Singles Round 1: Till Doyle vs GBE

((Arena: It is a vast green land, with the occasional tree spotted about, and a forest just on the edge of the green plain circling around from the right to the left, in a semi-circular fashion. To the right is a large lake, several metres deep, and at least twenty feet in length and thirty feet in width. Around the plain there are a few boulders spread about randomly. There are most likely rocks and stones spread around somewhere.

Josh is wondering down the open plains, dodging from boulder to boulder. He had only signed up to the Olympics so that he could get away from some people chasing him. He seriously did not want to be caught by them, and he would much rather compete against an unknown person rather than be taken by those he was running from.

Although, now thinking about it, he could have found a better way in which to deal with the situation, but here he was, armed with an ability that he still hadn't trained fully to use, and a dagger that really couldn't do too much damage, even if he did have one of those strange moments of fortune.

Needless to say, his current situation is one that would make most people question their choices in life, exactly why they were here in the first place, and the best and easiest possible way out of this situation. Perhaps if he asked for mercy, or leniency. Perhaps he could even just, well forfeit the match. It would be much easier than being beaten up by some strange being, or worse, a dragon. He did not want to face another dragon; that would just be highly unfortunate...

Fin Fin sees that a young man is darting from boulder to boulder, as she watches, remaining still and patient. For this match, she had opted for her green kimono dress, so that she could move through the trees easily. She knew exactly where she wanted her opponent, but had to lure him there first.
Deciding that using Josh's tactics would be wise, she begins to move from boulder to boulder, until she is only one away from him. He appears t look a bit nervous, but, she did not with herself to be a fool. This may only be a game he plays. Reaching to her left, she removes her short sword from its hilt, and sneaking towards him, her feet moving in tiny and quiet footsteps, she gets close enough, and swings her sword towards him.

Josh, for the most part tends to remain unaware of most things. But he does know a shadow when he sees one. Turning just in time to see a sword swinging towards his face, he manages to get his shield in front him, even if it is small. It's just wide enough to stop the sword from hitting him, but the force knocks him onto his back. Attempting to scrabble backwards, he finally manages to stand up...
