Purr (Poem Submission)

Sprawled across a black leather chair
A cat, with soft black fur
When my hand ran through her hair
She emitted a blissful, soft, pleasure purr

Her muscles relaxed, tail slightly twitching
She purrs more frequently and faster
Like an old woman in her knitting
Increasing with her heartbeat, a master

The black cat slowly gazes up at me
With her complex lime green eyes
As if to say “Oh, you know how to please me”
“Don’t stop, until the fire in my heart dies”

The purrs weaken, the heartbeat astray
Her whiskers slowly relax, and eyelids slowly drops
Now cradled in my arms, in an ever slow sway
As a final breathy sigh creeps unto my heart, my hand suddenly stops
