The Beowulf to her tribe's Grendel

((This is just me testing a character out with 3kul. It would be nice if others didn't post in it. Feel free to read it however.))

Name: Mough
Age: Slightly younger than HollowEyes
Description: Quite tall and skinny, with fur covering her front and sharp, tough scales on her back (unlike a pangolin, she has no scales whatsoever on her arms or legs). Has a long, thick, and bulky tail, also covered in the sharp scales. Miniture wings cover the slits on the side of her head that serve as ears. Face has a long snout, and the trademark mouthed tongue that comes with all parasitians.
Abilities: Has the ability to roll into a compact ball, and roll over things, cutting them up with her sharp scales. Her tongue is also uniquely sticky, allowing it to attach to things. Also, up to eight scales on her back can shoot off and morph into pangolin fiends.
Species: Parasitian, of the Leech clan.
Weapontry: Her scales.
History: Mough was born the same day HollowEyes was, witnessing the destruction of her clan. Ever since that day she had dedicated her life to finding the legendary Byule and avenging her family's death.

From what the people here have said, her target was quite nearby. He was last seen entering that conspicious traditional japanese pangoda... not thinking of the consequences, she rushed in, not expecting what was inside.

She opened her eyes again outside the welcome center to the Dojo, staring at the land.

"What the hell."

Just kidding, Shaon asked me if she could make a Parasitian, which was cool with me. Now to coincidentally be nearby...))

HollowEyes and Little Sister had been wandering around aimlessly for quite some time now, not having found anything that she deemed worthy of eating. The only thing there seemed to be lots of were lumpy little things that screamed when you poked them and made music as they breathed. They were probably fascinating to most people, but Little Sister saw them as an annoyance and a pest - totally unsuited for eating.

"Let's just return back to the Cave, you hate all of these animals." ~Why are the best ones in the unexplored areas...~ "Why would DP let some insanely vicious predator run around here? I mean look, we're right near the welcome centre." He waited for her to reply in her typical rude, know-it-all manner, but she didn't - something seemed to have caught her attention.

~Hey brother, come check this out with me.~ She slunk behind the corner of a building, and switched to her glowing red eye. ~I don't believe it, it's another Parasitian! Wow, she's so... different. She's got all kinds of abilities, I wonder what she's been eating?~ Little Sister seemed overly excited at the prospect of another one of her kind taking up residence here. HollowEyes seemed to feel exactly the opposite way about it. "Another one of us? I don't think this is such a great idea, let's go."

Little Sister continued to look at the strange female. ~Oooh, don't be so hasty - she looks to be about our age, maybe she'll take an interest in you.~ "Don't say such stupid things - what clan is she from?" ~Ohoho, interested in such personal details straight away, I'll just...~ Little Sister stopped talking as she continued to stare at the female with her red glowing eye, not really wanting to say what she'd just found out. Her tone changed from the teasing mood she'd been in before to a deadly serious one. ~She's a Paraseech, like us.~

This was really bad, thought HollowEyes. "There's no one in our clan who could ever mean us well, let's get going." For once, Little Sister seemed to agree with him as they stumbled over each other to escape without the female noticing them. As they began to run away, HollowEyes accidentally stood on one of the little lumpy creatures they'd seen so many of that day, and it promptly stopped softly playing music to scream. Little Sister whipped her tongue around and swallowed the poor creature whole. ~Idiot, why don't you watch where you're stepping. Let's just hope she hasn't seen us.~

Mough was looking around when she suddenly heard the scream. She cringed, her wings fluttering at the noise when it quite suddenly stopped.

Snapped out of her daze, she stood up, walking cautiously towards where LS and HE were at.

"Show yourself, I mean you no harm."

~She must be younger than I thought, what kind of Parasitian says a dumb thing like that? Kids these days...~ Little Sister shook her head as the pair hid behind a large bush - running away was a little difficult given the open nature of the plains, so they had to think of another way out.

~And she's not even speaking Parasitian either, I can't believe that she's-~ "It doesn't matter what she is and what she isn't, there's no way someone from the Leech clan would just happen to travel practically the entire length of the multiverse and make their way to our exact location without meaning us some kind of harm." HollowEyes was very annoyed by the presense of someone from his own clan, and the serious expression on his face showed that. Little Sister acting several times older than she actually was didn't help things.

~Maybe times have changed and the clan really wants us back?~ HollowEyes struggled to stifle his own laughter, although Little Sister was able to freely laugh through the shared mind. The very notion of such a thing happening was totally ridiculous. "Yeah, right, like that's going to happen. Though why some rookie is out here hunting us is beyond me." Little Sister was wondering the same thing.

~Well, no point hiding forever, let's get back to the Cave.~ Little Sister extended a few tendrils through the long grass towards the female. "What are you doing?" HollowEyes hissed to her. "Why not just step on a lumpy again whilst we're at it?" ~Keh! Stop worrying so much. This girl's too clueless to be smart. We can escape after I've distracted her.~

Mough noticed the tendrils of white hair, picking up several strands and running them through long fingers.

"Interesting ability. Living hair. Please, I will not harm you. The scales are for show."

~Interesting?!? Is this kid really from the Leech clan, or even a Parasitian for that matter?~ The girl's unusual attitude was certainly surprising to the two, who were used to a different variety of Parasitian. "Maybe we're just out of touch or something?" HollowEyes wondered. "Maybe she wasn't raised properly, the Leech clan was a mess when we left it..."

He wasn't sure what to think. "You go out there first and see if she's safe - if she's not, I can escape while you distract her." Little Sister rolled her eyes at the stupid idea. ~Hey, here's an idea I've never pitched before, why don't I eat you, and then she won't recognize us at all! See, it's so perfect, because-~ "Just go." HollowEyes said as he shoved her out from behind the bush.

As she stumbled out, the hairs in the unknown Parasitian's hands withdrew themselves and began weaving amongst others to form words.

Mough smiled as she kneeled down, reading LS's message.

"What do I want? My, spiders these days are quite careful, I must say. I'm looking for a childhood friend. He ran off when we were kids and I haven't seen him since then. You haven't seen someone around my age running around here, have you?"

~Childhood friend?! Keh! She's even dumber than we thought. Make your escape soon brother, watch for when I distract her.~ HollowEyes should've felt satisfied that he was right, but instead felt disappointed that they'd found out she was lying by pretending to be his friend. Friends were something neither he nor Little Sister had ever had as kids... but now was not the time to be thinking of that. He lay in wait for Little Sister to make her move.

Little Sister grinned at the unknown female Parasitian, as her day had become so much more interesting than it had been ten minutes ago. She reworked her hair to form a new series of sentances.

[Oh, I think I know him.]
[He never mentioned a childhood friend to me before though.]
[He lives not too far from here.]
[I'll take you to meet him.]

Her hair then lifted off the ground and weaved into a set of large arms. She placed one on the female's shoulder a little too forcefully, and pointed towards Psychotopia, which was quite near them. She began to walk, the smile on her face seriously creeping HollowEyes out, because she almost never smiled like that.

Mough frowned at the large city nearby, before looking at LS as she smiled. Her tongue.

Acknowledging the spider's small size, she barked in Parasitian.

"Liyao! Where is Byule!?"

Little Sister remained calm as ever, and rewove her hair in the direction opposite to HollowEyes. This way, as Mough turned to read it, her back would be facing HollowEyes. He took this as the distraction despite being caught out, reassured himself that Little Sister could take care of herself, and darted out from behind the bush, running back towards the Black Forest as silently as he could.

[Liyao? Byule? You believe in fairy tale monsters?]
[My family left the Leech clan a long time ago]
[to establish better relations with the Snake clan]

She was lying, although it wasn't obvious. She picked the Snake clan because a member of the Snake clan had been doing the same thing in the Leech clan. He left the day they'd been born, so they'd only heard about him, but he had solved a lot of problems with the relations between the Snake and Leech clan - he even contributed to the egg that Little Sister and Byule had developed in.

To a typical Parasitian, this kind of thing was not uncommon - clan members often left for different clans for various reasons, such as trading knowledge or goods. The only problem was that this girl did not seem to be a typical Parasitian.

Mough growled, and shot her tongue around Little Sister. The extra long, extremely sticky thing wrapped around her several times, and attempted to tighten itself, also attempting to lift the small Parasitian in the air.

"I'm not stupid. Byule! Where are you!? I've got your precious twin!"

~Like hell you have.~

Several tendrils of hair hadn't been wrapped up by Mough's unusually sticky tongue, and each one formed a razor sharp edge as they were swung towards it.

HollowEyes wasn't sure if he should keep going or not - for a Parasitian to eat another Parasitian was a big taboo, but killing one wasn't. He was fairly sure that Little Sister could manage, but not entirely. He slowed his pace so that if need be, he could help her.

"OH GOD OWOWOWOW"

Her tongue quickly retracted, as instead several scales shot off her body.

They quivered for a few seconds before shooting into the air oncemore, morphing into something large and covered in even more scales than Mough. Pangolin fiends.

Three of the large ones landed nearby Little Sister, surrounding her, while a much smaller one landed on her back, attempting to wrap its scale-covered, prehensile tail around wherever her neck seemed to be.

This wasn't good. The kid made amateur moves, but she seemed to not only be able to land back on her feet but have another trick up her sleeve. The amount of Fiends that she had was a little disturbing, and Little Sister had never seen such weird animals.

Had she known anything about spirits, she might've known the reason, but as it was, she'd never been interested in spirits. HollowEyes on the other hand, knew exactly what was going on.

"Keh, she's an even more spoilt brat than you, Little Sister."

A voice sounded from the bushes as a few charms flew out, on towards Little Sister and the other two towards Mough.

~Ah, brother, I didn't need your help you-~

She was cut off as the Fox charm hit her in the back of the head, causing her hair to suddenly spike out in that particular directions, sharpening quickly into spines. She couldn't tell if she'd just skewered the Pangolin Fiend or it had escaped, mainly because Fiends have a habit of disappearing when they 'die'.

As Little Sister swore at him for using charms on her without warning, HollowEyes waited to see how Mough would react to the Beetle charms he flicked at her.

Hearing something, Mough ducked, one of the charms narrowly missing a wing, while the other froze several scales on her back.

The small pangolin had been killed, several of the spines shooting into his soft underbelly.

The others looked at their master, who made a gesture with her long fingers, and the four started closing the gaps that Little Sister could possibly escape in.

The largest of the group stood up awkwardly, unsheathing the unweildly claws that forced it to walk on its knuckles, ready to use them if need be.
