Yeah, the Rejected Munchkin has finally joined Blackstar!
I've hauled myself off Club Albia to join up Smile

I like drawing and playing the Playstation (you can tell by my avatar

But... I'm really confused. What's with all the different areas? What are items for???

well, im not very good at introducing you to blackstar, so i'll answer the second question you asked.

the items are used to make other items. some items can be used, like the one on the post after this is automatically generated.
i used the item Stone arrows, which is made from stone and a plank of wood. but first you have to buy the stone and a branch.
you use the branch and cut it down to make a plank. then you go to the right shop. and it will "sync" it for you, making stone arrows.

if that don't make sense, have someone else explain it.

zerrer launches a Stone Arrow from their bow. It goes flying straight towards Tree right next to draconorn and connects! The Stone Arrow breaks upon impact.

Mods like me have shiney silver dragon badges on our belts, andthe admins have glittery golden dragons on theirs! If you have any problms or questions, bug one of us mos for an answer as the Admins are too busy with whatever it is that Admin's do; I wouldn't know as I'm not an admin.

PS: If aAddman says any cookie's you gain must be given to him, tell me so I can attack him. Still haven't forgoten the ime he stood on Ravil's tail.

I'm sure someone will come with a canned greeting soon, but since I don't have it with me, I'll just answer the questions and list some basics.

The different areas have different purposes. For example, the ampitheatre is where you go to write poems/stories and the sort. That sort of thing. The Bingo Hall is for playing games. Just take a peak inside, read a couple threads, and you will get the gist of what the section is for. Beware though: some areas are closed off because you have to be in a certain group, or a mod/admin. Other than that, you should be allowed access to the section. Don't forget to put up a character profile in the Hall of Records. Razz

Like Zerrer explained, some items are usuable. You get Yen

for writing posts. This is the currency of the Dojo (there's others, but don't worry too much about that). Items are bought with Yen

. Also, you can synthesize items to make new ones. That's what the shops are for. *points to shop link*

Welcome to the Blackstar Role Playing Dojo!

If you are new to the world of Role Playing, you may wish to start at the Training Dojo, where any of our staff will be more than happy to help you learn the game.

The most important part of role playing is the development of a character. This is required before you participate in most role plays. You can look at examples of characters in our Hall of Records. Once you have a character, you can post your profile in there.

Once you have a character and some training, you may wish to join a role play. The most active of Role Playing boards is The Wilds. There are many other role playing boards for RPs of a specific location or type. Explore as much as you can.

Several of the boards are non-RPing boards. Boards like Announcements, General Chat, and Bugs and Features are examples of non-RPing boards. Be sure to explore these too.

We only have a few rules:
1. Respect other people, and treat them as you wish to be treated.
2. Do not argue with the Admins and Mods. They have plenty of work already. If you really have a beef with something, discussing it in a logical and calm manner will get you miles farther than whining.
3. No Powerplaying. This means forcing actions on other people. For more information on Powerplaying and how to avoid it, please refer to "Powerplaying" on our wiki.

If you have any questions during your stay here, you may ask one of the administrators or moderators. You can recognize us by our belts: Gold Dragons on the belt of an Admin, Silver on the belt of a mod.

Should you be unable to contact an Admin or you want your answer quickly, you can always refer to the Blackstar Wiki.

Please also be advised that Blackstar is considered highly addictive and may result in symptoms of insomnia, crankiness, longing for insanity, and general RP itch if you discontinue use.
