The Basics
Name: Lunagon
Age: 15
Apparent Age: 15
Gender: Male
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 110 lbs
Eye Color: Silvery Orange
Hair Color: Light Silver
Physique: Thin, but fairly muscular
Race: Vampire/Human
Language: Common Tongue, Vampiric
Religious affiliation: None
Homeland: ???
Home/Location in Psychotopia: Wanders around.
Heraldic Symbol/Colors: Very Dark Red
Companions/Friends: None
Weaknesses: Hemophiliac-Lunagon's blood has problems clotting and as a result, even a small cut is capable of severely weakening him.
Sensitivity to Light magic-Lunagon is a Dark magician, and Light magic can heavily injure him.
Because of his half-vampire heritage, he needs blood or something similar to it in order to stay healthy.
Finally, there are his emotional "breakdowns"-usually start flaring up when Lunagon is thinking about his parents, these are periods when Lunagon is very sad or depressed.

Skills
Studies:
Dark Magic-Lunagon can use 3 dark magic spells-Shadow Die, which sends a spiraling black box flying in an arc towards a foe, which then splits into 3 at the arc's high point, and each box lands on a diffrent foe, contracts, and explodes; Blood Money, which sends two spirals of light into the air, which collide and create 3 circles of light, which then close in on 3 diffrent foes, drain a small amount of life-force from those foes, and gives it back to Lunagon, who gets healed; and Dazzle Darts, which sends a bolt of dark lightning into the air, creating a dark purple sphere which emits 10 bolts of dark lightning, which then pass over a group of foes and zap random enemies. He is currently learning how to cast these so they hit a single individual-right now, they are "Group Attack" spells which hit multiple, random foes.

Wanderer's Life-This is something Lunagon has taugt himself-and even he hasn't entirely learned the ways of the road yet. All he knows is to flee from opponents larger than himself, and fight opponents smaller then himself.

Apprenticeships: None.

Natural Abilities: In addition to being able to cast Dark magic (see "Studies" for more defintition on his spells), he has excellent Night vision, and is strengthened by the moon's light-in other words, he is fairly strong by himself, but the light of the moon makes him strong enough to crush a rock by simply squeezing it with his fist.
In addition, Lunagon also can teleport for short distances. When he does so, he will first flicker, then dissapear. Then somewhere else-usually 10 feet away or so-he will flicker back into visibility. This ability is called Faze.
Lunagon doesn't have complete control over this ability yet-sometimes he'll faze when he doesn't mean to, and other times he won't teleport when he wishes to.
Occupation(s): Freelance warrior-he is an excellent fighter, but does not work for any specific person.
Financial Status: He lives off whatever he can find, very poor

Family
Father: Name Witheld, Vampire (Dead)
Mother: Eryes, Human (Dead)
Siblings: None

Clothing: Black, Long-sleeved shirt; Tan, baggy pants, either brown sandals, traveling boots, or goes barefoot.
Jewelry: A necklace with a charm in the shape of a cross, made of silver and topaz
Weapons:
Night Slasher-This weapon is a sword of sorts, although it has a shorter blade then a typical sword. It is double edged, and sharp enough it cuts fabric that is just dropped on the blade.

Moon Glinter-A weapon that looks like a cross between a pistol and a scimitar. It can either shoot sharp, pointed darts or cleave through flesh.

Armor: Chainmail worn over his shirt during battle.

Magical Items/Artifacts (and their powers):
Staff of Darkness-This 4-foot quarterstaff is made out of obsidian and quartz. In addition to being nearly unbreakable, it can channel Lunagon's dark magic abilities. However, he can also cast spells with his hands-the Staff merely strengthens his dark magic skills.

Books/Scrolls: A personal journal, a book of Dark Magic.

Are any of your possessions sentient? No.

The old man who referred to himself as Jibbs walked a path well-trodden nearby his living space, during the early hours of the night.

Although he was well into his 60's, Jibbs looked young for his age, perhaps in his late 40's or early 50's. His face bore few wrinkles, and his green eyes reflected strength.
He needed no cane, the only thing he carried with him was a short staff tipped with a greenish orb. The rest of his outfit consisted of leather pants and a loose, tan shirt.

Jibbs looked around, pulling his grey cloak closer to his body. Every time he walked through these woods, the trees seemed to speak to him-and tonight, they were especially talkative, as if something very important had just happened.

He stopped walking to listen. Just then, he noticed something out the corner of his eye.

He turned towards the something, and realized it was a group of black feathers, visible even in the darkness that surrounded the area. They were just lying there on the ground, as if they belonged to something...

Jibbs walked closer, and it became clear the feathers belonged to an eagle-a black eagle. It was dead.

He figured the eagle must have died recently, for when he touched it, the body was still warm. However, when this eagle died wasn't what Jibbs was concerned about-it was what killed it.

Jibbs looked around the clearing the eagle was lying in. Smack dab in the middle of the clearing was a large basket, colored black like the eagle. Curious, Jibbs took a look inside it.

It held 2 things-a 4-foot long staff made of obsidian, perhaps with some quartz imbued, and a large, black book. Jibbs considered taking the staff for his own personal usage, but thought against it when he picked up the book to look at it.

The book had a symbol on the color Jibbs knew all too well-the symbol of Darkness. So this book contained teachings of Dark magic. Perhaps the staff had some darkness imbued within it.

Now it was clear that the eagle had carried this basket all the way here, then died of exhaustion. But-why would a black eagle carry a basket with a staff and a book all the way out here?

That question was easily answered, because it was then Jibbs became aware of a silent sobbing from somewhere in the clearing. Looking away from the basket, Jibbs finally noticed a curled up figure sitting near a tree.

Well, well, what have we here?

Jibbs approached what he assumed to be a boy. However, he stepped on a twig, causing the boy to look up and alarmingly crawl backwards some. Apparently, he was just as surprised to see Jibbs as Jibbs was to see him.

Jibbs examined the boy. No surprise to him, the boy was breathing hard, and although Jibbs couldn't see tears, it was obvious the boy had been crying. His clothing consisted of merely a black shirt and greyish pants, plus a necklace with a charm in the shape of a cross around his neck. He had no shoes on.

But what got Jibbs the most about this boy-he had sharp claws in place of nails, pointed ears, and silvery orange eyes. All of those meant the boy didn't have normal parents.

Speaking of which-where was his parents?

That's when everything fell into place for Jibbs-the boy had been carried in the basket by the eagle, along with the staff and the book of Dark magic, and wound up here, where the eagle died because it couldn't go any further.

All that because his parents were in mortal danger, and they decided saving their child's life was more important than saving their own.

Jibbs looked into the distance between the trees, and he swore he could see a reddish glow. But before he could firmly see what was causing it, the glow was gone.

Perhaps this boy's parents were lost to the exactly same beast that had claimed Jibb's wife and children's lives many years earlier. If that was the case, then he and the boy had something in common. Therefore, it was only natural Jibbs considered taking him in. Plus, he doubted the boy would last 5 hours out here by himself.

However, the trick was to convince the boy to go with him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Remember to get me some baobab sap! Has excellent healing properties, it does!" Jibbs called out from the porch of his house.
Lunagon chuckled to himself and turned around.
"Oh come on, Jibbs. You know I never forget want you want," he said back.
Jibbs constantly sent him to the stores in Dojopolis to get food and medicenal supplies. Lunagon understood he was getting old, but Jibbs was still healthy enough to walk all those miles to the central plains. If he was so scared Lunagon would forget something, why didn't he go get the things himself? And plus, that was a lot to put on somebody who was only 8.
"That maybe true, but a few reminders always help, don't they?" Jibbs asked.
"Guess you're right. I better get going-we're not getting anywhere just standing here talking, are we?" answered Lunagon, before turning around and leaving.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Lunagon stood on a hill overlooking the Central Plains. In one hand he held the Staff of Darkness in a vertical position. His other two weapons-the Night Slasher and the Moon Glinter-were in their sheaths.

His only purpose here was to watch the sun set, and to think about all he had went through during his life.

He had 15 years of life under his belt now, and not a single one of those years had been peaceful and quiet. His most notable memories were the deaths at his parents 10 years ago; when he was 9, Jibbs, who he had been living with, had been killed; and just 2 years ago he had a near-fatal encounter with his enemy, Spifen.

None of those were very pleasant experiences, but he had made it through them. And there were experiences yet to be had.

Lunagon sat down, legs crossed, and closed his eyes in mediation. Yes, it may be a rocky road ahead, but whatever challenges lay in wait for him, he would be ready for them.
