full jaw clampdown. It generally does not go off unless you are doing it intentionally."

He offers to fit Sekhmet, if she is receptive...

*Ahem* She.

My posts tend to be compact. I will be able to add more detail when I have a clearer picture of the environment and my opponents, so I should be better in the arena.))

Sekhmet accepts Whiteoak's offer of the communicator. "Do not concern yousself overmuch. I was designed to fight greatly outnumbered, and escape any situation. Although it iss true I am vulnerable in an open sspace, if my opponents have greater weaponss."

Jho'Lhak and Whiteoak's tactics did not greatly surprise her. Although magic was unknown on Sekhmet's homeworld, 25th century technology could achieve many of the same effects.

"Oh, you won't be fighting me, but him." *creates a Phantom of himself, weaker in ability, which he is not able to use Forte's vectors*

Phantom Forte: *pulls out a staff/spear that looks like the Twilight Crucifix of Kassato* "En garde!"

Forte: "You should know, with vectors, I'm just plain dangerous." *Pounds the floor with his vectors and jumps back onto the balcony, a large hand-shaped crater lies where the vectors struck to gave him a long jump, which Forte would've done easily anyways.*

Phantom Forte: Ah!! *this shadow entity dashes towards Jho'Lhak and strikes him with the Crucifix, releasing a great surge of energy of an element not idendified...*
