Hmm...I guess to start things off, allow me to introduce myself.
I am Leonardo Black. I stand proudly at 6'2", and burden the Earth 'neath my feet with around 190lbs.
I don't RP much, but I've been part of a few SMALL groups on various websites for various amount of times, probably adding up to 3 hours, so I have some partial experience.
There's not a whole lot to say about me, other than I heard about this from a friend (can't exactly tell you his user....I can't remember it *pokes self*) and I want to RP more than I usually do.
Well, I hope I can be as much of a decent RPer as I am a burden.
Hope to meet some great ppl. *slips on shades and walks off in a casual matter*
*quickly turns back* btw, I'll have a more "physical" look to myself after I spent a few hours with a quill, black ink, and parchment. Expect it soon.

The most important part of role playing is the development of a character. This is required before you participate in most role plays. You can look at examples of characters in our Hall of Records. Once you have a character, you can post your profile in there.

A new feature to the Dojo is the addition of items. Most items have a way to be synthed, or combined, with other items to form usable items. Usable items will be listed in a pull down menu when you create a post, enabling you to specify which item you are using, who is using it, and what their target is. Usable items have a hit % and a break %. If you're lucky, your item use will suceed, if not, it will miss. Either way, there is a chance that your item will break and become unusable. See our wiki article on Items for more information.
Several of the boards are non-RPing boards. Boards like Announcements, General Chat, and Bugs and Features are examples of non-RPing boards. Be sure to explore these too.
We only have a few rules:
1. Respect other people, and treat them as you wish to be treated.
2. Do not argue with the Admins and Mods. They have plenty of work already. If you really have a beef with something, discussing it in a logical and calm manner will get you miles farther than whining.
3. No Powerplaying. This means forcing actions on other people. For more information on Powerplaying and how to avoid it, please refer to "Powerplaying" on our wiki.
If you have any questions during your stay here, you may ask one of the administrators or moderators. You can recognize us by our belts: Gold Dragons on the belt of an Admin, Silver on the belt of a mod.
Should you be unable to contact an Admin or you want your answer quickly, you can always refer to the Blackstar Wiki.
Please also be advised that Blackstar is considered highly addictive and may result in symptoms of insomnia, crankiness, longing for insanity, and general RP itch if you discontinue use. |

Greetings, saulatoins and various other ways of saying hello that I can be bothered to type!
Welcome to Blackstar, Leon, and listen to Kaz's warning. You do NOT want sanity leaking out your ear. It stains so badly that you can replace the wall and the stain will still be there.
....Don't ask how I know about this, I just do.

*slides off shades, pulls out a small funnel from pocket, and places it over right ear. Walks over to a vacant and highly stained skull-container. Tilts head to the right and waits while a seemingly endless stream of sanity spills into container.*
Hmmm...
*Walks over to another, slightly less stained skull container, and fills that one up as well. Places both containers next to each other. Pockets funnel*
That's better...
Now, to finish off...*slips shades back on*...what Kaz started.
*quickly pulls out an electric guitar of bright faded ash, and begins to finish off awesome, and familiar guitar riff*
