Pets
The symbiote is a jet black, rather smart space parasite. The symbiote species reproduces by a kind of splitting. Once the symbiote with a host sees another worthy host, a small part of the symbiote breaks off and attaches itself to that spotted host. The "baby" symbiote enters the new host’s body through their pores and waits until it gains enough energy for a take over. The broken part is essentially another member of the species, with its own thoughts and powers. Symbiotes often influence their hosts into darker thoughts, but sometimes the host may be strong enough to resist and form a mutual relationship. If the host is under threat, or a high level of adrenaline the symbiote flows out of the host and covers them like clothing. In this way, the symbiote gains full control over the host, can talk through their voice and gives the host more strength speed and defense. Usually if the symbiote has full control, it will attack using its higher stats until the host gains enough control to stop, or its target is...dispatched. Symbiotes only have a few weaknesses such as high heat, electrical burns or sonic disruption. (Loud sounds such as church bells)

Coolpikaaa looked up from the fallen girl and saw it. A person standing with some sort of mini computer in one hand and a strange pokeball in the other.
Coolpikaaa was weak and tired but his cheeks formed sparks and he stared down the trainer, ready to fight for his freedom.

Coolpikaaa slowly followed the cage up to the bedroom. Spotting a bit of furniture, he made sure no one saw and quickly hid under it. The underside of the furniture was scratchy and annoying. But the pikachu knew if he waited long enough....

There!

Coolpikaaa knew he had to move fast. After darting out, he jumped up to the cage and quickly tried to open it. After picking at the lock for a long time, he finally got the cage open and stole Jax out.

They sat together on the end of Kazumaru’s lab table.
"So....I guess you are having my...clone" Coolpikaaa said.
Neutrino just turned away.
"You know...I didn't exactly want this. It’s not like I asked Kaz to clone me and stick the baby in you.
Look I think we got off on the wrong foot. How about we start again?
My name is Coolpikaaa. Would you like a cookie?"
Neutrino looked at him like he was crazy.
"It's lemon, it tastes good. Come on, it’s not poison."
Neutrino looked at the cookie, took it in one paw and took a bite.
"Good?"
Neutrino nodded.
The two continued to sit on the end of the table.

"Neutrino?"
The female pikachu was in her nest alongside the egg.
The egg.
My son....our son.
"Neutrino?!" Coolpikaaa asked again.
Kaz looked up from some experiments.
"Neutrino come on this isn't funny!” the pikachu said as he made his way across the table to the "Nest".
Embri was there. She started to push the female pikachu with her nose.

Something was wrong.

Coolpikaaa, Embri, Kaz stood over Neutrino's grave.
She had died in the night. Only Kaz seemed to have something to say.He gave his speech and we stood there for a bit longer. The Eevee that had been with the group for a while had left and the air was still.
Baby-pikaaa started to cry, and the sound traveled out from the lab.

Everything was going to be different for Coolpikaaa now.
