So...We need to stand up for our RP'ing friends in the CC. Let these people know that we haven't abandoned the CC just yet. But we also need to put this stuff on Blackstar's wiki. I don't know what's happening, but I offered both mine and Embri's services as RP Liaisons to the cWiki admin team.

Realistically, we are a completely different community, entirely separate from the CC. Look around you. Do you see anything that remotely resembles the creatures community, bar a few characters and a board untouched by the oldbies? I would think that it is not unfair to say that half the membership no longer even plays the game.

The question is: Is there actually any reason to keep our ties to the CC? If you cannot give a good reason for that, why should we even care what they're doing?

However, whatever this forum decides to do, I stand behind it. DP, if you need another RP Liaisons, I'm willing.

I think we should keep ties to the CC. Of course, this is coming from the mouth of a creatures player, so I don't have as much credibility in the decision.

No, actually you do. You're a Blackstar Role Player, and that's all that counts.

But, in a way, we are part of the CC. A fair amount of us came from the Creatures community. In fact, it all started there. Blackstar might not even exist if it wasn't for the CC, because we are merely an off-shoot community. It would be strange to suddenly decide that we aren't tied to the community, because we are and always will be tied to it. It is only fair that Blackstar backs the Creatures RPers and helps out with the Creatures Wiki Rping.

That's my two cents, anyway.

Okay, perhaps "merely an offshoot" was poor wording. Maybe "derived community", or "splinter group" would sound better? I didn't mean to say that Blackstar was dependent on the CC at all, I just meant that it was born from it.

I'm really not sure. I don't think I'm involved enough (read:at all) with the Creatures Community for my opinion to be considered any kind of "vote", although from what I can see, the move away from roleplaying seems to be going away from what the Creatures Wiki was made for, not restoring something that was recently lost.

This thread might be old to bring up again, but I don't get here often as you know... So I'm going to put in my two cents.

You know, role play came in on the Creatures Forums with the original DS forums before Creature Labs went kablooie. In fact, Kablooie officially came from there. There was also quite a bit of role play that involved the Creatures and their handish owners. That role play was not only freeform, but it was also done in the warp. Creatures were being sent into and out of my world and being prepared for the battle with the Grendels.

For point of fact you also have a Creatures Role play forum here. How can anyone say that the Role play sections aren't valid in the Creatures Wiki?
