|
|
I have something of a dilemma.
As you are all probably aware, everyone who expressed an interest in having their stores/inventory moved over has had their wish granted, in part.
All of your old inventories are now integrated with the new system, but this has led me to a new problem - the stock which exists in the old Stores.
The way the new Shops work, I cannot directly edit anyone's User Shop except to close it down - we do not have the ability to add items to your Shops. I can put your old Store stock into inventories, but this will cause another problem - hitting the item ceiling (in some cases, by a lot).
DP and I already agreed to limit the transfer of the old items to no more than 30x one item for any user, just because if your inventory has more than 150 items in it, you cannot buy anything new. If I go ahead and dump the old Shop stock back into the owner's inventories, they're going to drown under a sea of items.... thus, I have a few possible solutions.
Please let me know what you'd like done.
1. Discard all of it.
2. Move the stock over until the owner has up to 30x each of their items or less, depending on the original state of their store/inventory.
3. Just dump it all in, and let the owners sort it out.
If it was easy to get rid of items you don't want, I'd just dump it all into everyone's inventories and let you decide what to do with it, but at the moment the Discard feature works one item at a time... so it could take AGES to get rid of your overstock, if you have a lot.
Apologies for the long winded post. _________________

Just, move the stock over until I have up to 30x each of my items or less, depending on the original state of my store/inventory, for me please. _________________

Okay, that seems to be the general consensus.... I'll go ahead and do that.
Oh, and if you've already noticed a bunch of stuff in your inventory you didn't buy, it's probably your old things from the original system. _________________

Since Inventories are now stackable, this issue is moot, and I'll be moving over everyone's entire store stock since you won't be penalized for holding multiples of any item.
It will however go into your inventory and not your Shop, since I cannot put things into Shops directly (and you may decide you don't wish to sell some/all of it yet). _________________
