Suggestion: Board For Race Descriptions

I suppose this is a step up from Character descriptions, and I got the idea after seeing Shaon create a character of the same race as 3kul's Holloweyes and LS (the name of the race eludes me for the moment, Paraseech?).

Basically, if people create a new race of creatures for use with their characters, then if they wanted, they could post up a Race Description. This gives some general idea of the races appearance, abilities, culture, home country/planet/dimension, and other important information.

If people post up their race descriptions for public viewing, this means that new members may choose to become one of these races, or existing members can create characters based on that race.

Of course, a lot of people's characters may not have a particular race as such (like mine), so they are one of a kind, and shouldn't post Race Descriptions, but for those who would like to see other people using their race ideas, then it'd be a fun, informative archive and a useful resource for character creation.

You really thing we need an entire board for that? There aren't too many new races, and the o nes that are new could easily go in the Ampitheater.

Hey, it's just a suggestion. I assumed the Amphitheatre was for stories anyway. And if we have a section for it, then I'm sure people will post more races up. I might post a few ideas up there myself, even if I never intend to use them myself, but others might.

The ampitheatre doesn't have to be stories. It can be stuff you thought was a good idea, or anything!

Paraseech is slang for the clan that they're a member of, although now that I think of it, I guess it is kind of race... dammit, I am not changing all of the posts in which I've said Parasitian is the race. So that I don't have to, I am stating once and for all that Parasitian is the species, Paraseech is a race (there are others).

I too, believe a board of Races would be beneficial. (Pictures would be even better, if anyone's interested in illustrating.)

At the very least, it might cut down on some of the duplication in character descriptions if they get standardized, a bit.

Hey cool, that sounds like a good idea. I can post Syllak, Tala, Endorphine and Kheesth's races... and possibly the mutant 'race' too

Will leave pernese fire lizards for Danikat though, as she has one too Razz
