Yoshimasa vs. Venom Blade

((I think we should get the results within a few days, GBE's usually fairly prompt. I feel sorry for the poor guy, this didn't seem like the easiest match to judge due to its... unusual structure. Ah well, I think you won anyway. Yoshimasa's not the easiest character to use, after all.))

Yoshimasa: I like your style with this character. Patient, intelligent and he’s been around a while, so he’s got that cool old man vibe going.

Believability: 8/10 – I could happily believe in your character Yoshimasa. Very intriguing, and well played.

Powerplay: -0/-10 – I don’t think I really saw you Powerplay once. You took a few basic hits, and dodged what any other person would have dodged quite sensibly. Top marks.

Personality/Flair: 10/10 – Like I said, I like the personality of this character you have. It’s a shame there aren’t more old men with experience over power.

Cleverness/Inventiveness: 15/20 – You used your environment to the best of your ability. Taking every advantage that you could realistically take. Waiting for your enemy to do all the work is an interesting ploy, and not one that I regularly see pulled off quite so well. But, also, because you used little of your abilities, or strike chances, I’ve deducted a few marks.

Grammar/Spelling: 10/10 – The way you write is short, but interesting, as if you really get into your characters psyche. You made a few tiny errors with your spelling. But apart from that, little to worry about.

Trot: What concerned me from the beginning was how you decided to start digging holes, even though your opponent was there, ready and waiting to fight. I would find it odd that you would be given an advantage in that manner. Then you spent a full five minutes transforming.

However, you get marks for acting as that form may (mole) and providing a vivid description of your transformations. Yoshi also made a mention of this, albeit in character.

Believability: 6/10 – I found it a little odd that you would share your characters secrets in person to another. It may be used against you in the future, and considering his aggressive streak, I would have imagined him being wary of doing so. As I mentioned before, all the pre-battle stuff, was rather odd, and unbelievable, and could have been used when you actually commenced.

Powerplay: -8/-10 – A 7’ lizard man cart wheeling? Even if I stretch my imagination, I still can’t see that happening. Apart from there was nothing I could see that would be deemed as powerplaying.

Personality/Flair: 7/10 – If this was supposed to be such an aggressive character, why was there so little arrogance, or lack of mercy. He calmed down very quickly for an old and powerful character. You could improve on ho you use this character in the future.

Cleverness/Inventiveness: 12/20 – The whole branch flame followed by burning slime attack was probably the most inventive attack I saw. But the build up was surprisingly long (in the space of selecting a branch, ripping the leaves off, and firing it, you could have quite easily been attacked). There was little here apart from your transformation descriptions that I would have really deemed worth marking.

Grammar/Spelling: 7/10 – Some of your spelling and grammar a little less than accurate, with entire words being missed. Which is unfortunate, as that greatly affects this score. Also, you were lacking interesting and thoughtful sentence structures. Quite simply, the words you used to describe the physiology ad nature of your transformations kept you some points.
