Well, I was reading though the stickied topic so as to figure out what exactly I am in need of. I decided on asking about Blackstar's freestyle as a start. I am used to more of a "set" RP on other sites. Perhaps someone could elaborate more about this "freestyle" form of RPing?
Additionally, perhaps I could recieve some training for combat?
Thanks ^^ _________________

Freestyle RP, or as we like to call it, Free-form RP, is what it says. Your character or setting can take any form you can imagine. This gives you flexibility in borrowing ideas and concepts from popular media, or creating new concepts all your own.
Battling takes place in more of a story form.
To attack, you simply say who your attacking, and which what your attacking them with.
Examples:
| Code: |
As DP stares into Cornelius eyes, he pulls out his Legendary Blade of Sanity. Then quick as lightning, DP jumps forward, slashing his Sanity Blade towards the point where the helpless grunt's neck and shoulder meet.
*DP takes out his Sanity Blade, and Jumping forward, slashes towards Cornelius neck with his Sanity Blade* |
These show to forms of writing your response, the Asterisk-action style and the Narrative style.
You cannot say whether your attack hit or not, it is up to your opponent. To say you hit them is a powerplay, which you should know is frowned upon. If they keep refusing to be hit, you can claim they are powerplaying, and most people will agree with you. As a measure of good faith, you should use your best judgement on your character's agility, shielding, and armor to determine whether they were hit or not. _________________
