G'day one and all, a nice spiffing new site to unleash my troop unto... Mwuh huh!

But seriously, How do you do? It's great to be here....

*Keeper walks into the dojo, and seeing the map showing the Southern Frontier unexplored, he heads that way in the hope of catching new species...*

Anyway, where do we start... You know, this calls for: A NEW RP! Very Happy

Really? A big tree jumping tarantula? I'd probably run for the hills if I saw it...

But we did use to have one. Not one of the nicest looking species. But it like quadroupled its size in only a few months. We were like jesus!

But one of the nicest tarantulas I've seen is the Cobalt Blue. It's a beauty!

I personally had a Chilian Rose Hair, named Taracita.

It was a guy.

It was a freaking HUGE tarantula.

We had no idea he was male.

We were sort of suspicious when he tried to mate with a plastic spider ("Boris").

We never really figured it out until he went through a mysterious third molt, which sterilized him, and died not long after.

I had no idea a goliath bird eater was a spider.

You'll have to forgive me if I scream and leap out of the way when I see you. Just consider it a personalised greeting.

Hahahah... Well, I'll try not to let my appearance dominate my actions... *Eats Danikat* Uhm, ooops?

I had a Chilean Rose, and a Chilean Beauty... The Chilean Beauty was my first ever tarantula! They both looked similar, but you had to see them to see the difference... lol...

But, to name the others I had:

Mexican Red Knee,
Mexican Painted Redleg,
Indian Ornamental.
Orange Baboon Tarantulas x2
Goliath Bird Eater,

and two Scorpions (both of which died :'( )

and several Corn Snakes. Two of which mated! We had like 90% success rate with the litter as well!

All been sold of now! :'(

I heard that mating corn snakes was supposed to be difficult.

I know my boss never had any luck with ours.

I've never owned a tarantula. What are they like? Do you have trouble with spider-webs appearing all over the place for no apparent reason?

Well, the orange baboons seemed to like making webs at the top of their tanks... So we were always worried that they'd do a runner if we took the lids off! lol....

But there's nothing quite like holding a tarantula... It still feels like its on you even though you've put it away... A nice tingling sensation.. Seriously...

Our corn snakes... Well, uhm, lets just say I think I originally had two males, then we went and brought a brother and sister pair. Within minutes of being put in with my male, he was on her faster than you can say "Who's makin' lurve tonight...." lol...

Then he kept mating her for like once a day every few days or something... They need, especially the female, needs to be well fed, well watered... The heat needs to be pretty decent. And it's good to have a light for them to bask under, as well as wood bark for them to bury themselves under....

And a coupla logs....

Although, maybe it was just luck... But the advice I've given is pretty basic advice... Is your boss sure he's got a female and male though? -_- lol...
