Well I've 'finished' the game (ie: beaten the Elite Four) and now all I can really think of to do is not very much at all. I just can't shake that whole 'I've finished this game, there's no need to play anymore' feeling. Anybody else feel this or is it just me?
Don't get me wrong, I've still enjoyed the game, there's just so little motivation for me to play past beating the Elite Four. What else is there for me to do? Capture a bunch of legendaries? Great, but what if I don't actually want them? That's okay, I guess I could just go to the Battle Tower and fight and endless amount of opponents for no experience at all... Oh wait, that doesn't sound too fun either. Contests? Fat lot of good trading over my previous winners does, they've changed to the point that winning in the previous game doesn't matter. The dress-up and dance rounds keep screwing me over (mainly because I suck at them ) and dragging my score down, it just gets to be more irritating than anything.
Have I missed something here? Is there some much cooler secret place that I haven't visited? Is there an actual purpose for Survival Area or is it just the worst town ever? _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

At the risk of sounding like an advertisment why not try and "catch 'em all"?
Maybe that only appeals to me and my semi-obsessive desire to collect things even when there is no point to it but I sometimes feel like the storyline is just in my way because it slows down my ability to get to new Pokemon.
I'm already thinking about how I'm going to go about getting the rarest ones (mainly do I cheat or not and if not what could I trade for them and to who?) and coupled with my weird rule that I only catch the first evolutionary form and raise the rest myself and the fact that I will have to buy and complete Fire Red and Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald in order to get all the ones not in Pearl and Diamond I'm going to be busy for a while.
(Not to mention the fact that I have to also find DS time for Minish Cap and the new Zelda game comming out soon.)
And if that doesn't appeal to you what about PVP battles? Which I'm lead to believe takes up a lot of time if you want a really good team. _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

That's exactly what I was about to suggest. Start raising teams for PvP battles. That'll really eat up your time. _________________ LYNCH'S X-TREME POST-APOCALYPTIC ROOFTOP BEACH VOLLEYBALL |

Thanks for the replies everyone, but I've got a bit of a problem...

The same goes for online battles
I suppose I could try to catch every single pokemon, but the annoying thing is knowing that it's an impossible goal, as there are a few legendaries that I'll never be able to get (I hate legendaries so very much ). Without online trading I'm kind of screwed really...
*sigh* Looks like I'll have to try sorting it out again when I get back home. _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

Umm...yeah. That's not a very good excuse
I think Danikat uses this, with some success _________________

Close but no cigar DP, I don't have XP on my computer. My excuse still stands strong!

What do you have instead?
If its Linux or something along those lines I'm pretty sure theres software out there that can lie to it and tell it you're using Windows so it'll cooperate.
If its a form of Windows other than XP then I don't really know what to suggest. _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

Sounds like you're pretty screwed, mang.
All the same, start breeding and raising what you've already got in preparation for getting the Wi-Fi going. It's what I play Pokémon for myself; I blaze through the storyline in as little time as possible and slaughter the Elite Four, usually in less than 40 hours, so I can get on with raising 100s. _________________ LYNCH'S X-TREME POST-APOCALYPTIC ROOFTOP BEACH VOLLEYBALL |

Raising 100s you say?
I might have to look into that.

I guess that's not a bad way to go, and if worst comes to worst I can always just wait until the Pokemon Wii game comes out to get in some online battling.
It's a little disappointing though, the areas that opened up to me after beating the Elite Four in this game weren't as interesting as they have been in previous games (I enjoyed the islands in LG/FR, though G/S/C takes the cake by sending you back through much of Kanto ). _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

If you're going to battle online, you need 100s. Believe me. Do it. _________________ LYNCH'S X-TREME POST-APOCALYPTIC ROOFTOP BEACH VOLLEYBALL |
