What is a Celanthros again...?

Name: Ritka Arya Calling

Age: A young woman, of about twenty or so...

Description: Ritka is an... interesting woman. She is quite the unpredictable one, even for her species. She does not tend to pay attention to people very well, and stays mostly focused in her own thoughts... though when something interesting is going about, she pays quite the bit of attention. When angered, which could happen rationally or irrationally, she may... shift, into a different form. This will be explained later on. During the more often than not happy moments in her life, Ritka is probably sitting up in a tree, stalking someone or something that she finds compelling. However, generally when this 'compelling' thing no longer brings any spark of interest into her life, she either becomes distracted with something else or... Pouts, finds a tree, and waits for something a bit more interesting to wander past.

Her physical description is as follows- her skin is pure white, and her hair is the same color. Her eyes are a amberish orange, and a strange white tail, thin, lith, and slightly fuzzy, trails behind her. When danger is about, her eyes turn a blood red color- it is a warning sign in her race, and generally two Celanthros will mill around together, and periodically check each others eyes to make sure they are not red. They cannot feel their eyes changing color, and therefore need a friend to help them out in this respect, as they will not be able to figure out other wise. Her outfits consist of earthen cloaks, long white tunics or plain white dresses, and earthen colored pants... She also has a back pack, and soft leather boots. Another interesting aspect of her is this strange circular... thing, between the ends of both collar bones, at the base of her throat. It appears that something fits in it... She is also quite protective of a pouch that seems to be filled with stones. The thing is always hanging at her side, and her hand is almost always dangling protectivly near it.

Abilities: Ritka has a type of shapeshifting ability. It is slightly strange and somewhat random. In a pouch that she keeps at her side, she has hundreds... possibly thousands of marbles. The pouch is one of those special magical kinds - ones that you can endlessly stuff things into, and it will never fill or be too heavy. Strangely, though, she only keeps these marbles inside, and when she selects one, she had the tendancy to pull them out at random.

Within all of the clear, colored spheres of her marbles are tiny, detailed figures- though they are really too small to see them clearly. A better way to see them is if she puts them into the slot at the base of her neck. Once inserted, she shapeshifts into the form within the sphere. The forms are random, and many- there could be a dragon, or a golem, or a wolf... anything really. These marbles are one of the soul things she has a true interest in, and she finds means to collect just about every marble she can, even if it is violent. Apparently, these marbles are in random places around the world, and she will do just about ANYTHING to get her hands on them.

Species: Celanthros- an opposite in the magical races of man kind. When the magics of their world were created, certain races were given the power of magic, but not the inborn knowledge of how to bring that magic to it's fullest power. Celanthros are the only race with the inborn knowledge, but to protect the world from someone using that knowledge for ill, all Celanthros have no ability to actually use magic.

There are two sub races of Celanthros, one race that follows the Mother Goddess of Creation, and another race that follows the Young God of Destruction. The first set have generally white skin, but also white or pale blond hair. All of their eyes are orange in color, though in different shades of that orange. When danger is about, the eyes of all Celanthros in the area turn red, allerting them that they need to take action, and soon. All have the long, flexible tails that serve almost like a third hand, and generally they live among the forests.

The second sub race is not unlike the first. The only comparable difference is the hair color of these. The Celanthros that server the darker god have naturally darker fur- black or dark brown in this instance. The eyes still work in the same way as the first set, and they have the same, if not dark furred tails. This race, though they serve under the God of Death, is not actually evil- they just believe that their god should win out over the other.

A final note- it has been known, that if a white Celanthros converts to the religion of believing in the dark god, all the hair on their body will turn dark. This is the same for a dark one converting to good. The reasoning behind this, is so that trechary cannot be commited- it is fairly easy to find a dark speck in a pure white cloud, and a white speck infront of a dark back ground. Once someone converts, they must either escape quickly, or fall victim to the others around them.

Weaponry: Ritka's weaponry consists of anything that her transformations give her. If she picks one that turns her into a fire breathing dragon, then she will be just that- a large dragon with sharp teeth, claws, and fiery breath. Also, she may bumble a bit sometimes... Ie, when faced with fighting a type of ice monster, she may mean to pull out a fire marble, but mistake it for another one, and actually become something that flies.

Truth be told though, she may have one hit killer monsters in her shape shifting arsenal... but she doesn't generally use them, unless she really needs to.

Well, more of it happens to be up now... I added a few extra things here and there in some of the areas where I had things written... and so far, all I have left is her history. Then, once this story es explained, I will begin my role play...

... Or maybe I will now, and just proceed to write the history when it is more convenient for me. ^^;
