Name: Ashlen Raena Redblight. However, this is a name she tells no one. As she hunts, and is generally on her own, wanting no one to know of her personally, she goes by her huntress name- Ashen Rain, or just Ashen.
Age: Twenty years of age. In some of her outfits, you really can't tell how old she is.
Gender: Female, and proud of it.
Species: Because of the banded tattoos on her body, she is often called a 'Banded Hunter', and many ignorant people believe that to be her race. Ashlen is in all aspects just a human. A trait that runs in her family (a long line of hunters), however, was passed down to her, making her occasionally seem less human. Much like certain Indian tribes believed that if they ate the flesh of their enemies, they gained their strengths, Ashen can eat the flesh (or pulp [generally cooked, but she can eat it raw as well]) of monsters (or plants) that she hunts to gain some of their strengths- and also, some of their weaknesses. Along with this power, Ashlen can use the tatoos on her body to summon different sets of armor (called forms) and different weapons, as well as being able to summon tamed creatures from a red ring on her finger for support.
Description and Physiology:
Normal Form (Or Capture Form): Without any special attributes taken on, Ashen looks to be a normal twenty year old girl. She is tall, nearly six foot, and fairly lithe. Her skin is tanned, and she has an angled, thin face with large and sparkling green eyes. Her hair is a deep auburn that hangs with bangs that curl about her face, and locks dangling around her neck. On her body, she has linear tattoos that spiral around her arms and legs, and end in points on the back of each hand and the top of each foot. These tattoos meet in a large circle at the back of her neck. Another set of lines spring from this circle, two coming up over her shoulders and heading down her torso, over her breast to stop at points right above her belly button, as well as a second set of smaller lines that come up from around her neck, up her jaw line and cheeks, and ending in points at the corner of her eyes. These lines allow her to summon her different types of armor, which her looks will be described in shortly. She has no weapons in this form, but can take on the attributes of others, just like in any of her other forms. Attributes taken on are well rounded in this form, and no one aspect of the attributes exceeds the power of another. Only in this form can she 'capture' creatures, by using a simple flute to tame them, and send their physical forms to a ring on her finger. She can summon all types of creatures she has captured in this form (only one at a time).
Heavy armor Form: In this form, she is covered in thick, bleached bone armor. Each piece and section has a large and thick bone (from some animal) set in place to protect her. A rib cage like breast plate protects her chest, with rounded shoulder bones as guards. Arm bones form protection on her arms, leg bones on her legs, so on and so forth. Her short skirt cover and protects her pelvic region with chips of bone sewn onto red leather. Each bone is sewn onto a thick layer of deep red leather, so that she can move freely at her joints. A wolf and reptile crossed skull covers her face, and from the maw of the head piece, only her eyes can be seen (the only part of her body that can be seen for that matter). If her hair has changed colors in this form, it is unknown. In this form, she wields bigger, melee damage weapons (Such as large swords, axes, hammers, and lances. These come with or without shields, depending on the weapon). In this form, attributes taken on that deal physical damage (like horns, claws, teeth, etc...) are more effective, but she is somewhat slower, and no magical attributes can be used. She can only summon physically attacking creatures in this form (one at a time).
Archer Form: In this form, Ashen wears brown leathers, along with a light and airy cape. She has high leather boots, with tight brown pants tucked neatly into them. Her chest piece is made from slightly tougher leathers, with thinner sleeves that run down to her elbows. From her elbows and on, she has long, fingerless gloves with braces on each side, to protect against her weapons harming her (the string of a bow for instance). Her green cape hangs loosely about her shoulders, coming to just above her breasts in the front, and ending in the midst of her lower back on the other side. Her hair in this form is more of an earthy brown, and it is tied back, to keep out of her face. Her eyes are more focused as well, giving her better aim at longer distances. In this form, she wields ranged weapons (bows, cross bows, long bows, throwing daggers/axes, and some guns). Attributes taken on with this form deal better ranged damage, but melee attributes are nearly useless. She can only summon range attacking creatures in this form (one at a time).
Agility Form (or Rogue form): In this form, Ashen wears tight fitting cloth armor, almost like that of a ninja. The clothes consist of black cloth pants with soft soled shoes, as well as a long sleeved black shirt, and a black wrap covering her face. Her hands are covered by thicker black gloves with better grips to hold onto her weapons more easily. Only her eyes can be seen in this form, this time in a dark, more secretive shade of green. She can see better in darkness in this form, has better hearing, and she is very quick and quite nearly silent (however, if lights flash while she is in this form, she is blinded for a moment). In this form, she wields smaller melee weapons (short swords, daggers, punch knives, chain blades, lances, etc). Attributes taken on in this form lean more towards quick attacks and added agility, but ranged attacks are nigh useless. She can only summon agile monsters in this form (one at a time).
Staff Form (or Magic Form): In this form, Ashen wears cloth and leather armor. The cloth is light in color, almost a light red without being too vibrant, and is woven from special, magical threads. Her leather is a reddish brown color, and it was tanned and soaked in protective potions.The leather makes up her boots, gloves, pants and chest plate, while the cloth rests over her body in a kind of cloak. Her hair is a light pink color, and her eyes are a vibrant shade of yellow-green. On her head, she wears a metal head band with a red jewel hanging down in the middle of her forehead. Rather than having different weapons in this form, she only has a golden staff, with a red orb resting on the head of it. She can use many different types of spells, but she must know the spells name and have ample time to cast it before the effect of the spell works. After every spell she casts, she grows more tired, and if a spell is interrupted, not only does it not work, but it weakens her body as if she had cast the spell in the first place. She can cast offensive, defensive, and healing magic, but must have a target, and must be standing still to cast (the target does not need to be standing still). Attributes in this form will add more to her magical power, and may even cause some added elemental effects (Like, in example, she casts a spell to make a shield. That blocks attacks. Now, if she takes on the attributes of a pickachu or something, and she casts a shield spell, the shield might be electrified, and cause electric damage). She can only summon magical monster in this form (one at a time). As a side note, when she casts a spell in this form, the tattooed lines on her body glow faintly.
Physical Abilities:
In her normal form, she can do all normal things humans can do. She can run, swim, jump, climb, all of that good happy stuff. She can also play the flute. In her heavy armor form, she has much more strength, but moves more slowly, has a harder time climbing, and cannot swim at all (she'd sink). In her archer form, she can and climb, and has better eye sight in the day. If she is swimming in her archer form however, she cannot attack. In her agility form, she can swim and climb, and can see better in darkness. While swimming, she can attack, but only with certain weapons (lances would be good for stabbing into the water, but not so good to swim with). Finally, in her staff form, she can swim and climb, but it is difficult unless she straps her spell book and staff to her back. If they are strapped to her back, she can't use them to attack or shield with. She would also rather not swim with her spell book, as it would be ruined.
Supernatural Abilities:
Changing Forms: When switching from form to form (and from weapon to weapon), Ashen sends some odd type of energy (it is not yet revealed what type it is yet, due to the fact that it does not make her tired to switch, like it does after casting a spell) through the tattoos on her body. This energy some how places whatever set of armor she wants on her, though it does take a few moments to complete the process. The tattoos on her body also glow faintly when she casts a spell in her Staff form, or summons a creature in any form (though depending on the clothing she is wearing at the time, one might not see the tattoos glow). The glow is only really apparent in very dark areas.
Creature summoning: This is a fairly simple process. She calls upon the one of the many beings in her ring, and wills their physical selfs fore ward, into the natural world. She can also put them back, just by willing them there. In the ring, each creature is happy, and in the most comfortable of their settings. Only creatures that she has tamed can be put into the ring- and new creatures must be fully tamed before they can follow her will to enter the ring. If a tamed creature dies before entering the ring for the first time, then it dies for good. If it dies after going into the ring and being called forth again, then it returns to the ring to heal. It cannot be summoned again until the next day. Only one creature can be summoned at a time (so, if she has one out, and she wants another one, she has to put the first back before she can call on the next).
Ability Gains: When hunting, if she makes a kill, and then proceeds to cook and eat the flesh of said kill (she can also eat it raw, though she generally doesn't want to do that), she can take on some of the strengths and weaknesses of that creature. She also takes on some of the looks of it. In example:
'Ashen takes down a pickachu (I just like killing these things, don't I?). She skins it, takes some of it's meat, and cooks it. She takes a bite from it, and she basically becomes an anthropomorphic pickachu. Her outfits (all of them) change to match her new body, and bring out certain abilities depending on which she wears.'
Most of the time, she will still be humanoid, though there are a few creatures that have made her more beast like. It only takes a bite to take effect, she just needs the essence of the creature. A lot of times, she takes around dried meats (or fruits of plant creatures), and each piece is about five bites. One bite lasts for one hour (or one post), so if she eats the entire thing, it will last for five hours (or posts). She has never tried eating two or more at once- but who is to say she can't do it? Also, depending on her weapon choice, her weapons change to match her (So if she has a large sword, and she becomes a pickachu anthro, she the sword might get zig-zaggy, turn yellow, and conduct electricity and the like). She can't turn into a creature who does not have at least one edible body part (meaning if the creature is misty, or completely made out of rock, she can't turn into it). After eating three of these things, she becomes full, and cannot stuff another into her mouth until her stomach is empty (ten posts later).
Signature Moves/Attacks:
For Every Form: Taking on the aspect of any creature, through ingesting it, may change some of the aspects of Ashen, or her armor, or even her weapons.
Normal Form Moves:
Music: Using her flute, she can coax creatures and humans to take on different emotions, or direct their attention upon something. She can make them angry, sleepy, playful, or even attack each other. However, some animals will not be coaxed, and as for humans, it really depends on how strongly willed they are. The longer she is able to play, the more effective her music becomes.
Summons: More often than not, Ashen will summon a creature if she feels that she cannot take on an opponent alone. At times she will fight along side her creature, and others she will use it as a distraction.
Meat pouch: Like in her other forms, she can take a bite from some type of meat or fruit, and take on the aspects of the creature that the food came from. In this form, however, no one aspect of the creature is elevated or lowered- she is nothing but a well rounded anthropomorphic creature.
Heavy Armor Form Moves:
Body Slam: An attack where she uses her full weight in her armor to take down an opponent by slamming into them. Sometimes she will knock them down, and others she will fall atop them. she has trouble turning while doing this, so if her foe dodges she very well could run into a wall. If she is using her lance, this is a good charge at the opponent, but with the same side effects if he or she dodges.
Tremor: Using her war hammer, she can slam it well into the ground, causing a slight shock wave around her. The force can knock people from their feet, shake things from the walls, and leave someone close by feeling slightly dizzy. If used on a wall, it will knock the wall down (most of the time).
Shield bash: Using her shield, she can bash the opponent, generally around the head so that it knocks them unconscious. If using her spiked shield, she may also attempt a bash that may stab the opponent.
Spin: Using some type of sharp bladed weapon, Ashlen proceeds to spin in circles, waving the blade around her. The spin is slow and short, only involving one turn or so, as doing more would cause her to become dizzy and vulnerable.
Archer Form Moves:
Rapid Fire: With all of her weapons excluding her cross bow, Ashlen has, in this form, the ability to fire bullets/arrows/bolts continuously, and very quickly. When she has locked onto something while doing this, she shoots with precision aim- however, if she has to move while doing the rapid fire, or change her aim in some way, her precision falters.
Splitting Arrows/Bolts/Bullets: With some of her ammunition, Ashen has cut an 'X' in the tip, so that on impact, the ammunition splits into four separate directions, causing more damage.
Poison: Ashen has collected a few poisons from various monsters, that she occasionally spreads on her ammunition. The ones she has so far: A purple poison that causes numbness in the limbs, a black one that causes blindness, and a yellowish green one that causes vomiting and eventually a high fever, and a pink one that causes long bouts of uncontrollable laughter.
Agility Form Moves:
Choke: Simply put, any weapon she has in this form that has a chain, she may use to put some one in a choke hold with.
Spin: A tad more deadly in this form than in the heavy armor one, she may spin very quickly with a weapon, looking like a small tornado. If she is using a chained weapon, you can expect that there are chains flinging about in a deadly whirlwind. She does get somewhat dizzy after word, but due to her agile nature in this form, she quickly shakes it off.
Rend: Ashen has a habit of tearing thick muscles in this form, if she can find the time to do so. She does not try to cut the limb off if she has to, but she will cut the muscle enough to render the limb incapable of movement.
Poison: Like in her ranged form, Ashen will use poisons from various monsters by spreading them on her weapons. The ones she has so far: A purple poison that causes numbness in the limbs, a black one that causes blindness, and a yellowish green one that causes vomiting and eventually a high fever, and a pink one that causes long bouts of uncontrollable laughter.
Staff Form Spells:
Translocate: Ashlen can move herself, or an three times bigger than herself, to another location. The smaller the item, the farther it is she can move it, and she must have been in or at least have seen the location to send the person/item there.
Fire ball: A ball of fire, about the size of a soccer ball.
Shield: A simple magical shield that moves with her staff, and is about the width and height of her. It blocks most attacks, but she cannot cast other spells while it is up.
Lightening shards: A bomb made of lightening, that glows. It is in the shape of a flower, and when detonated by Ashlen's choice, or by a random touch, it will send shards of lightening flying about.
Freeze: Simple- She freezes something solid, or mostly solid. Lasts for an hour (or three posts, be they mine or someone else's).
Glass floor: When cast, it creates a slippery, glass floor where she wants it to be. The larger the floor, the less slippery it is. If broken or shattered, it stays as shards of glass for an hour (three posts, be they mine or someone else's) before disappearing.
Ball of Shadow: A ball of darkness that makes it impossible to see. Ashen cannot see in it, even in her shadow form. The smaller the ball, the more dense and dark the shadow is. The larger it is, the better the chance that someone can see a bit in it. Lasts for two hours (or five posts, be they mine or someone else's).
Water spout: Ashen cracks open the earth to expel water from beneath and hit an enemy. May cause head injuries and possibly drowning.
Wax replica: Ashen can make an exact copy of herself, or something else, out of wax. This is used to distract enemies, and is often used soon before she uses a translocate spell. The replica cannot move at all, and lasts for an hour (or three posts, mine or someone else's) unless destroyed.
Healing: Ashlen can use this spell to heal herself or others when the time calls for it. Depending on the wound, it will take a certain amount of time (posts) to heal. Small wounds: one post. Medium wounds: three posts. Large wounds: five posts. Near death: seven posts. She can stop casting the spell if need be, only healing the person somewhat, but depending on the size of their wound, they will still need the recommended amount of time (posts) before they are fully healed (IE: If someone has a medium wound, and Ashlen only takes two posts to heal them before stopping to cast another spell, she will still need to heal him for three other posts before they are fully healed).Ashen cannot bring people back from the dead with this spell.
Weaponry:
Normal Form:
None. No weapons, unless she like, picks up a rock or something. Also, on a side note, any weapons she has (not ones she has picked up randomly) will change to match her out fit and appearance should she change into and anthropomorphic form (Like the pickachu example).
Heavy Armor Form:
Sword and Shield: A somewhat long sword, with a striped red pattern on it, and a large round shield that matches.
Buster sword: A thick, and heavy two handed sword. It is very long, and has the same red striped pattern that her other weapons have.
Lance and Shield: A thick lance, used for charging, with a red striped pattern. The shield is somewhat smaller than her sword shield, but it is still round and has the same pattern as the lance.
Spiked or Bladed Shield: this is a large, red patterned shield on a chain, used much like a yo yo. It's edges either have spikes, or are sharpened into blades.
Battle Ax: A large, double bladed, two handed ax, made from a red metal, along with a red wood handle. Occasionally, this ax has made an appearance in a smaller, one handed version, with the same type of shield as the lance.
War hammer: A thick hammer, made with the same metals as the ax, but thicker and heavier. The handle is also made of red wood, with a carved pattern in it.
Archer Form
Bow and Arrows: A bow made from red wood with a carve pattern. It comes with a quiver full of red metal tipped arrows. Occasionally it is seen in a long bow mode, and a short bow mode.
Dual hand bows: Small cross bows, much like guns, that have preloaded bolts and can be shot in succession like hand guns. Twelve bolts in each before needing a reload.
Cross bow: A larger version of the hand bows, one with immense power, but needs to have a bolt reloaded every time one is fired.
Throwing axe: A simple set of red metal throwing axes. There are ten in all- more damaged caused upon impact, but they are slower. They need to be collected after they are thrown.
Throwing dagger: Smaller red metal daggers, used for throwing. There are twelve in all, they cause less damage on impact, but are more precise and hit vital points better. They need to be collected again after thrown.
Sniper boom stick: A gun like contraption that fires bullets at long range. Different bullets have different effects. Occasionally she uses a shorter ranged gun, and sometimes there are rubber bullets or sand bags in it.
Agility Form:
Short Sword: A short sword, made from a red metal, with a silver striped design melted into the blade. Occasionally, Ashen can be seen with two of these.
Pole arm: A long staff with sharp blades at either end. It can come apart in the middle, leaving Ashen with two shorter spears if need be.
Katana: A long and thin sword, that is airy and light- most normal Katanas are easily breakable, but the red metal this one is made from seems much tougher.
Nun chucks: Simply put- a set of polished red wood nun chucks. Occasionally there are blades on them.
Chain blade: A chain blade is a somewhat long ranged weapon, made with a metal chain and a sharp blade at the end. It can be used much like a whip, to attach and swing from things, or it can be thrown at the vital points of an enemy, and tugged back. The chain can also be used for strangling.
Dual Chain Blades: The same as the chain blade, only on much shorter chains, and there are two of them. These cannot be use as whips, but they are smaller and faster than the original.
Punch Daggers: A blade with an oddly shaped hilt, made to be held in the hand with the sharp point sticking up between the middle and ring fingers of each hand. Both daggers are made with a red metal.
Trident: A sword sized trident, black in color with the same signature red striped pattern. Occasionally it appears in two dagger sized tridents.
Noose Blade: A scary, and dangerous item- This weapon is a thin string, barely visible, and razor sharp. More often than not, Ashen will use it in traps, stringing it across one part of a wall to the other, about neck high, in a dimly lit area. Other times, she goes for the ankles, or even carries it around with her, throwing it out like a deadly webbing. She can only see this weapon in her Agility form- so if she does not pick it up before changing forms, there is a chance that she could become tangled in it as well.
Staff Form:
Staff: Simply a plain silver staff, with a ruby red orb on the top end. Used to conduct magic, or hit things with.
Equipment:
Flute: Helps in the taming of some animals. The animal must be still, calm, and paying only attention to the music to be tamed. If the animal is enraged, gets distracted, or injures Ashen before she can finish the taming song, then the taming fails. Some creatures cannot be tamed at all.
Summon ring: A gold ring with a round, ruby red jewel in the middle. This is where she puts the physical bodies of any tamed animals she has, until she is ready to summon them. Once they are connected to the ring, if they die, they just return to the ring. They cannot be summoned again until it is the next day.
Spell book: A brown, leather bound book with a plethora of spells in it. (Spells used most often will go into the signature moves/attacks section, though there may be times when she uses a spell in the book that she hasn't used before, where in it will be places in the signature moves/attacks section, along with the others).
Pouch of meats: A small, leathery pouch with many different little compartments, that hangs at her side. Just by touch and smell, she can tell what type of meat she has in her hand.
Home:
Ashen lives in a very, very large oak tree. Different levels (and branches) hold different rooms for different purposes, and no room is built outside of the oak, but actually within the trunk of the tree. Holes are cut for ventilation, smoke stacks, windows, doors and other things. If it makes you feel better, she didn't create this entire house by herself- more rather, it was passed on down her family, and she is now the only one left to take care of it. Many rooms she has never been to before, but the main ones will be listed below.
Her Bedroom: The room that Ashen sleeps in. It is on the second level of her home, making it simple to get to. It contains a carved bed, a dresser, a closet carved into the wall, a working bathroom, and other bedroom like things.
Living room: The room on the first floor, near the base of the tree. The first room that you see when entering, if you even get to enter it at all.
Smoking/drying room: This room has two large compartments; one for smoking meats, and the other for drying meats and fruits. There are racks upon racks of food stuffs in here.
Kitchen: Well, nothing special. Ice box, grill... fire place... things like that. A normal kitchen.
Look out branch: A thick branch near the top of her tree- serving as a balcony of sorts. A large divot is cut into it, so she can walk from a hall, through the door, and out onto the branch.
Library: This room takes up quite a bit of the large tree- it has a huge amount of shelves, with near millions of books placed in an order that now only Ashen knows- as well as the rest of her family, if they are even still alive. All of these books have written descriptions of animals, plants, and places, carried down from the ages and written by Ashen's family. Ashen has her own, more recent set of books that she works on as she continues to discover new creatures in her world.
Origin:
To tell you the truth, she comes from an earth like planet which is as of yet unnamed. On this planet are very many strange and amazing beasts that live along side the more 'normal' ones. Though she does have special powers, no one else on the planet (besides her possible family members) has powers like her. She was just born into them, as all of her family (save the first) were.
History:
I could give you an incredibly detailed, story line like history... But after reading through all of this other stuff, I get the feeling you guys would just like to know her basic life. So, here it is!
Ages ago, long before Ashlen was born, her Ancestors were granted by the grace of some god a special power- one that many did not agree with. Forced into exile, the first couple of the family fled. On their own, they had to figure out their powers, and hunt to survive, as many villages and tribes would soon run them out of town once they learned of their secrets.
Eventually, as the family grew, they came upon the forest of Evertree- one that they so named for the trees that seemed to go on forever. Within this forest there were many a creature for them to hunt (and even a few breeds that enjoyed hunting them). It was here that they found the tallest tree in the forest, and carved their home.
As generations passed, their powers (and family) grew, people would soon forget the signs of witchcraft, wishing those of this hunting family to save them from fantastic and dangerous beasts. In this way, by visiting towns and not staying for too long in any one, they were able to make money, find love, and expand their knowledge, power, and home. Everyone born into the family gained this special power... But not always the common sense to use it.
Eventually, as the centuries loped along, brash members of the family took on dangerous hunts on their own, dwindling the numbers of these special hunters. Soon, it came to be that only two were left- Mirala, the last of the woman hunters in the family, and her normal husband Bilak, a hunter of his own, but with no magical tattoos on his body, and no special powers.
Taking time from their lives to start the family anew, Mirala soon gave birth to twins: A tiny girl, whom they named Ashlen, and a heavy set boy whom they names Kaiser. Both children had the magical tattoos, Ashlen a set of red, and Kaiser a set of blue. As the children grew, they were taught with books from the library how to study their prey, be strong, and intelligent, and how to not get killed.
Both children learned exceptionally well, in their own ways. Kaiser enjoyed working more on his strength and luck to take out an opponent, while Ashlen went more with an intelligent strategy (though both children were capable of either). Kaiser grew large and strong, while Ashlen became tall, beautiful, fit and intelligent. Finally, they began their own hunts, finding the resources they needed to make their outfits for their powers.
Then, the time came; On their sixteenth birthdays, they chose their hunting names (as they were not supposed to give out their real names to any passer by) and were taken to a near by town for the first time. With Kaiser under the name of Turq, and Ashlen under the guise of Ashen, they made their first appearance a city that thought the hunters truly extinct. After being accepted graciously into the city by those who most wanted help, a request for an incredibly dangerous hunt was mentioned, causing confusion and sadness in the family. Both parents knew the dangers of going after the creature, and decided to go together, leaving the children to fend for themselves as they well could for the time being. Kaiser was angry to be left alone, and brashly followed his parents a day after they had left, leaving Ashlen home alone, rolling her eyes and pondering how much trouble her brother would get into.
As time passed however, her family never returned. She went on hunts on her own, of her own accord and of the random towns she visited, but in the four years she traveled alone, she never found her family.
Optimistic, she continues to hunt and search, for creatures and for information on her lost family. As of yet, she has gotten no leads... but who knows what will turn up eventually?
Alignment: Ashlen basically acts to her own rhyme or reason. She enjoys studying things that she has never seen before, so that she has successful tactics against them. She does what she believes is right (or wants to do), which in some eyes could be considered good, but in others evil. So, she is fairly neutral to say the least.
Personality: Ashlen is spontaneously logical. That is to say, she can and generally will think things through before doing them, but she does have the ability to just rush in and get things done if need be. She is a very happy sort, with good manners and the like, but if treated poorly she is quick to respond. Her wit is fairly sharp, and her sarcastic tongue can be sharper, but that depends entirely on her mood. Finally, though she does try to think things through intelligently, mistakes do happen- and even plans that she believes will work out perfectly for her can end up backfiring. Basically, she is an intelligent and fun person.
Known Weaknesses:
Normal Form: All around, this form does all right. It's not particularly weak against anything, but it's not protected indefinitely from everything either. Also, changing from form to form takes a short amount of time. If she is ever caught in the middle of a change, the change is halted and she reverts back to her normal form. At this point, she is stunned and must take some time to recover before attempting to change again.
Heavy Armor Form: Weak to magical, but better against ranged. It is mostly weak to magical attacks, but ranged attacks don't bother this form too badly. It is not that weak to attacks more physical or agile, but they still effect her as an attack like that normally would. This form is also fairly slow, and her armor clanking together is easy to hear, quickly giving away her position. Also, she can't swim with all of the heavy armor on.
Archer Form: Weak to physical, but better against agility. This form is mostly weak to physical attackers, as it cannot easily pierce thick armor. However, agility does not bother the archer form so much, as the ranged attacker has a better time picking off the agility attacker due to good aim. Magical and ranged attacks effect it normally. This form travels at a normal speed and can shoot well into the sky, but shooting into water does not work too well, and she must stand still to shoot effectively (she can still shoot while moving or running, it's just more likely that she will miss).
Agility Form (or Rogue Form): Weak to ranged, but better against magic. Though this form is quick, it is easily picked off by archers with good aim. However, it does better against a magic user, who (with less aim than the archers) they can quickly close in on and attack before a spell is cast. Agility and physical based attacks effect it normally. This form is quiet, and can move very quickly and silently, but does not have good armor, so if attacked, the injuries sustained are more likely to be serious. She can see better in darkness, but brighter lights can blind her.
Staff Form (or Magic Form): Weak to agility, but better against physical. An agile enemy has a better chance of catching up to a magic user and injuring them before the spell goes off, thus breaking their concentration. However, when put against a slower moving melee attacker, the magic user can generally pop off a spell before the attacker gets too close. Ranged and magical attacks effect it normally. This form moves at a normal pace, and can cast offensive, defensive, and healing magics. However, if concentration is broken (by anything) during the casting of a spell, then the spell ends. After each spell cast, the magic user gets more tired, until he or she has no strength to cast any longer, or passes out. Interrupted spells weaken the caster as much as a if he or she had completed the spell.

Summonable creatures, so far:
Rhinoxik (male): A large, rhino like monster that dwells underground. It has thick and tough, rock like skin, covered in greenish blue glowing crystals. The creature, seen in the light (which is not often) has brown, dirt colored skin, and near it's rump the glowing crystals on it's body are rounded. Near the front, the crystals begin to jut out and fore ward jaggedly, serving as a painful glancing blow when the creature charges at you. On it's snout, it has a huge, double pointed crystal horn, as well as two smaller horns on it's forehead. Large, glowing eyes and small ears adorn it's head before it's large, spiked crystal frill (resembling something close to a triceratops' frill). The Rhinoxik is only slightly larger than a rhino, and it uses it's large horns to dig tunnels (or gore things). This creature can be summoned in the normal form, and in the heavy armor form.
Picopop Plant (genderless): This moving plant has a thin, vine like body that slithers along the ground. Standing about as tall as a human when upright, this plant emits a low hiss when angry. At the top of the plant, there are three long, flexible vines, with closed bulb flowers on the ends. When the plants goes still, the vines at it's base sink roots into the ground, and quickly draw up nutrients. The plant's flowers are then able to open with five huge pink petals (the middle one, or head flower, is the largest). All three flowers have holes in the center, each with thick bulbs behind them. In these bulbs, sharp seeds are created by the nutrients gathered by the roots- and each flower head shoots out these seeds in rapid bursts. The plant has no eyes, but rather more of a heat seeking sense, so it's accuracy isn't the greatest- though the machine gun like seed shooting somewhat makes up for that. This creature can be summoned in the normal form, and in the archer form.
Rishali (female): The rishali is a thin and agile feline creature, with large paws, an incredibly long, flat, prehensile tail, and two sets of large ears and eyes. It stands about chest high to a human, and has a deep green pelt, along with tree bark brown stripes. The two sets of eyes and ears give this creature incredible eye sight and beautiful hearing, and it's long, thin, and tightly muscled body gives it an agile speed like none other. It's fangs and claws are sharp and dangerous, but it's lithe body is incredibly fragile. It's tail can be used to pick things up, and between it's paw's toes are webbed frills, giving this creature the ability to swim quickly as well. Though it can jump high, it has a hard time climbing, so if the leap is too high, it is not likely to make it. This creature can be summoned in the normal form, and in the agility form.
Red Mercawsh (male): The mercawsh is a small, bright red bird, around the size of a small parrot. Like a parrot, it enjoys sitting on ones shoulder and squawking- though it's tongue more often than not spouts out fire spells than anything else. The first thing the bird can do is breath a burst of fire- the second thing it can do is fly around, and drop balls of flaming goop (at least, that's what I hope they are). The final spell it can cast is defensive- a large wall of fire surrounds the bird in a circle, keeping enemies out (hopefully) and allies in (also hopefully). This creature can be summoned in the normal form, and in the staff form.
Togepi (male): Just as you might think, this creature is indeed one of the pokemon so heavily seen about now a days. Ashen was lucky enough to stumble upon this creature on his hatching day, and he now thinks that Ashen is his mother. Like most pokemon, the togepi only knows four attacks. The first attack is charm, which it may use to lower another beast's will to attack. The second attack is yawn, which may cause another creature to become slightly sleepy, or even fall asleep. The third move (which is more of a move than an attack) is wish, which, if the poor creature is hurt, it can use to heal itself, and other creatures (if used in conjunction with Ashlen's healing spell, the togepi removes one post for each time it wishes that Ashen need to heal herself or someone else completely). Finally, the last attack is psychic, which causes another creature to have a painful headache, lowering the creature's health. This creature can be summoned in the normal form, and the staff form. _________________
