Name:
Iman al-Rashid ibn Aali (which means Iman the righteous, son of Aali - Iman means faith, and Aali means high)

Age:
25

Gender:
Male

Species:
Human

Description and Physiology:
Dark hair, brown eyes, square-jawed, not particularly big built, but very toned from a lot of training. Several scars on his chest and back, with one on his face going from below his left eye to just under the chin.

Physical Abilities:
Speed and agility allows Iman to climb things that most others can't, jump at a greater height than average and also gives him the ability to slip through small gaps. Is also very stealthy, managing to hide in the shadows or in plain-sight. All of this aids in his work, which requires his victims to not know their doom until it is too late, and get away quickly with minimal additional casualties. When necessary however, he also has skill in combat with bladed weapons, as well as throwing daggers. This is considered a last resort, however.

Supernatural Abilities:
None... unless you count the climbing, running, jumping and slipping through tight spaces.

Signature Moves/Attacks:
Iman blends into a crowd, enabling him to get close enough to his target to feel the breath on his face, then quickly drive his hidden blade into the target's eye. Alternatively he gains his targets trust, waits until his/her back is to them, and drives a blade into the base of the skull.
To get away, climbing walls is a speciality, as is jumping from rooftop to rooftop while he's up there.

Weaponry:
Short sword, dagger, throwing daggers, hidden retractable blade on the right forearm operated by a spring-loaded mechanism, activated by a flick of the wrist.

Equipment:
The Hashshashin are taught to get by with the minimal of non-essential possessions. Other than weapons, food and clothing, Iman has nothing. If however, he does need something, he's more than willing to pay for it - or steal it.

Home:
Iman has no home. He used to live in the stronghold of Alamut, but that was before.

Origin:
Iman was born in Acre, Israel. When he was 20, he was brought to Alamut, a mountain fortress south of the Caspian Sea.

History:
After 20 years of living on the streets of Acre, being raised as a thief, one night Iman was set upon by a group of thugs. After being stabbed, he was sure he had died. His belief was backed up by the fact that he awoke in a garden full of beautiful women with a feast waiting for him. He spent one full day here, making use of the women and consuming the food and drink before falling asleep. When he awoke, however, he found himself in a dark, damp, musty-smelling cell. He still has no idea how long he was left in this cell, but after a while he was confronted by two mysterious men, flanking a taller, leaner looking man. This man introduced himself as Hassan-i-Sabbah, and told him that Allah had shown him a glimpse of the afterlife. An afterlife that he would only receive if he were to follow the instructions of Hassan to the letter, and become a member of the al-da'wa al-jadīda - a group that was referred to by outsiders by the derogatory term "hashshashin".
For five years he would carry out political assassinations of important muslim leaders who were destroying the muslim way of life by living in luxury while their people suffered. Killing was not always necessary - often a simple dagger in the pillow of the sleeping target was enough to make the leaders see the hashshashin's view. But for those who ignored the warnings, death came to them swiftly... they would be dead before they even knew they were in danger.
During his fifth year however, he learnt a terrible truth. The thugs who had attacked him five years earlier were in fact members of the hashshashin themselves. The blade which stabbed him laced with a potent chemical which caused him to deliriously accept that he was in the heavens, when he was in fact in a garden at the top of the mountains that Alamut was built upon. All of this was part of their recruitment process... to scare people into serving them. Iman was outraged! Hassan was no better than those he was sent to kill. This is when he decided he would desert the hashshashin. Of course, he could never stop running. Desertion from the sect was punishable by death, and some of their best assassin's would be after him.
After six months of running, the inevitable happened. Iman came face to face with one of his former friends. A bloody duel ensued, and once again, Iman was pierced by the weapon of a Hashshashin. When he awoke, he found himself in a strange land that he had never seen before. Was he drugged again? Was he really dead this time? Or was something completely different going on? What is this place?

Alignment:
Iman will kill when necessary, however, he despises killing those he does not feel deserve it. He does make exceptions to this rule when he feels it is necessary to his cause however. When taking contracts, he will only consider the ones against evil people.

Personality:
An unwavering defender of his own set of ideals, Iman will go to great lengths to help/protect those he deems as good. He may be a mere human, but his training in Alamut, as well as his upbringing on the streets of Israel as a thief have made him tough. He may flee when a task becomes too difficult, but this is only so that he may live to try again when the opportunity arises. He has never, and will never completely give up on a target, making him a feared enemy.
His loyalty to his own moral code is at times hampered when he realises that someone who he believes are good will have to die for the greater good. In these cases, he will do what needs to be done, but allows himself to grieve innocent life once the job is complete.
Because of the nature of his work, Iman does not like to get too close to people, personally... but he has been known to slip in this regard on a few occassions. Usually when the person in question proves themselves a loyal ally, and he decides their death won't be needed.
He doesn't speak much, only when he needs to.

Known Weaknesses:
As a human, he possesses all of the weaknesses of any other human, despite his superior stealth, speed and agility. It is for this reason that direct combat is a last resort.

Allies:
Iman will make alliances from time to time, however these are only brief. He doesn't allow himself the luxury of friends, as he never knows when circumstances will make his current allies his next targets. If the ally remains loyal, and nothing comes up to make Iman break the alliance himself, however, he is unwavering.
