The day the world stood stoopid (or at least w/o internet)

Along with any other news that may or may not have been happening over the past week (I wouldn't know), there was a massive storm over the northeastern US. I heard accounts of a tornado forming maybe 20 or so miles from my house. A tornado? Here? Unthinkable!

And yet it happened. I was without power for the majority of last week because of it, and the surge that went with the outage fried my wireless. So, I still have no internet at my house. I'm posting from my school library.

As for last week, I was on april break, so it's not even like I got a suprise repreive from my scholarly activities. Tough. That, coupled with the fact that I just had my ear operated on (I am temporarily deaf in my left ear) has left me unable to receive news from the outside world.

From what I can tell, there was a school shooting in Virginia (my heart goes out to those families for their loss), Blackstar had its 1st Birthday (my heart goes out to the Dojodians for their commitment), and DLM paid us a visit (my heart goes out so it can strangle that SOB). What else did I miss in my comotose state?

Glad to hear you're all right - we don't get many weather reports from the States up here, so I had no idea there were tornadoes flying around. Shocked

Good to have you back! Hope your ear heals quickly - not being able to hear on one side is very disconcerting.
