Falling.

*The grendel started, having only just noticed where it's enemy was. I reacted quickly, swiping at it with my knife. I obviously wasn't quick enough, the grendel dodged and easily disarmed me with a flick of it's fingers. It was a Banshee. Kisspop. I'd been following it's trail for ages, hoping to find out where it got it's food.

The Capillita had long since left, and the planet it had made for it's norns had slowly grown ferral, taking the creatures along with it. Food was scarce, scarce enough to risk life and limb for. Normally I wouldn't have followed it, but it smelt healthy, so I presumed it had food.

The grendel raised it's fists for a final blow. That face... I remembered it from somewhere...*

Shadow quickly popped the knife from the Norn's hand and brought his fist up to a place where he could finish this instrusion off. Few kind of Norns would have had the courage to something like this. Then it spoke.

"..Shadow..?"

It seemed this one recognized him. Shadow did not remember this one, possibly because anger was clouding his head. He would want to find out more of this one later. He moved his claw to the side and knocked the Norn out.

High above the grendel and norn, an ettin perched, watching what happen.

It had feathers, from the nape of his neck, spreading to make its arms wings, and down to create a tail.

Its toes and claws were much sharper, allowing it to pick up things with ease from the air.

This ettin type was very rarely seen, and for good reason. Its coloring fit perfectly with the tree it was within.

Shadow had the feeling he was being watched... but he couldn't spot anyone. He shook of the feeling and trudged the out of the clearing leaving the Norn to its fate.

Shadow climbed a nearby tree and entered it through a knot hole. Inside was a moderate supply of food, and some grass, which he had been using as a bed ever since he escaped from the ship down to this moon's surface.

At the time, it had seemed like his only choice. Looking back, he wasn't sure that it was such a good idea. At least the ship had had a warp generator for him to attempt to get back to Goron with. Here, there was no technology, and food was scare.

Shadow kept his ears open for any approaching creatures.

*...Where am I..? The norn squinted, then remembering what had happened earlier that day jumped to it's feet. It was alive. Thank god. What to do now? The norn looked around and spotting something shiney, picked it up. It was the knife. Well, friendly or hostile, the norn needed that food bad. It set off further into the forest, tracking the grendel by the faint remains of it's smell.*
