a wolvgal, female, age seventeen.


Oragins:
the name Wolvgal comes from an amalgamation of the names "wolvine" and "rangal".

Wolvines are electric type canines, able to use vast stores of power derived from receiving magical attacks and lightning. they are more commonly known as "wherewolves" due to the ability to use the magical energy in moonlight to change forms. they are rarely sentient.

Rengals where a very secretive race, once living in the Vale of the Moon in Japan. they had the forms of large eagles with the ability to change their colours at will and automaticly depending on the situation. towards the end of their civilisation they had perfected these skills to the point of being able to dissappear compleatly, even while moving. they possesed limeted powers of the mind but strong telekenisis was ubiquitous and essential to their advancement, due to their lack of hands.
their technology was extreamly advanced, including space travel and the beginings of warp technology.

during testing of their new warp technology large quantities of radiation where released and the population was decimated. though few actualy died all became infertile and the civilisation went into rapid decline. at this point the local Wolvine population came to their aid, due to the magical properties of the Vale of the Moon the large majoroty of the packs where sentient, though they did not have th

the Wolvines draw a harsh destinction between sentient and non sentient, as there is a switch which must be activated by certain conditions at birth which alows the animal to either become a she or he or an it. non sentients are treated well but not as people, as animals. this was a key factor in the continued survival of the rengal race's knowledge, even though the wolvegals where not suficiently mentaly advanced to learn the knowledge themselves. the pack leaders agreed to alow the Rengal scientists to try and find a way to save their people using wolvine animals.

the scientists developed a way to combine the genetics of the two races, combining the inteligence and posative attributes of the Rengals with the imense physical and magical power of the Wolvines. by the time succes was in sight volanteer sentient Wolvines where involved, which speeded up the process greatly.

eventualy, to much celebration the first Wolvgal, Anau, was born, fully functional, highly intelegent and very powerful. by the age of three she had absorbed all the teachings of the Rengals and was extreamly accomplished in Wolvine techniques.

when Anau reached her teens the Rengal population had halved but over eighty wolvgals had been born. the children where adopted by wolvine and Rengal pairs so that they may learn from each guardian.

when the last Rengal died Anau was 27 and was leading the Wolvgal pack. Wolvine packs are generaly made up of five or six sentient males and females and up to twelve cubs and non sentients. but the Wolvgal pack was imense, made up of 94 fully grown and skilled adults and a further 26 cubs under the age of 16.

the pack structure differed significantly from that of the wolvines, in place of a alpha pair as in wolvines there was a council of sixteen of the most inteligent and mature wolvgal. fourteen council membes have charge of seven other pack members, these groups are named squads. each squad has a designation, tech, medic, worker, fighter.

out of the fourteen suqads one is medic, one is tech, three are fighter and nine are worker. the remaining two council members are guardians and have responsability for thirteen cubs each. they are aided by two teams of lady wolvines, who take out teams of three older cubs to train in self defence, wilderness survival and in no-jitsu techniques.

no-jitsu is the name given by the wolvgals to their wovine abilities. genintsu refers to the abilities decended from the Rengal. the two guardian councilors teach them how to use their wings and minds at an earlyer age, ushaly begining at four.

at the age of sixteen cubs take an exam to determine which proffesion they would be most happy in. cubs with power and little sublty often enjoy working the land, mines and farms and buildings and dams. fast, sly, quiet cubs are most suited to the defence squads and cubs with power and guts go into the offence fighting squad. ones with skill at manipulation and quick wits enjoy the peace of the tech labs. and finaly ones with powerful minds and skilled EM field manipulation go into the medic squand.

as time wore on in the Vale the pack grew and more squads appeared, specialists in mining, archetecture, and farming arose. Anau soon realised this and appointed the specialists as squad leaders. as the number of squads increased the council grew, eventualy there where too many to make single decisions on anything. so Anau set up the high council, comprised of reprisentatives from each sector of their society, a fighter, a builder, a worker, a medic, and a guardian.

by then Anau was old, she had survived to see her friends grandchildren grow up. she passed the mantle of leadership on to her most wise friend and settled down in the village, letting the pollatics and manuvering of their fast growing country to the young and bouyant.

Abilities:

EM manipulation: No-jitsu. they can create and manipulate electromagnetic radiations and fields. they genraly have a range of one and a third miles, though this can be more and increases with age and training. uses for this include mining and building as rocks are relativly easy to manipulate with this technique. in fighting huge shocks can be created, either in an opponents body or externaly if this is not possable. these shocks can cause huge internal damage.

absorbtion: No-jitsu. they can absorb magical, electrical and magnetic radiation. this also includes nuclear radiation to some degree. the properties of moon light make it especialy powerful and wolvgals are srtonger around full moon. a direct hit from a magical weapon or balst can be absorbed but too much can cause chakra burns, i.e. burning of the soul, rendering the sufferer unable to use no-jitsu thechniques for varyable lengths of time.

telekenisis: Genintsu. the ability to move objects with strength of mind. it is limeted to items with less mass than the user, if used on an object with more mass than the user then the object will not move, the wolvgar will instead. this effect can be used to aid speed and flying.

Chunnin: Genintsu. the ability to directly access the mind of another advanced life form. can be used to talk over large distances with another Chunnin user or as a weapon. forceful entry into anothers mind can cause sever regresion into a child like state or death, if the user wants that, this is the only use in combat if your opponent is aware of you mind altering skills. once a wolvgal is inside your head, if he or she is unnoticed, they can lay remote activation mines which, depending on the effect desired can cause regresion, loss of reasoning or braindeath. this technique can also be used as a tool of healing, experienced wolvgal healers can cure schitsophrenia, paranoia and numerous other conditions.

camoflage: Genintsu. the ability to perfectly match their surroundings. this uses small amounts of magical energy wich is grnerated within the body and there fore does not rely on the absorbtion no-jitsu for its power.

flight: physical ability. isnt it obvious?

Weapons:

Wolvgals have long muzzles filled with very sharp teeth and paws armed with claws. fighting squads are equiped with paw guards with two inch long blades arching over the front of the claws, some use helmets with sharp backwards pointing blades on the top to ram enimies, ushaly as a disembowling manouver.[/u]
