Ancient Dominion [RP]

A being in an old, tattered burlap robe started stepping up across the steep rocks of the mountains, approaching an old fortress that had been abandoned in ages past. A crude stone blade of tremendous size sat strapped to his back. The man's face was pale and rough, and he had scabs over his hands. There was something in his eyes that spoke of frenzied madness.

"HeRe. It's hEre Isn't iT? ThaT'S whAT mY dReamS sAy. mY dReamS aRe AlWAys riGHT. iT's hEre. heRe. herE." The man mumbled in a harsh voice of varied volumes. "AlSo AlliTERAtion." He added, putting his first two fingers in his mouth. He then continued walking, mumbling unintelligibly with the fingers in his mouth.

The sky twinkled with stars, but soon they would be covered with the clouds of a snow storm. The winds howled.

It didn't take long for the man to reach the front doorway of the fortress. "Knock knock!" He called, rapping it smartly with his knuckles.

Nobody responded.

"Guess they fired the butler." He commented to himself, and then pulled the door open.

[rosebarks]

Inside there was a girl with long, flowing, blonde hair with soft streaks of darker blonde in it. Her dress a pure green and on her back were white wings with a tint of green to them from each feather being tipped in a green colour. Her body turned slowly, hearing the door open. "Oh..Hello" The girl said her hand on the wall. She seemed to be exploring this grand castle that was fit for many people.

"Who are you?" The girl asked her green eyes curious and yet ontop her head, the oddest sight, cat ears twitched as if listening to every thing that was around her. Her skin a soft peach colour, fair and yet soft by the looks of it, her nails painted in a sparkling green. She was obiviously not a stranger from this place. It was, after all, her second or third visit to such a castle or it would have appeared so as she had a large bag and a few smaller ones in a pile near her on the floor.

[Tav]

"I aM Arakasnas, tHe grEaT mAgE!" He said, spreading his arms wide. "MinD ShoWinG mE tO The MAgiC alTaR?" He asked, his eyes darting around.

[rosebarks]

"The magic Altar....It's not easy to get to and it looks to me as if you're a tad ill prepared to be dungeon delving.. What do you want with the Altar?" The girl asked him the ears seeming to move to his different tones.

[Tav]

"The RItual." He said, his head tilting oddly to the side. "MY dReaMs TolD mE aboUT iT."

He took a few steps closer. "WhERe?" He asked again.

[rosebarks]

The Ritual" The girl said as she walked slowly over towards him. "I can lead you there..however I will have no part in this ritual. Is that understood?" She asked him her eyes watching him.

[Tav]

He nodded frantically. "ShoW mE tHe WaY." He said, his left arm twitching. He didn't seem to notice.

[rosebarks]

The girl however did, however, she said nothing about it. "I am Lily." She stated simply as they walked the drawings on the walls telling much of what this place held but all in an ancient language.

[Aequor]

"Lily, Lily, flower Lily, Lily of the valley." came a sing-song voice. Khukh had watched the curious two for some time now. This 'Ritual' seemed...interesting, and Khukh was bored at the moment. He didn't know this world, and there was no better way to discover a world than to speak with, fight with or sing with its inhabitants. Stepping forward out of the shadows, he cast off his darkness,

"Or was it lilac of the valley? I can never remember plants." he said, scratching his chin. "Allow me to introduce myself, I am Khukh. Now lead the way, this Ritual promises to be fun and interesting for us all, no? I do so hope it's interesting to watch."

[Tav]

"You." The man said in a clear voice, looking at Khukh. "You are. . .familiar, somehow."

Then he shrugged, and his voice went back to normal. "YoU hEaRd WhAt hE saiD. LEAd oN!"

[rosebarks]

Lily watched the two. "It's Lily of the Valley...But I'm just Lily" She stated with a kind tone to her voice as she walked on and was careful where she was walking. "I suggest you both be careful" She told them.

As they walked, they could feel a soft, cold breeze that blew from the inside. The air gave off an ominous feeling to it. Lily had a bad feeling about what the three of them were getting into but at the same time she knew that she could handle it somehow.

[Tav]

"HoW fAr AwaAy I- I- IS iT?" He asked, stuttering slightly. He seemed less stable than before.

[rosebarks]

"It is not far now" She said as she watched him carefully as she suddenly came up to an ordinate wooden door with many symbols on it. As she sighed. "This is the entrance." She told the person as she watched what he was going to do.

[Aequor]

Familiar, eh? That's very interesting... Khukh thought as he followed Lily and Arakasnas. The girl stopped in front of wooden door. Many symbols had been carved into it. Khukh smiled, clicking his cane onto the ground and turning to Arakasnas,

"I believe it's up to you now, my good fellow, to perform your ritual." he smiled. I wonder what it is. And what's wrong with him? His voice went clear when he said I was familiar... Oh! This is simply fabulously engrossing! What will the Ritual be? The usual demonic possession? Superpowering? Divine spell? Ah, this will be interesting...

[Tav]

He stumbled into the door, laughing to himself. He opened said door, and stepped up to the altar.

Said altar was circular, with gems and arcane runes intricately inscribed over it. It glowed with an unearthly power.

The man started laughing, louder and louder. He drew the great stone sword off of his back, and raised it into the air.

Smash.

The altar was shattered, cracked. black tendrils started oozing from said crack. The man was still laughing as he was pulled in. He glanced at Lily, and something seemed to pass from him to her. Then he started screaming, and was pulled into the altar by the black tendrils.

They then reached out towards Khukh and Lily, attempting to do the same as they had done to the madman.
