Lily sudden;y felt something go into her but she didn't understand what at the moment. It was then that she saw the tendrils reaching for her as she moved back. "Icicle" She said shooting the spell off trying her best to keep the tendrils at bay.

Lily pulled out a sword at the same time, using her icicle spell to coat the blade she started to swing at the weird things attacking her. "Move back. We have to get to the door and shut it....If all else this should hopefully stop these things...If not we have to vacate!"

Khukh tutted. He had expected something to happen, and he had not been disappointed. But whereas he had expected the traditional incantations, followed by a light show and then possibly a demon or something, instead they got a cracked altar and strange tendrils. The man stood completely still, and then clicked his cane on the floor. A whip-like tendril shot out from the cane's knob and attempted to slice through one of the dark tendrils before disappearing. Without checking to see if his own attack had worked, Khukh turned casually round and then erupted into a run,

"Well, my dear Lily of the Valley, interesting it was, but we can be sure it doesn't have our best interests at heart; unless of course the altar leads to some utopian paradise, but I somehow doubt that." he said, his voice perfectly normal despite his sprinting. He stopped at the door, and turned round to face the altar again, sending another whip of energy at a tendril, "Unless of course you'd like to...volunteer to go in and see what you can? If not then I suggest you follow your own advice and help me with this door."

The tendrils were easily severed, and they pulled themselves back into the cracked altar. There was a smash, and then a boom. Stepping out of the altar was the madman, but different.

For one, the look in his glowing red eyes was one of exhilaration. For another, his great stone sword was now made of smooth, somehow malevolent, metal. Finally, the most visible, were the limitless, numberless amount of great black tendrils coming out of his back.

"Ah, Kraken." He said in a cool deep voice, stepping closer to Lily. "Thank you for freeing me. I shall spare your new host, if you wish. Your new," He licked his lips. "Tasty, host." He said, not looking at her, but looking through her.

Then he turned to Khukh. "Salutations. It does not appear that we have met. I am Ragnask." He said. "I recommend you run. Nowhere will be far enough, but it gives you more of a chance then just standing there."

Then he opened the large door with a single push of his palm,
and smiled.

"What do you mean Kraken.. I'm Lily." She said looking at him as she suddenly got into a defense position. clearly she didn't recognize that she had been taken over at all. She watched him with care keeping herself between Khukh and the demon thing now. "What are you?" Lily asked.

[Aequor]

So it is a demonic possession? I can't remember how long since I've had this much fun!

"What a gentleman, or gentledemon, whatever you are." Khukh smiled, giving Ragnask a wave, "But if anyone will be running, it won't be me. I prefer a waltz, waltz's go nice to symphonies, better than a run does." he stepped out the door, and turned round, seeing that Lily had stopped. "What are you doing? I don't know about you but he looks quite dangerous to me now. Oh never mind, I don't like to miss what has the potential to be a gruesome death."

He laughed. "Very well, then, sir." He turned to Lily. "Kraken, you can leave. Or stay, it hardly matters to me. My children will smell you, and not harm your host."

[rosebarks]

"why the hell do you keep calling me Kraken, I'm Lily" Lily stressed as she watched the other guy before she sighed and watched him ice starting to form in her hands. Clearly a strong hostess...but no unbeatable if you knew how to do it.

Ragnask grinned. "Magic, eh? You -do- realize that using your magic on my allows me to gain control over it, right?" He shrugged, and turned back to the cracked altar "Time to arrive, my children!"

Suddenly, a burst of evil and malevolent shadowy beings appeared in the room. They roared around, sniffing everything. A small arctic rabbit who had hidden from the storm was tugged along the ground, and then devoured.

He turned to Khukh. "These are very fast, and very savage. I am so fond of them." He grinned, and raised his hand. "U-bup!" He said, and then a half dozen of the 'children' leaped towards Khukh, teeth bared.
