Moments after posting this (in the Evil Game, of all places - I only found it because another thread was made discussing this), most of the spammers contributing to the idiocy she'd been initially annoyed with began to thank her for this decision (I suppose she did call it idiocy for a reason ).
For those of you playing at home, Gameware's gotten to the stage where leannewoods is no longer the only spammer at GW, but rather one of a small group of spammers, and when they aren't spamming they're spending page after page of a thread arguing with each other (which I suppose is essentially the same as spamming).
Lisa's finally decided that somebody actually needs to moderate the GW forums (a little late imo), and though I personally doubt that she's going to be able to keep a tight leash on people who spend much of their lives spamming things up over there, I'm hoping that she'll soon give up on that and ban them all. _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

What is this Gameware forum? It is a part of Blackstar or connected to it in some way and if so will the changes undertaken there also impact on us here?
I must apologise in advance if the answer is as extraordinarily obvious as I suspect it is, if so you will have to chalk it up to my inexperience as a member of this community but I felt it best to ask. |

Nothing for you to worry about, Arthur. It's just that a good portion of Blackster's members and most if not all of the early members have come from Gameware, including DP himself.
She finally has, huh? Well, maybe it will be worth going back to. Though I didn't announce my departure this time as I usually do, I also haven't checked for a month or two so I guess I count as not there anymore.
Heh, I wonder when my Gameware Member thing got put back on... I don't know. Anyways, at least it won't be out of date anymore. _________________ Characters:

It's the official forum of the company (Gameware) that sells a series of games known as Creatures and as Intyalle mentioned a large part of this community originated in that one.
It's good to hear that something is finally being done about the level of spam on there, hopefully it'll persuade more of the older members to return and make it possible to have more actual conversations there. The CC needs all the help it can get and having so many people see the official forum as unuseable isn't what we need right now.
One thing I don't understand is why Lisa doesn't just assign a moderator to deal with the spam if she doesn't want to do it herself. I'm sure she could find a sutiable member who would be willing to do the job. _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott
