Settlement in the wilds! Who wants to go?

Lord Speeder lay back. "This is the life. Me, nature, all these chances."

He sat back, and decided that the Corp. was mad. Sure, a small settlement would'nt be all that bad, but the Corp. was out of control.

In order to keep the Corp. away, he decided to make a small settlement to defend the wilds. It would be worth the effort...

(You would start with huts and that sort of thing. I would'nt want to overdo it. You would have to hunt and collect water, and chop wood.)

HollowEyes had heard rumours of The Corporation, but had yet to encounter any member of it. He didn't really hate humans all that much, as he'd only encountered a few of them in his entire life. Regardless, given his presense here, he felt somewhat obliged towards DP, or Sensei Psycho as he preferred to call himself now, to help defend his 'Dojo' of sorts.

Whilst Little Sister didn't quite feel the same way, HollowEyes had managed to successfully bribe her into helping him out. They both approached a large tree, and HollowEyes tapped a Devouring Locust charm onto it. Little Sister piles up a bunch of dead birds next to it, which she'd caught earlier, to help convince the spirit to do a specific task rather than it's usual one. Within minutes, the tree was hollowed out in several areas, which could be considered as rooms.

HollowEyes stuck the used charm to the pile of dead birds and they began to break apart - as if they were being eaten by hundreds of invisible mouths. ~Well, we've established a suitable place to store food and other necessities, what now?~ "I guess now would be the time to fill it up... you can continue to hunt birds as you were before, I'll go get cut some trees down to help others get started." ~Suit yourself...~ Little Sister's hair slowly grew out as HollowEyes wandered off, creeping up the surrounding trees to capture her unsuspecting prey.

((It feels so weird using their abilities for reasons other than combat, but both HE and LS seem pretty good at this sort of thing. Razz

The hollowed-out tree can be used as a storage area by anyone, I figured something that appeared natural would be a good start, since it wouldn't look too out of place.))

Kumo Jinrui would've lived in a cave, but when he entered the area known for its caverns, he felt a terrible urge to leave.

So he wandered the Dojo, eventually coming upon the settlement within the Wilds.

Then he saw a familiar figure.

"Little Sister! Haven't seen you since I took that vacation to that island!"

BOING! BOING! BOING!

A Kihunter hopped up to the area. Seeing humans there, she decided to be cautious. Some humans killed Kihunters that got too close. She herself didn't trust humans that much. Any of them. Regardless, she decided to have a closer look. She couldn't fly, as her wing had a huge hole in it from a gunshot. A human had seen her and got scared back in the deeper areas of the woods, and decided to shoot at her.

She scaled a tree close to the settlement, leaning forward to get a better look. Unfortunately, she leaned a bit too far, and fell out of the tree, hitting several branches and knocking them down.

'Great. You're a regular genius, Nasari. Anyone would have heard that.' the Kihunter, now known as Nasari, thought to herself, smoothing out a crumpled wing.

Speeder hollowed out a tree. It was hard, but it was'nt dangerous.

Collator, having decided to help out this rag tag group of people had begun to collect tree trunks, tree stumps and branches for people to form their own objects, furniture and suchlike.

Working alongside his new faithful companion, a cat named Felix, but this was no normal cat. Collator saw him as one of the groups defenders.

He was just currently looking around for the next tree stump to collect when Nasari fell out of a tree in front him. His telepathy and cyborgnetic scans alrady in action, saw Nasari as no threat. Instead, his strong german accent, "Ah, welcome stranger to the settlement. Help out anyway in which you can. You may call me Collator, and this..." He holds up his cat, "Is Felix....."

"I'm Nasari. If you need me to, I can do some of the woodcutting, or hunting. I can build shelters too. Mostly in trees. I guess you'd only need me to do that if this village is going to be in the trees. I personally think it'd be a pretty good idea, because it'll keep wolves and other wild animals from getting in."

Nasari seemed to wince in pain as the wind blew her injured wing.

"First off, we need to do something about this."

Nasari pointed at the hole in her wing with her claw.

Sharai looks down in the stream, the internet was an odd place "I miss my computer, but boy, this place ROCKS!" The mud-blond human sees a colony on the other side "Hmmm, looks great, maby I should go meet the natives" She starts to cross the river, but she really likes water, not to mention preatty lazy "This river is preatty nice, maby I should stay here for a little while" (Like, what? 3 weeks? lol)

Leporidae was hiding in the bushes when a bug starts to crawl under her. She jumps in surprize and starts to run. She accedently runs into one of the huts and falls unconcious.

~Oh, Kumo, what an interesting surprise to meet you once more...~ Little Sister quickly withdrew her tendrils of hair from the trees, remembering how Kumo reacted the last time she'd killed birds. She'd have to forage for unappetising things like fruits and vegetables with him around, but the last thing she wanted was to catch something only to have him insist on giving it a proper burial. ~What brings you here?~

Yes, a full civilization. Complete with cities and population. And people complain about finding sodden tissues in their pockets...*

Ruster was standing on a hill in the center of the wilds.
The wind was picking up and it was scented with earth and animal.
As it rushed passed her on it's journey it rustled the grasses and reeds at her feet and pulled her robe about her.
In the distance she could see a bustle of activity in a stand of trees and it puzzled her. All through her wonderings through this part of the world she had not seen more than one being in one place. She wondered if Uncle approved of this activity...
Anyway, now was no time to start worrying about a strange creature she had but met, and she set off in the direction of the Settlement
